Coulter is none to happy that Newt won S.C. last night and suggested that voters in the state prefer snotty debate remarks instead of picking a candidate who can beat Obama. She also said, with respect to Newt slamming John King for the ‘open marriage’ question, that South Carolina voters had gone back to the democratic roots last night because they didn’t think the ‘open marriage’ question was legitimate and approved of Newt’s handling of it:

I think South Carolina is going back to its democratic roots. I mean, to not care about that, that’s the position of the Democrat party.

The problem is not the voters, it’s not Newt.

    The problem is Romney.

He and his supporters need a little humility, a little self-reflection.

    • Anonymous

Romney gave a concession speech last night literally slamming/attacking Gingrich. He is a sore looser! Couldn’t he show a bit of humility? His boring speeches tell a lot about the guy!

      • Anonymous

Ann Coulter/Rino establishment: “But… but… but… Mitt’s been running since 2007! What’s wrong with those voters?? Don’t they see that he’s *entitled* to be the nominee??”

        • Anonymous

Seems that too many pundits and politicians on both sides of the aisle seem to be unable to perceive what those folks in South Carolina know – that this general election will be about jobs and economic recovery, and that Romney will be far too easy a target on that subject for the Obama propaganda machine.

You must see this article on American Thinker by C. Edmund Wright “Psst: Hear the Roar and Pay Attention”

Hint: the ROAR is the sound of the newly unleashed Conservative voice.

Amazing … had just cruised Cashill’s site and had gone to American Thinker to read his ‘Iron Lady’ piece. Read Wright’s piece immediately afterward, then checked Discus messages to find your comment. Cosmic!

If this general election will be about jobs and economic recovery, and I agree it will and should be, Ron Paul is easily the best candidate and contrast to Obama.

            • Anonymous

Not with a foreign policy based on playing nice in the sandbox with people who will cut your throat as soon as you turn your back. Good fiscal policy but crackpot way to approach the world with the “Golden Rule”.

Wise up or WWIII will be upon us and we won’t be the ones starting it.

              • Anonymous

WW3 will be upon us with anybody BUT Ron Paul (including Obama), and we will likely be the ones starting it.

                • Anonymous

So, how, exactly, will Ron Paul’s foreign policy protect the USA?

                • Anonymous

Because if you have your head buried in the sand, you won’t see the nukes coming till they hit and then it won’t matter :)

                • Anonymous

It is precisely our interventionist foreign policy that fuels hatred towards us in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world. It was not long ago that we had a very good reputation in the Middle East, but we have undone that all with decades of invasion, occupation and intervention in that region.

In addition, we simply cannot afford to continue the foreign policies of recent decades. We are destroying our currency, and we cannot be a strong sovereign nation without a sound dollar.

“If we’re an arrogant nation, they’ll resent us. If we’re a humble nation, but strong, they’ll welcome us. Our nation stands alone right now in the world in terms of power, and that’s why we’ve got to be humble.”

                  –George W. Bush

“Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be. But she goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.”

                  –John Quincy Adams

                • Anonymous

DO Paul supporters really think the Muslims hate Americans because of our interventionist policies? They hate all non-Muslims. They hate you and they’d slice your neck with a rusty blade and upload a music video to you tube and show Muslim kids using your head for soccer.

And why shouldn’t they? Look at the behavior, the likes and dislikes of every race and every religious sect on this planet? You think the Chinese like white people? You think the Sikhs have a diversity program to urge Muslims to educate their females? Did you ever pull into a Carl’s Jr. at 10pm on a Saturday night in South Central LA?

I really appreciate the issues and the energy Paul and Paul supporters bring to this contest! But this “turn the other cheek” crap was never the advice you’d give to a man who’d had his jaw broken when the first cheek got slapped. Sometimes Paul supporters sound like Placator in Chief Obama. I can’t believe that Ron Paul would just pick up the ball and slink back to America like a little girl, like the incompetent, weak American apologist, Obama.

Ron Paul doesn’t get to be the only kid in school with no enemies. Look around-you’ll find the first wave of enemies, people who want to subjugate you through control of your language and your wealth living right here, working in you city and state offices, delivering your mail, fleecing the taxpayer on highway projects, protecting smelt from American farmers in the delta. The last invasion of Europe by the Muslims lasted 30 years and didn’t end until they were militarily defeated in a battle which took place in Italy. You want to fight Muslims in Hoboken? This war’s just begun and it’s a bit early to pull the chicken switch.

                • Anonymous

Wordsfailme (great name when talking to Paulbots), I realise yours was a rhetorical question but Ron Paul and his group really do think the moslems hate us because of our policies in Israel, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Remember, they are largely students who have a rose colored glasses view of the world and no understanding of history beyond their high school years. They think they are on the cutting edge of learning but are really very uneducated on the ways of the world and lessons from 5,000 years of history.

Can’t wait to hear their justification of their inexperience,

                • BS61

They seem to willfully ignore the history of one of our founding fathers who went to war against the muslim pirates!

                • Anonymous

Well, we’d better drop a couple of nukes on Indonesia this morning then. They do have the single highest Muslim population of any country in the world. Just think, if we had plunked a couple down there in the early 1970s, ole’ Barry Soetoro wouldn’t even be here to be in the White House!

At the very minimum, we should obviously stop trading with them and invade and occupy their lands immediately. If nothing else, impose some really strict sanctions on them.

In all seriousness, I would recommend everyone read “Dying to Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism” by Robert Pape. This book examines the motivating factors behind the over 450 suicide attacks between 1980 and 2004. Turns out al Qaeda terrorists are ten times as likely to come from a country in which our troops are present, while they are only two times as likely to come from a country with a strong radical Islamic presence.

                • Amy

Way to spin the narrative there… Since we don’t support Paul because of his isolationist views, we obviously all want to bomb every Muslim nation.

By the way, suicide missions have been a tool for many an enemy. Japanese kamakaze pilots ring any bells? Did we somehow ‘ask’ for it and piss them off too?

They, like the democrats, aren’t going to magically wake up one morning and decide they like us. Do some research on radical Islam, please.

                • Anonymous

I think WordsFailMe was quite clear in his assertion that Muslims are the enemy. He or she made no attempt to differentiate between different kinds of Muslims or Muslims from different countries.

