CONFIRMED: Media coverage “far more negative” for Trump than previous presidents

Pew Research has released its year end report called 17 Striking Findings from 2017 and among them was a report on how the media has treated Trump versus other presidents.

What they found is that in the first 60 days of coverage, the media ran news stories that were “far more negative” than they were for previous administrations.

Here’s a chart that Pew put together:

That’s a stark difference. The negative stories don’t even break 30% coverage for any of the three previous presidents.

But look at the positive stories – only five percent for Trump. FIVE PERCENT. That’s abysmal.

As Mark Levin put it this morning…

I dare say these stats improved much for Trump over the course of the year. Certainly he has brought some negative coverage on himself with his combative tweeting, but I think it’s clear from this Pew Research report as well as what we remember about Trump’s first 60 days that the media were out to get Trump from day one. They put a target on his back and have been ‘shooting’ at him all year trying to take him out.
