Oh yeah that’s vintage Coulter. You know, back when she really wanted Chris Christie, back in February of this year?

So if she thought Mittens was such a loser back then, why is she Mittens-or-bust now?

It is quite curious.

“I don’t like to attack republicans”……………….what the heck you’ve been doing to lately?

This is why I don’t understand why she and the pundits on the right are so gung ho for Mittens. This smells too fishy for me.

Even Beck is so gung ho for Mittens.

If anyone where to watch Newt’s speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition you’d think it came out of Beck’s pages………..

    http://www.newt.org/news/video-newt-speaks-republican-jewish-coalition-presidential-candidate-forum

    • Amy

If you are talking Glenn Beck, then no, he’s not for Mittens. He’s a Bachmann supporter. But he qualifies that with ‘if he were to vote in the primary’.

    • Anonymous

Beck is NOT “gung ho for Mittens”. He has repeatedly supported Bachman and Santorum. He has lumped Mittens in with Gingrich as a Big-Gov type.

As for Coulter, IMO she has never been relevant, she does and always has placed party before principles.

      • http://twitter.com/gothicreader JW

Sorry, but the other day on his radio show he and Pat were telling the listeners that Mittens was better than Gingrich. And, I mean really telling the listeners that Mitt was better. I believe it was on Monday.

Of course he has endorsed Bachmann, because that is a safe bet due to the fact she will not be the nominee. This is true with Santorum.

        • Anonymous

He may have, and he may be, if you are talking ethics, however even that doesn’t sound like a resounding endorsement. I would hardly call it Gung Ho.

Socialism is slightly better than outright communism, but I would never choose either one or claim that the statement makes me Gung Ho for it.

As for Bachman or Santorum not getting the nomination, that depends on how many voters will listen to and go along with someone like Ann, who put party before principles and integrity.

        • Anonymous

I don’t read it like that, but maybe im just being niaive. GB has been judging on the strict constitutionalist, religious and small government aspects of the candidates – and for these qualities he endorses Bachmann. Or to put it another way – he seems to have gone waaaaay overboard producing show after show after show to give the illusion of a set of personal priorities just to endorse a candidate he hopes will fall by the wayside.

Don’t get it. Need help on this one.

Because she wants to stay relevant in the 2012 election cycle, to bad she doesn’t realize her relevancy has taken quite a hit.

  • Anonymous

She is right on, we will lose.

So primary voters, ANYBODY BUT ROMNEY

  • Anonymous

Seems to me, more wanted McCain than Romney last time around, and McCain was/is such a loser. How can we ever expect Romney to beat the Golfer-in-chief. Come on peeps, let’s get this one right or we’re in big trouble. I want Obama on permanent vacation (and not on my dime).

    • Anonymous

I am totally lukewarm when I realize that RP is going to split the election and give it to O anyway. Ross Perot, Ron Paul. Here we go again!!

      • Anonymous

The only 3rd party I want to see this time around is Hilary stealing votes from O. What a dream come true.

          • Dan

i use to live on that stuff….Peanut Butter and Fluff *FlufferNutter*…maybe that’s what happened to me…after all i am a little nutty lol

Just to add to her personal flip flops, earlier this year, she said that if Christie didn’t run, Cain was obviously the clear choice. Obviously, her only clear choice is the one that will benefit her career/ bank account the most.

Sad. I’ve enjoyed Ann and her books. This election cycle has shown a side of her I didn’t think I could see, and never wanted to know.

I don’t mind giving someone the benefit of the doubt if they reconsider a candidate. Everyone who ever reads my comments knows I’ve been on that carousel a bit myself. My problem is that she pushed Christie and then Romney. Neither of those candidates reflect what she advocated so boldly in her books. They only represent a consensus among the elites in the R party that they are the ones who “could win”.

What do we “win” if the candidate’s solutions don’t square well enough with the problems? We win a front seat view of our own party kicking that old can down the road. Sorry folks, I’ve seen this show and I hate reruns.

    • Anonymous

It won’t be Romney, so don’t worry.