“DO Paul supporters really think the Muslims hate Americans because of our interventionist policies? They hate all non-Muslims. They hate you and they’d slice your neck with a rusty blade and upload a music video to you tube and show Muslim kids using your head for soccer.”

Given Indonesia has more of the world’s Muslim population than any other single country (about 13%), shouldn’t we take them out first? After all, they hate us, and want to play soccer with our decapitated heads.

Ah, but you specified “radical Islam”…so why are these Muslims so “radical” but others are not?

                • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QQO7GTBNY5LU7OGGN3NH5LMOAY TimA

Because they attacked us. Why is this so hard to understand?

Americans know the difference between someone who is working to hurt us, and someone who may want to, but can’t or won’t.

                • Anonymous

But why did they attack us? Why don’t Muslims from Indonesia attack us?

                • bobemakk

We are a “noble” nation and have liberated many from their dictatorship leaders and this is the thanks we get? They cut off the heads of our military and citizens and our country should back down???

Look at Iraq, as soon as the big zero/Obama brought home all the troops the fighting worsened and continues. Iran will take over and control the middle east since our troops are gone. All our military that came home maimed or killed was all in vain in Iraq.

                • Anonymous

Is it the foreign policies of the French that have caused the Muslims to riot and burn there? To rape French women?

                • BS61

When I used to be a Dem, I thought like you. Ends up that I was misinformed. Please read up on Islam!

See my comment above in response to you. You had better wake up. AND if Ron Paul runs on a third party ticket which he has threatened to do, he will rob the republicans from a win, and assure another 4 years of Obama misery.

                • Anonymous

Wacko Ron Paul doesn’t have as much support as the polls” SEEM” to indicate,he and his PAULBOTS are subversives and they continually HACK into polls and gin up false support for him just like Obama does with the dead voting and other dirty tricks. His support is mostly crackpots and addle minded youth of whom most will not bother to vote. With today’s growing ignorance and immaturity of today’s youth it’s a good time to raise the voting age back to 21.Anyway as soon as he leaves BAR HIM FROM EVER COMING BACK,because he’s NOT WORTHY TO BE A REPUBLICAN !

                • Anonymous

The major polls (Rasmussen, PPP, etc) for the states so far have been quite accurate, actually. Ron Paul doubled his support in Iowa from 2008, and tripled it in New Hampshire and South Carolina.

He got about 3% in Florida in 2008, so expect 10% or so this time. Florida is a closed primary state, and lost half of their delegates as a penalty for moving their primary date up. Most significantly, Florida is a winner-takes-all state, so Ron Paul would be wise to spend zero time and money there and let Mitt and Newt duke it out for the 50 delegates while he campaigns in states he did very well in last cycle, including Nevada (28), Minnesota (40) and Maine (24).

The voting age should remain 18 as long as that is the age one must register with the selective service system.

            • Anonymous

Beware, Obama is going to do everything he can to change the narrative of this election from the economy to something else. His administration believes that creating crises is an art, and at times a necessity. 2008, it was all about the middle-east until the financial collapse. We repubs ran a war hero who knew little about economics. If Romney, the economics expert gets the nod, you can expect a manufactured crisis to pivot away from concerns for the economy.

              • Anonymous

Romney may have a boatload of money, but he has not demonstrated a superior knowledge of economics to Dr. Paul.

I agree that Obama will attempt to divert the focus away from economic matters. Good luck with that.

            • bobemakk

That is why you got only “one” like, for your comment. Ron Paul is an oddball who even goes as far as blaming US for bringing about 9/11. Ann Coulter has given her support to Romney a RINO, what the hell is the matter with her?

Gingrich is the man for the presidency. The lamestream media is trashing Newt for “historical” baggage. All politicians have baggage if we dig deep enough, but the lamestream/left socialists won’t expose democrats, they love the big zero/Obama. Newt has made his mark with his “Contract with America,” a contract he fulfilled that no other politician can match. He is a true conservative, and gaining in the polls. He also now has the support of the Palin family and Rick Perry and now Chuck Norris. Newts daughters also wrote to ABC about the Brian Ross interview with their mother and said it was a mean and nasty move right before a primary, which he won anyway. We need this man to bring back our country into prosperity. However, I will vote for anyone who runs against the Obama regime.

I just wish that the candidates would stop slamming each other and focus on the multitude of failures by Obama, he has ruined US and we are on the brink of bankruptcy.

        • Anonymous

I can’t express how disappointed I am with Ann. She sure isn’t graceful in this loss to Newt. While I don’t think Newt is the best candidate, he has been brilliant in his debate performances and his victory speech was spot on. I would take Newt over Mittens any day at this point.

Romney’s been running races 25 times and only won six of them, how much more of a LOSER does he have to before people wake up and reject him totally!

        • Anonymous

I have lost all respect for Coulter. What a total and utter hypocrite. She nailed it last year when she said if Chris Christie decided not to run then Romney would be the nominee and we would lose to Obama. Well now look at her stance? It is entirely incoherent. Also the venom with which she is attacking Newt is just beyond the pale. It actually sickens me. She and Chris “Krispy Kreme” Christie make strange bedfellows…..they are welcome to one another.

I have every book that Ann Coulter has written. Up to this point I have always been a fan. Not any more. I can safely say this is one Conservative who has been completely turned off my her because of vile attacks on Newt and her support for the biggest Rino in the party.

          Go Newt !!!!

      • Anonymous

No kidding … did you hear both Gingrich and Santorum? Both rose to the occassion and complimented the others. Newt especially went out of his way to make positive comments on every other major candidate. Mitt’s a bitter sore loser!

    • http://twitter.com/BecksInsanity Guy Who Talks Polytx

It wasn’t Romney who voted for Newt. It was the voters. Don’t try to blame Romney.

      • Anonymous

It was because of Romney’s choices, beliefs, background, etc. that the voters chose Newt. So, yes, it is Romney’s fault.

        • http://twitter.com/BecksInsanity Guy Who Talks Polytx

Romney’s beliefs and choices are not worse than Newt’s; in fact, they are much better than Newt. Romney himself is a capitalist, and that’s an important position where he and Newt differ.

