We’ve been running Livefyre for a while now and I wanted to get a sense as to whether you liked it or not as a replacement for the new version DISQUS. The old version of DISQUS that we were running for so long is being deleted and we’ll never be able to use that again. The new version of DISQUS is somewhat like Livefyre in that it won’t allow replies to go but 4 levels deep, stopping on the 4th nested level and stacking them after that. You can see an example of the new DISQUS over at Twitchy if you haven’t seen it yet.
One reason I like Livefyre is that I was able to customize the look of it to spread it out a little. The new DISQUS doesn’t allow for that type of customization and is a bit squished together for my tastes. Whether one is more stable than the other is debatable.
Since you guys use it a lot I wanted to get your input. So which commenting system do you prefer her at TRS?