  • http://twitter.com/ranjay25 rAnJaY25

Can you imagine her commentary & columns if there was an all republican house, senate & WH? Of course Romney is the establishment choice, the fall guy of 2012 as McCain was in 2008.

  • Anonymous

I have to say, I like Ann Coulter. She may be a bit all over the place in this instance but she’s got a great way of totally destroying liberals.

  • Dan

ever since her and the other blond bimbo totally trashed Sarah Palin on fox i have no use for them as far as i am concerned they are RINO LITE and not to be seriously believed or listened to…sorry…i don’t forget…

I agree with you. I believe they are jealous of Governor Palin, Palin speaks for We the People and they speak for DC INSIDERS.

    Ooo eee…

Tell me, what’s a happenin’… to Ann Coulter?

Is her real-life boyfriend, no, not Chris Christie, is her boyfriend causing an earth moving shift in her thinking?

If Ann continues with sidling up to the “establishment” types, Rich Lowry at National Review will probably ask Ann to write again for the National Review.

With Ronald Reagan being the center fulcrum of the Left and Right political teeter totter, from where, from which field, is Ann coming and to where is she goin’?

It takes an incredibly strong person to rub shoulders in DC for so long, being recognized, and sought after, and then not be attached to it. Her brilliance was in her free thinking and logic.

  • Anonymous

I consider Ann just one “data point”. I like to hear what she has to say, but continue to listen broadly so I can triangulate on issues. Her message is pretty pragmatic: “Mitt is an articulate and skilled debater, not a perfect conservative, but charismatic and a winning horse.” Point well taken, Ann. But I’m surprised that she settles so emphatically on candidates so early.

  • Anonymous

I have NEVER liked this woman. Never, ever. I hope she gets her wish and everyone finally laughs at her.

Ann is always interesting, entertaining and her weekly blog is always a fun read. But. Her positions on this primary race baffle me. Must be her New England roots. She certainly hasn’t gone native, yet.

Coulter lost me the other day when she was on Beck’s show and tried to make the case that Romney was a conservative.

Coulter can write some brilliant stuff, but sometimes I have to take her with a grain of slat…or 2.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Ann Coulter is the epitome of the Ruling Class. Rush did a huge riff on this a few months ago from an article by Angelo Codevilla:

    http://spectator.org/archives/2010/07/16/americas-ruling-class-and-the

As much as I love her when she goes after liberals, and NOBODY can hold a candle to Ann Coulter when it comes to cutting liberals down to size, she’s just embedded in the Ruling Class. She wants to be friends with scum like Bill Maher. She sucks up to degenerates like Joy Behar. She’s right at home on MSNBC.

Ann’s the best at attacking the Left, but she long ago lost sight of what conservatism really is. She stopped fighting the good fight. Now all she cares about is landing a few punches and then celebrating the bout with the other team.

She wants to be invited to the bar with all the cool people. She just can’t tell who is cool anymore.

Ann Coulter is for Romney??? What the heck is going on here??

    Ann….please say it ain’t so!!!!

I think I am going to be sick…..

    http://online.wsj.com/video/opinion-ann-coulter-romney-for-pres-cain-vp/00C1384E-C358-4C7C-A832-BF1217E72C6F.html?mod=googlewsj

I watched her interview with the Wallstreet Journal and I could not believe my ears…She calls Romney Conservative…She calls Hermann Cain dangerous…Perry is not in his right mind….and she even takes a slight shot at Palin…..WHAT????

It was very noticable she did not mention Newt Gingrich or Michele Bachmann.

After all the ant-Romney rants by her to now turn around and say Romney is the one. This is strange for her to do a 180.

She says her justification is we need Romney is the nomnee not because of his ideas but because he is from a blue liberal state and will be ”acceptable”. That is just wrong because now you are talking throwing out your principles and values and that is a liberal stance and the whole reason the Republicans were killed with McCain and Dole as the nominee.

  • Anonymous

And conservatives will get exactly what they deserve. See it could all have been different if we had been courageous and brave enough to stand closely with the one independent reformer with a record of conservative accomplishments, fighting corruption and leading ethics charges against crony capitalists.