It’s the voters fault, because they cast their ballots for the wrong person, and, being South Carolinians, were not able to come to an informed choice. Romney can hardly be held responsible for the majority of the state making poor decisions. Ultimately conservatism is about personal responsibility.

          • Anonymous

The only thing Romney will be held accountable for is a gracious defeat and concession…soon.

            • http://twitter.com/BecksInsanity Guy Who Talks Polytx

Romney will be held accountable for whether or not the economy improves during his term as president, as are most presidents.

Romney: I created 100,000 jobs in my time at Bane Capital Barack.

Obama: I think its great you created 100,000 minimum wage jobs Willard but you gutted pension funds, closed down plants and sent the good paying jobs to China and Mexico….And when you were governor your state was 47th in job creation.

              Romney: BbbbBu..bbbbu but but…

Obama: Calm down Willard its my turn to speak. I saved us from a near depression you Republicans left us with and since then I have created millions of jobs….blah blah blah.

Romney But you did the same thing at GM Barack.

Obama Stop being a hypocrite Willard you didn’t want to bailout GM at all and wanted to see all those workers lose good paying jobs just like you sent the good paying ones to China and Mexico after you raided their pensions and such Willard.

Romney Stop picking on me Barack.

Obama Willard you claim your business experience means you know how to create an environment for job creation yet MA was 47th under you.

Romney: I inherited a bad situation Barack, I also had to work with the opposition party opposing me,

Obama: ***big smile*** Thanks for making my case Willard.

Romney will take the GOP down with him for pushing a milquetoast who doesn’t defend well and underestimating the man who beat the Clinton machine.

          • Anonymous

            1) Romney is unwilling to even talk tough. Why would anyone trust him to be tough if elected?

            2) Newt hit the nail on the head when he said in his acceptance speech that he articulates what Americans are feeling. Romney has neither shown that he does, nor that he cares. Romney’s flip-flops make me believe that he will say anything to get elected. Newt at least took the risk and committed himself to a position.

            • http://twitter.com/BecksInsanity Guy Who Talks Polytx

Romney has consistently supported capitalism and even profited from capitalism in real life. Granted, Newt hasn’t flip-flopped either. He’s been consistent about attacking capitalism, saying capitalism is predatory, attacking Paul Ryan’s conservative economic plan, and getting paid $1.6 million from Fannie Mae to promote government subsidized subprime mortgages.

              • Anonymous

well, at least your consistent (full of misinformation, but consistent)

              • Anonymous

Ah. You get your ‘facts’ from Glenn Beck. No wonder your so wrong. Your’e actually wrong on each point you made. For example, Newt didn’t criticize Ryan’s ‘economic plan’, that was his Medicare plan.
Another example, he didn’t have a contract with ‘Fannie Mae’ it was Freddie Mac, he didn’t get paid ‘1.6 million’, his company did over 5 years. That’s kind of like saying Romney made 60 Billion dollars at Bain Capital. :-| Newt’s personal PROFIT from consulting for Freddie Mac was about $35,000 a year for 5 years. Why are you against capitalism?
                Keep trying though!

            • Anonymous

Well said, RINO ROMNEY has to wait for a poll to come out on unfamiliar topics, so he then tell you he’s for what’s popular!

Whoa, you’d better back off bucko – way, way off. What gives you the right to make a blanket statement like that calling South Carolinians “uninformed”? They aren’t the blubbering, illiterate, knuckle-draggers you seem to think they are. They WERE informed. Maybe you should do a little research and find out for yourself what the voters in SC already know. I suggest you start with the exit poll data.

Rmember: Just because *you* allow the main stream media to lead you around by the nose doesn’t mean everyone does.

If South Carolinians weren’t so uninformed, as proven by many historical instances and South Carolina’s legacy, they would have been informed about the following facts:
              – Newt is anti-capitalism and attacks private sector work
              – Newt attacks Paul Ryan’s conservative entitlement reform plan
              – Newt supports government subsidized subprime loans, either because of his own anti-capitalist opinions or because of the fact that Fannie Mae paid him $1.6 million
              – Newt was fined $300,000 for ethics violations
              – Newt makes outrageous comments often (“He speaks bombastically and carries a tiny stick”)
              – Newt doesn’t address any of these important issues and rather yells at anyone who questions him, including the media

                The ‘informed’ people of New Hampshire voted for Mitt Romney, because he’s such a great conservative;

Mitt supported abortion, planned parenthood, allowing underage girls to get abortions withour parental consent, and embryonic research. Yay!

Mitt raised taxes and fees everywhere imaginable, pushing Mass down to 4th worst in job creation in the nation, during the very good economic times of the 90’s.

Mitt supported the Brady Bill, Assault Weapons ban and raising the gun tax in Mass from $25 to $100.

Mitt passed Romneycare, the precursor of Obamacare, Obama liked it so much he used Mitt’s own advisors.

Mitt passed a cap and trade bill in Mass, using OBAMA’s SCIENCE CZAR JOHN HOLDREN. Refresh your brain about John Holdren, the man that thinks humans are a virus and steriliants should be used in the water supply and forced abortions.

Mitt supported all the big bank bailouts with taxpayer money.

Mitt supported gay marriage and transgender ‘rights’.

That’s just a few. Yeah Mitt’s a conservative dream. harharhar.

Clearly your english language skills are lacking, perhaps you never graduated high school? She said Mitts Romney was a “SORE LOSER”,nothing to do with him voting? Romney was blaming the voters for being stupid in essence because they didn’t support him enough as if to say how dare they! Santorum later took cheap shots at Newt also, traitor he was suppossed to be friendly with Newt but recently he’s been taking more and more shots at NEWT from the rear.

    • Trust1TG

Make that a lot of humility and self-reflection… and maybe that goes for the Paul supporters as well.

A mob of young (and old) people who want drugs, porn and sex-trafficking legalized, not prosecuted, no taxes and think it’s a cool idea to make friends with Islam is not a thinking, self-reflective base.

She doesn’t though. I spotted her for a ditz years ago.

Mike, you hit the nail on the head exactly!! Well said!

I don’t say what I’m about to say often and I don’t teach it to my children but for her vocal judgement of the South Carolina voters I say to Ann Coulter…..
        SHUT UP.

        • Anonymous

Debntx, I rarely say SHUT UP either. But Ann Coulter has, as we would say in the south, a hate-on for Newt. Both she and Beck are insane in this matter. Both say Newt is a progressive … as if Mittens is a stauch conservative. I haven’t read her column since her first trashing of Newt, where she repeated the false accusation that Newt bashed Paul Ryan’s budget (he didn’t, he answered a specific question in the way all us conservatives would answer it). It’s so nuts.

If you want a smile, listen to Newt in 2009 (note the sarcasm where he refers to himself as a moderate)

Her theory is exactly the opposite of Rush’s. She thinks we have to appease the sacred cow independents or they will vote for Obama. Sorry but thats stupid. The people want a fighter for conservatism, someone not afraid to be politically incorrect. Newts cheap shots are effective and dont beat around the bush.

      • Anonymous

^^THIS!!^^ except that Newt’s aren’t cheap shots they’re the truth.

Let Indys vote ABO! and they will, not the people that brought the GOP back out of the wilderness in 2010.

That tactic has been tried in Canada by a shoo-in-to-win conservative candidate against a very unpopular Liberal sitting Premier of Ontario Canada. A conservative candidate campaigning as a moderate at best and outdoing a Liberal in spending promises in the hope of attracting minorities and moderates, he ended up losing the whole thing to the most unpopular liberal Premier. Learn a lesson America, no moderate campaign will do this time around, fight and campaign for conservatism and its values or you will lose.

    • Anonymous

      You got that right.

    • http://twitter.com/BecksInsanity Guy Who Talks Polytx

As you noted, Coulter already proved with her books that she is a real conservative, not like you or most of the other commentors on this site. Ann is much more conservative than you will ever be.

Sidenote, the people who buy her books whom she profits off of are mostly small-minded sheep. They won’t remember for two days what Coulter said, let alone two months or a year. Of course she will manipulate you into giving her more money again and again each time she writes a book. She’s an intelligent Harvard-educated professional, and it’s just to easy for her to make a sale to the majority of people.

      • http://twitter.com/darth_marie Darth Marie

Uh, no. She’s a rancid hag and her career depends on Obama being President because if he weren’t, she’d have nobody to bitch about.

She’s a worthless sack of crap who looks and talks like a post-op tranny who hasn’t taken enough estrogen and she’s light years from being a conservative. She’s an embarrassment to the conservative movement and it’s high time she stop acting like a monarch and let the people vote for who they want.

She’s a prostitute. That’s why she sells books.

Furthermore, you don’t know me and you know nothing about me. Anyone who is a shameless fag hag like her is not a conservative. I’M the most conservative person on earth.

        • http://twitter.com/BecksInsanity Guy Who Talks Polytx

Um, no, she sold millions of books before Obama was even elected. You are a loser who couldn’t even qualify for Harvard.

And you also agree with misogynistic liberal Ed Schultz who thinks that women–and particular successful conservative women–are “prostitutes.”

Coulter may have once been a conservative, but she is not a conservative anymore. Have you listened to her lately? Do you remember her repeating she was voting for Obama in 2008 because McCain was the nominee? I remember. I remember a whole bunch of stuff Miss Coulter has stated and supported in the past three years. Whatever conservative pin she used to wear, that puppy is tarnished beyond repair now. She can’t convince me she’s some staunch conservative – Rubbish.

Ann: note to self. Don’t insult conservative voters. They are, or used to be, your followers. They won’t be much longer if you keep this crap up. We have 4 great candidates. May the best win.

He has a soft spot for gun control

Romney is not valued for his stellar personal life-family values, married to one woman-good father, faithful church member sharp, wealthy business man-he is seen as a MORMON which to some “christians” is problematic(especially in the south) and he is very very wealthy and that sets him apart and he seems at time kind of stoic in his appearance-he needs to kind of let his hair down and interact with the people in a warmer down to earth way imho!

Ann is correct the people like the “fire” that Newt came at the press with-image is everything to Americans because if it were NOT Santorum who seems more like the average conservative guy would have won!

I don’t know if any of the candidates can beat Obama-I just know that I want people to want O out enough not to cast such foolish dispersions on those still standing to the point that others believe that it isn’t possible to win with whichever candidate-I have issues with them all and I like them all-and I want Barack and Michelle out of the White House.

The truth is that no matter what these guys say-the candidates I mean-campaigning and governing are two different things and to “believe” EVERYTHING they say is just unwise!

Her ignorance got the best of her years ago when she told Hannity that ear marks didn’t matter because it wasn’t enough money to make any difference.
This is the kind of thinking by our politicians that put us where we are today. Steal a little steal a lot, it’s still stealing. When your accounting for how your spending our money, everything counts. Nothing being spent is inconsequential. She’s been on a downhill slide ever since as far as conservatives are concerned.

She might want to take back her remarks re: Iowa voters. When Romney had supposedly won by 8 votes, they cared about “winning.” But, now that Romney lost, I wonder what she would say about IA voters, since this seems to be her schtick.

I guess the “will of the people” is a quaint notion to pundits like Coulter.

It’s like Newt says… it’s not because he’s a great debater (he is) but because he articulates what Americans know deep down. Anyone who can stand up to the media is bound to be a shoo-in, even Mickey Mouse. And the more the media attacks him, the more support he gets. People are not falling for the media’s pushing and shoving against Americans anymore. The funny thing is… the media are the last to know that their credibility is shot. Like dunces, eleven months from now they’ll inevitably be trying to analyze and figure out why Newt ended up as President… totally clueless that they were Newt’s unwitting campaign team

Ann Coulter should be boycotted and kicked out of the Conservative movement. ML needs to quit calling her a friend and breaking bread with her. She is vicious and shown herself to be a RINO. Now, she is attacking the good people of S.C. Unacceptable.

Ms. Coulter is a secular, centrist, fiscal conservative,
a film noir ‘je ne sais quoi’ edgy, nouveau, creative anachronism conservative,
who keeps a heady buzz of cognitive dissonance going on,
by balancing both liberal and conservative beliefs at the same time.