Instead we stood idly by and let them tell us she was a “distraction,” “too polarizing,” “too un-electable.” Well so be it Gov. Palin decided to pass for the sake of her sanity and that of her family, I support her. So I’ll just sit back and enjoy all this play out because when all is said and done, Romney WILL be the GOP nominee and Obama WILL defeat him for 4 more years! Bank on it!

I caught a lot of crap recently cause I admitted I am not a fan of hers.
shes at best an economic conservative only, while I am economic and social conservative.
she has insulted us “purist” conservatives (her words) a lot lately.

  • Anonymous

It’s not that a big Romney fan, for some reason she really, really, really, has a problem with Newt. Something must have transpired between over the years. As a matter of fact her comment was, “if we don’t nominate Christy, Romney gets the nomination and we lose” So, don’t think she is a big Romney fan either. “I don’t like to attack republicans”, is that what she said? On Laura Ingrams show she went out of her way to trash Gingrich. Sometimes Coulter is walking contradiction.

    • Anonymous

Her and Laura both went out of their way to trash Sarah Palin this past summer when Laura was filling in for BOR. They were awful, I lost all respect for both of them then.

Ann is sadly selling her credibility in a transparent attempt to stay relevant.

  • Anonymous

Ann Coulter needs to be shamed and made to go away. She is a horrible and pathetic hypocrite. She also thinks she is smarter than she really is. I am sorry, but you cannot act this way lady and expect us to buy your next book.

    • Anonymous

Yes I agree, she had quite a smug look on her face at the end of this video, thinks she’s so smart doesn’t she?

Ann is about show-biz and that is about the shock factor. She is usually pretty good at pushing the right buttons. In this case there is not much shock, maybe just a little bit of disappointment.

Okay, she is pretty much all over the map, but Newt wasn’t really a consideration in February, was he?? Taking Greek island tours back then, I think. Coulter has always been an east coast Republican, but I have enjoyed her books. Certainly easier than actually LISTENING to her.

Is Ann Coulter in the “spin zone?” She picked Romney as her preference and now she says this????? I am confused.

    • Anonymous

Other way around. Jumped on Romney’s bandwagon only after CC refuses to run. And she wants us to take us seriously like she’s some bastion of conservative thought and principles. Lost all respect for her and Dick Morris. Unsubscribed to their email blasts and turn them off when Hannity has them on.

  • http://profiles.google.com/ranjay25 no kia

Kind of like pro-hillary people who eventually flip flopped to BHO.

  • Anonymous

Both her and Dick Morris are all about Romney. Morris gives props to Bachmann and previously to Cain only because they knew neither one of them would be the Anti-Romney. He just didn’t want Perry just like Coulter. Haven’t listened or read anything from them lately so I have no idea on how they feel about Newt. Probably just like they did w/ Herman and Michelle. Just tune them out when they are on Hannity or any other show.

    • Anonymous

Forgot to add Michael Medved to the list too. Smart and well researched guy. Speaks well but will push for the Moderate candidate EVERY TIME.

  • Anonymous

She drives me crazy with her utterly ridiculous worship of Mr. Rhino himself, Krispy Kreme Christie. For the billionth time, Chris Christie IS NOT THE ANSWER! HE IS NOT A CONSERVATIVE! Get off of his bandwagon already!

  • Is_Sense_Common

I don’t understand her. She writes Conservatism so well & is freaking hilarious with her wit. But then she goes on these Christie & Romney tangents. What in the world?? I just don’t get it…

  • Anonymous

Ann is a realist. That’s why she is a Christy and Romney fan. I guarantee you she would get behind another candidate if they had a chance of winning. The fact of the matter is that Obama can’t our president for another term because there may not be another term for anyone if he is not beaten. Ann Coulter has done more for conservatism than any other especially in this world of political correctness. I don’t agree with everything but I agree with a lot of it. The woman mocks liberals and beats them at their own game and they know that themselves. Without Ann Coulter shoving the truth down the media and liberals throats we would have zero conservatives with balls. Pretty sad that it is a woman with the biggest ones. Conservatives eat their own. How much more foolish can we get?