That, folks, is A Romney Conservative defined!
It’s not flip/flopping; it’s a special kind of connoisseur conservatism
practiced by the select, elite cognoscenti.
Theirs is a fine vintage conservatism
that can only be appreciated by the select few
and the unwashed masses like the social, Biblical, fiscal, political conservatives
more characteristic of the people of South Carolina,
should just be quiet and obedient and
vote the way they (Coulter, Drudge, Will, Christie, Bush, even Haley)
    tell them to vote.

Now, Coulter is as pouty and petulant as any Scarlett O’Hara,
disapproving and fussing about South Carolina’s choice.
She can’t figure out how and why Newt Gingrich could inspire such a vote,
because she did not anticipate the anger of South Carolinians
toward the political and financial elite like Romney
would figure in and affect the outcome of this primary.

Folks in SC are not just angry,
They are good and angry – especially the middle income and Christians (the majority of SC)
    They are:
    – angry with Obama the overtly corrupt Crook in Chief and his pridefulness, appointments, actions, lavish vacations, etc.
    – angry with his usurpation of power, ignoring our great Constitution and the law.
    – angry with his foreign policy and buddying up with Islam
    – angry with his domestic policy,
    – angry about his enforcement of PC lies, violating evidence, facts, science and their consciences
    – angry about the Keystone Pipeline
    – angry about the closure of their factories and businesses
    – angry about Holder’s lawsuits against the states
    – angry about the persecution of churches by the US Gov.
    – angry about OWS
    – angry about the unions
    – angry with the courts (the courts are causing much anger and pain for Christians in the US, while Obama’s Islamist buds are causing more pain for Christians world-wide)
    – angry with the Media trying to push them around and shove liberalism down their throats
    – angry with the RINOs, particularly those in DC who are not standing up to Obama
    – angry about gas prices, food prices, lay offs, joblessness, etc.

It was Newt who voiced their anger for them.
    So he got their vote.

I hate to burst your bubble. Agree with everything you say. But south Carolina and the south are “full” of “Evangelical” Christians. People who would rather see Obama in as president again then vote for a Mormon. That is the reason why Romney will never ever come in 1st in those southern states. It is a “Well” known “fact” that Evangelicals view Mormonism as a cult. It was the Evangelicals that discriminated against us in the early days of the church and taught their kids that Mormons grew horns. Fact not fiction. Their “Hatred” for the Mormon church still lives on today. I see because I live in Utah and watch the General Conference the church has 2 times a year. I have been down to the conference 5 times in my life. I have to walk through People yelling hate remarks (Almost like the occupy wall street people) at me as I go in to the conference center. Most of them Protesting my “rite” of freedom of religion. The first time I took my son to a conference he was scared out of his mind. Not to mention all the times I see it on TV too. It is no secret Evangelical so called (Christians) would rather see America Fall than to vote in a Mormon with Horns. This win in SC means nothing to Romney. Romney Knew it was going to be hard to win the South. I am surprised he did so well. I thought he was going to come in third or 4th again.

This was Proven watching Fox News last night how Megan fox did a Poll. She said the Religious people who are the (Evangelical Christians) if they thought religion was one of the key elements of the race who did they vote for. I can’t remember the exact figure but it was like 70+ percent said if that was the case they voted for Newt. People who did not think Religion played a big portion of this election they voted for Romney.

Most people in America will agree that the number 1 issue facing this country is the Economy. Everything is tied to it. Defense spending, Taxes, Jobs, Bigger government vs. Smaller government. We have the opportunity to vote someone in that is self made that knows how the ECONEMY works from the GROUND UP. You may not like Romney’s “Personality” you may not like his (religion) but that is what most people are basing their vote on. I cannot believe people as a mass (Americans) no less that their vote can be swayed by Personality or religion. Romney is a Capitalist, who wants what’s best for America.

If everyone agrees. The Race now is Newt vs. Romney. There is a lot of dirt on Newt that has yet to come to light. When it does. Down goes Newt. I hope Romney hope Romney bares Newt in the next few election cycles.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ab3SiqCqI0 Youtube used to be full of them, All I can seem to find now are all the protests the Gays are putting on. A few years ago there was about 50-100 videos of them.

There is a very revealing line in your post: “I hope Romney hope Romney bares Newt in the next few election cycles.”

Never mind the psychological significance of the repetition. Why would anyone right of center hope to see a right-side candidate publicly demeaned? That expresses a Coulter-like viciousness that you must be aware is reprehensible to most of the commenters here.

      • Anonymous

I am going to give you some criticism TRS. This site is so anti Romney I can only remember one post that was positive about Romney. You have to go back 3 pages to find a good post about Romney. You have 15 bad to 1 good Romney on this site. It is blatant how bad. TRS you are doing to the Right what the Main stream media did to the left. If you want to remain Neutral than remain neutral and be a legitimate News outlet. When you’re so one sided like this it degrades you guys. I know how you feel about Romney in all the posts you post. THIS IS A ANTI ROMNEY SITE. TRS even answered one of my Blogs about this subject saying it is there site and they can back who they want. “TRUE” I can tell you for me it degrades this site.

People say I am so dogmatic. On this site I have to be. For sticking up for Romney I get hounded another 15-1 against Romney. I believe what I believe and Newt is a Corrupt Politian. The only reason why he has a chance at winning the presidency this time around is because NO-ONE wants Obama anymore. We would more likely vote in Mickey Mouse over Obama. That is the only real reason why Newt even has a chance this go around. He is a cleaver little cookie I’ll give him that.

        • Anonymous

Ragging on TRS for what his readers think is like complaining ’cause you don’t get the ‘likes’ that ABC gets. It is what it is. People have their own points of view.

At the end of the day, everyone here would support Romney if he is the nominee. The reason we are wary, besides the flip/flops is that every so-called conservative site, Fox News, and the establishment are pushing him on us. He is slick and smooth. I want someone who has changed Washingtonm that is Newt. I also have a problem that he says he is pro-life and then has his state pay for abortions. Give me an ex-cheater any day, over someone that pushes abortion.

        • Amy

I’m a conservative, evangelical Christian. My not wanting to support Romney has NOTHING to do with what religion he practices. Just as my not wanting to support Obama has NOTHING to do with race.

If you support Romney, good. It’s your choice. Just as others are free to support the candidate of their choice. But to say that evangelical Christians won’t vote for him simply because he’s Mormon is the same as calling us all racists bigots because we don’t support Obama.

          • Anonymous

I hope you’re not getting that from my thread. I should apologize if you took it that way. I am in no way saying that every evangelical Christian thinks that way. I do however think a majority feels that way. Of course everyone has the right who they want to support for president. I am in no way saying we all must think alike. In fact this is one of the most interesting presidential forums I think we have ever had as a nation. If you took my thread that way I am “SORRY”. I did not mean it to be so.

So, that makes Newt a better pick? Newt has also said those things and acted much worse when he was in office. Romney is the better pick.

                • Anonymous

Please answer my question instead of attacking Newt. That is what liberals do, attack because they don’t have answers. You can do better than that.

        • KenInMontana

Speaking for myself, and as a Moderator on this site (which does give me a bit of insight), if indeed the “policies” of this site were as “anti Romney” as you claim. Do you in all honesty think that you would still retain your posting privileges here?

Blogs are first and foremost opinion sites, the stories (or threads) are generally going to reflect the site publisher’s opinion or bias, that is just a fact of life. While RS does in fact post news articles, a great deal is opinion. RS is expressing his views and opinions, if those do not precisely line up with your own, well in all honesty you have a couple of choices, you can either “deal with it” like an adult and stay; or you could find a site that more closely matches your own political views and post there. But to expect the publisher of any site to bend to your wishes and change the content of their site to suit your views is, in all honesty, just a tad naive.

In the end (as I have previously stated), the choice is yours to make, either way it’s a choice that requires you to put on your “big boy pants”. If you find that this site and the views of it’s owner and those he has chosen to post articles here “degrade” you, well then, unless you like subjecting yourself to degradation, perhaps it is time for you to move on, or you can “man-up” and accept that your choice of a candidate has placed you in a minority position and just get over it. Whichever way you decide, it’s your decision so I will leave you to contemplate that, no “threat” implied, just a statement of the way it is here. The choice you make is up to you.

I’m sick of hearing the bigotry of Christians BS.

Blacks vote for Obama because he is Black and Obama supporters call anyone who doesn’t trust or like Obama’s policies are racist.

Mormons will probably vote for Romney in high percentages and its OK but Christians are not allowed to vote another Christian or they’re bigots.

I’m sick of the hypocritical PC police. They’re the real bigots and racist and political correctness is a tool of tyrants.

        • Anonymous

I am sorry but Mormons have been voting for non-Mormons for how long? We don’t view it as immoral to do so. We look for the best man for the job. We don’t come out and say we aren’t going to vote for him because he belongs to a Lutheran, Catholic, Baptist, church.

Mormon’s will vote for Romney in a high percentage rate. If you remember 4 years ago he got 92 percent of the vote in Utah. Which is unheard of. Don’t twist my words and say it is political correctness. If you knew me you would know that I am the last person you would say that about. I am not hypocritical for pointing out the facts.

          • Anonymous

Your two paragraphs seem to say opposite things.

In ’08, Blacks were chastised for massively voting for Obama, and the reply was ‘blacks are democrat’. However in the primaries, Blacks voted massively for Barry over Hillary. So that theory didn’t hold water.

How is it that Mormons will vote for non-Mormons depending on their view, yet they massively voted for Mitt 4 years ago?

            • Anonymous

Hello; Nuke good to see Ya. I am not going to get in a debate defending the actions of people I don’t even know. For me Mitt was the man 4 years ago. This time around if Santorum stays in the race. Me and everyone that I know is voting for him.

The reason why I feel a “NEED” to sick up for Romney is because I feel he “WILL” be the nominee. I would rather see Romney in office then Newt. If I do have an agenda, then it would be that. Newt is a bad choice. He has a bad history (Worse than flip flopping). Romney, is a more stand up guy is then Newt is any day of the week.

On a personal note. I respect you Nuke. I have read your threads, I can tell if we knew each other we would be friends. Me and you think a lot alike, we just differ just enough to make it interesting.

What many people call a bad history, or baggage, is really bad headlines. What the LSM is doing now, they did then. Many just didn’t realize how they twisted things.

You are entitled to your point of view. Just don’t be so surprised when people disagree with it. Sometimes it will be a little and sometimes a lot.

          • Anonymous

Let me ask you how you feel on abortion? What is worse to you, cheating or allowing your state to pay for abortion?

            • Anonymous

I am always on the side of life. You act as if I or the Mormon church runs the state. Get over yourself. Most informed Mormons are Pro Life of course. We as a people have to live with the laws as everyone ells does too. Cheating is in the Ten Commandments. I have always said I don’t understand cheating. People who cheat on one another do not have a good imagination. Cheating is coveting, and adultery. Abortion is Murder. I would even go as far as embolic research is bad as well. Once that egg spits it is a human being it is a life. Of course I don’t know what the churches view is on that I am not speaking for them. This is what “I” believe.

              • Anonymous

er- no I haven’t acted like I think the Mormom church runs anything. I was just curious. It seems people have been defending Romney by saying Newt is a cheater and therefore immoral. I just wanted to know as a Mormom what you thought was worse.

                • Anonymous

I didn’t know where you were going with that but now I do. You were trying to point out a hypocritical nature. So it is you that has the “agenda” against Mormons and was trying to catch me be hypocritical. Shame on you.

Ann Coulter is an establishment Republican. She doesn’t want Obama to be called a socialist, or the mainstream media to be slammed, because they are “real?” Whatever the hell that means. Basically, she wants a pc candidate that says all the right things to get the votes, and then stands up for principles once elected. No thanks, Ann! We want someone who says what they mean, and means what they say. Obama is a Socialist, and the wife question that led off the debate was a mainstream media smear attempt. Get a clue, and gain a few pounds!

Also, Brian and Coulter. Are we supposed to judge people based on hit jobs and lies? How about slander? It is also a lie. Is Ann actually syaing that these, oh so timely slanderous hitjobs, are supposed to work each and every time? Does she approve of what happened to Herman Cain? What a hypocrite’s hypocrite. Take a hike!

I saw this live and referred to it on the Newt victory speech thread. I wanted to throw up in Ann’s lap well before this piece it was finished. I have never purchased anything she has ever had for sale, and I won’t in the future. What a turncoat. What a flipflopper.

All I can say is one good flip-flopper deserves another. Whatever compensation she is or is expected to get from taking this position will be more than wiped out by her former fans turning against her. I supposed she fancies herself so much smarter than the rest of us. Well, guess what? You have proven otherwise.

She’s so taken aback that people didn’t take her advice. First she wanted Christie, now Romney, backed by Christie. Does she have her finger on the pulse of this conservative nation? Not even close! Nowhere near the ballpark even. So, Ann…phooey on youee. Now you can sell books to dingbats and middle of the roaders, and you can all get run over.

The problem is Ann Coulter and not the South Carolina voters. She does not take well her man Romney losing.

  • Anonymous

The thing I have always loved about Ann Coulter is how she uses sarcasm and biting wit to eviscerate liberals and Democrats. Nobody, and I mean nobody, does it better than Ann. And she has no sacred cows, either. When she went after that Democrat congressman or senator, I forget his name now, who used his war wounds to attack George W. Bush during the Cindy Sheehan “occupation” at Bush’s ranch it was just beautiful. She ripped him to shreds and proved he’d been lying about his injuries being combat related. When she went after “The Jersey Girls” in one of her books and derided them for using their husbands deaths as political fodder, I loved that too. She’s proved time and time again that liberals always use “absolute moral authority” as a weapon against any reasonable counter argument.

So to see her sit there and use liberal talking points to attack the voters of SC, the Tea Party, and Newt Gingrich made my skin crawl.

    What a f8cking hypocrite.

Regardless of her support for Romney, her point about socially conservative voters in SC giving Newt so many votes is valid. When considering the office that he is running for, character used to matter much more than it appears to now. The only real proving ground for character is the past. If you were going to decide to be a friend to Newt, then forgiveness is good, but where handing over the oval office is concerned, it should not be extended so easily, from a political point of view. Their are lasting consequences for bad behavior, and God doesn’t expect us to blindly let it go and set ourselves up for possibly being betrayed.

The argument for republicans accepting this with Newt, but slamming Clinton for his escapades is valid as well. Is the new social conservative movement to mimic the democrats in the 90s? If this is so, then that is proof positive that there is very little difference in the two parties.

Huge difference…conservatives believe in redemption, they believe in a second chance…

      • Anonymous

Are you saying that they believe in redemption for conservatives, but not liberals? If Clinton was running for president as a republican, and said that he had changed his ways, and talked a good talk, would you accept that?

These people want to run our country. They have the ability to wage war without congressional approval. They have the ability to sign treaties. Trust is an important factor. Would you put you kids in daycare with a known child abuser that said he had changed his ways, and became a Christian?

Conservatives used to at least pander to the idea that moral integrity mattered, and that a person’s past was important. I guess that is gone now that they are offering up a person with a really sorted personal and political past.

        • Anonymous

Clinton is a democrat..nuf said about that. Here is how I know Newt has changed..his daughters. My husband’s father cheated on his mother and then 2 more wives after that. He has not repented or even asked for forgiveness. My hubby has not spoken to his dad in over 15 years. Newt’s daughters support him and defend him…that says to me he has changed. I would not marry Newt, but I would support him for office.

          • Anonymous

So, republicans can be trusted after they do really bad things for thirty years, just so long as their daughters support them. Am I getting this right?

You wouldn’t marry him because you wouldn’t trust him, but you would vote for him. Correct?

This two party mentality is getting out of control.

            • Anonymous

I don’t want to have a beer with Obama and I don’t want to sleep with Newt. I want them to restore my country to its greatness again. That requires some cajones.

              • Anonymous

Why not you then? I would vote for you. Unless you are actually Hillary Clinton having fun on a political blog site.

Listen, Newt has asked for Forgiveness, that is enough for me. Obama has a perfect family life…how is that working out for all of us?? If you want to stand in judgment of him, then don’t vote for him. Good luck in finding the perfect man to nominate!

    • Amy

You know, I’m kind of getting tired of the divorce thing already. Ronald Reagan divorced his first wife and also had some questionable decisions in his past as Governor of California. He, however, turned out to be a galvanizing force for conservative principles. In today’s world, I wonder if Reagan could even get elected…

      Just my .02

    • Anonymous

A man falls out of love with his wife, meets another woman before he got divorced, marries that other woman after his divorce, and then asks forgiveness from the Lord for his actions.

Are you saying that is the same as a man having sex in the Oval Office, WHILE on the phone with a foreign dignitary and the only forgiveness he asks for is that he doesn’t know what the meaning if ‘is’ is?

      Come on. Get real.

      • Anonymous

Not that it really matters, but Newt was having an affair before he divorced, and was pushing to oust Clinton while he was doing it. I wanted Clinton out of office, but Newt wouldn’t go there. Serial hypocrisy is Newt’s past. He has flipped from liberal to conservative in the last ten years, I don’t know how many times. He has a thirty year record of supporting global warming and global treaties, and then flipping back to the other side.

Socially conservative Christians should be appalled at Newt’s history, and quit being so naive as to be willing to risk trusting him with the executive office. This isn’t a guy who wants to have dinner with us, he wants to be in a position of power that could effect the lives of hundreds of millions of people.

The bible doesn’t tell us to blindly trust people, just to forgive. I have no problem with people forgiving Newt for his past in politics, but it seems absolutely ridiculous that people want him back in power. There are 350 million people in the country. Why not pick another person?

        • Anonymous

Geez, I wonder who that might be????

          • Anonymous

How about anyone else who talks like Newt, but doesn’t have his history? Maybe one of those conservative professors that have never been active in politics. Maybe an unknown evangelical pastor who hasn’t been corrupted yet. There are lots of options, but he two parties only put up people who have been groomed for it in Washington D.C. or a governorship, or a corporate crony, or a career in law.

  • Anonymous

Here is one thing that I always say to newt-haters about his cheating on his wives..what is worse, cheating on a wife or allowing your state to pay for abortions? They never answer back. So give me a man that cheated on his wife anyday over a man that wrote Planned Parenthood into his Romneycare bill.

“Isaac Newton’s Third Law is familiar to most of us. Simply put: ” To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
This week Newt Gingrich showed that the laws of motion are equally applicable to media manipulation to favor Obama or any other Democrat candidate for office. Push him and he’ll push right back.
The hint that public sentiment was shifting away from reliance on big government (and those that promoted it) came earlier in the week when Gallup produced a poll showing that American’s “satisfaction with the size and power of the federal government is at a record low 29%.”

    http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/01/newts_third_law.html#ixzz1kEDU7hQY

Conservatives can hear the difference in Newt’s heart.

They can also identify with his anger at the liberal media.

They are sick of all the corruption, lies and nonsense being shoved down their throats by the elite bullies in power.

Obama and Holder don’t realize they are over-playing their hand.

Clinton told them not to estrange the electorate…but unfortunately, that’s their only choice. It’s the only way tyrants and crooks can win.

Republican, or democrat, I have seen too many of them blatantly fool people with “conviction”. I think that many of them probably wanted to be actors, and decided to hone their skills in politics. The problem is, they never go to Hollywood.

Remember Boehner’s speeches before he became speaker? See how that works? When he was made speaker, he really put on the mushy crap. You have to be one of the best actors in politics to make it to speaker.

Coulter needs to just shut up and go away. She’s shown herself to be nothing more than a RINO, herself, supporting social and political liberalism in the form of candidates that champion that crap. She’s nothing, now, but an establishment-touting RINO that has become an embarrassment to the Conservative Movement. If I had a radio show, should would not be invited on, and if she’d been there, before, she probably wouldn’t be invited back, unless its clearly framed that she is not a Conservative. If you need someone to champion that worst and most base aspects of the political establishment, if you need someone that is not a Conservative but falsely shouts from the rooftops that they are, Ann Coulter’s for you. If you want someone that can’t open her mouth without alienating and insulting True Conservatives, condescending to millions with the best of the liberals that she seems to have a lot in common with, she’s your huckleberry.

I have never liked Ann Coulter. I just don’t, though I have tried. I got ripped into over at Hillbuzz just by saying I didn’t like her. Can you say “tar n feathas”?

My honest opinion is that Ann Coulter got famous simply by saying outrageous things. If Coulter had said outrageous things that *were funny*, she’d be Joan Rivers. But that spot was already taken.

Ann Coulter is no smarter than anyone else, as evidenced by her “Mitt’s a loser” … “I want to have Chris Christie’s baby”… “I love Mitt and You’re all Stupid” journey. Nobody needs to waste time listening to Ann Coulter because the everyday American is just as smart – if not smarter – than she is. :)

I fully expect that very soon Coulter will “come out” and announce she is a full-on liberal who has just been yanking everyone’s chain for years.

To answer your question on whether or not the link to the article on the Whitehorse Prophecy is allowed, the answer is that links to articles or sites that are relevant to the conversation are allowed, advertising or spamming commercial links are not.

As to “whitehorse”, well it is dodgy a best, considering the person who put it forward originally, conveniently waited until after Smith had died to attribute it to him and make it “public”.

ATLANTA (AP) – A judge has ordered President Barack Obama to appear in court in Atlanta for a hearing on a complaint that says Obama isn’t a natural-born citizen and can’t be president.

It’s one of many such lawsuits that have been filed across the country, so far without success. A Georgia resident made the complaint, which is intended to keep Obama’s name off the state’s ballot in the March presidential primary.

An Obama campaign aide says any attempt to involve the president personally will fail and such complaints around the country have no merit.

The hearing is set for Thursday before an administrative judge. Deputy Chief Judge Michael Malihi on Friday denied a motion by the president’s lawyer to quash a subpoena that requires Obama to show up.

I saw a picture today that had Newt dressed as Isaac ‘Newt’on (hair and everything) with the caption:

“For every Obama action there will be an equal and opposite reaction…and that’s just my first day in office.” Oooh, here it is: http://www.thepeoplescube.com/peoples-blog/newton-s-law-t8323.html

Newton is a transplant to Georgia, born and raised a good part of his life in Harrisburg, PA. Ron Paul and Santorum also from PA.
          I like Newton’s wit.

Horrors, the GOP decided the votes of the TP weren’t good enough for them, they threw them away for the “republican” votes. You know what they say; You can fool some of the people some of the time, but eventually it’s going to catch up with you. Bye bye dug in republicans, we hardly knew ya, in fact, we are just finding out who you really are. Thanks Anne.

I used to think she was the ‘Real Deal’, but not anymore. She has flipped to the establishment. I don’t like what Newt has done in the past, but for the Grace of God, there go I. If Christ resisted forgiving the way we mere humans do, then we’d all be lost. Newt Can beat Obama, and he needs too keep going strong. God loves him just as he does Romeny.

She sounds like Peter Jennings whining about the republicans taking over congress in in 1994, accusing the American people of throwing a temper tantrum. Can you say sour grapes? She seems to be taking it rather personally.

I’ve about had it with the South taking hits from people who have no idea what’s in our hearts. I’ve had it. We are the most hated and most profiled of any group in the United States, and she came damn near to saying we are a bunch of backwoods hicks that don’t know better. I have purchased everyone of her books, and my last, will be just that, my last. This is the Bible belt here in the South. It is the Mormon teachings that Christ is Satan’s brother, and that God, choosing Christ over Satan to die for our sins, enrage Satan and he defied God and was there fore cast out of heaven, and this is a direct insult to Christ and Christianity. With that said, I don’t support Romney because he is just to much like the damn Liberals who are ruining this Nation. He is a liar, unapologetic for the over taxing and failure of Romney care. He just recently said that Obama is turning around the economy. He has stated that his policies are similar to those of Obama. Newt is three fold the conservative Romney is and that’s a fact. And it was Romney who made the first snotty attack on Newt’s personal life another over looked truth that this broad seemed to care not of…
Now Ms Coulter, kiss my redneck Southern pearly white Buttoonies!

      Jeff,
This is the second War of Northern Aggression. This time it comes in the form of Godless liberal/moderate elites. What’s with these idiots? The liberals were the cause that gave birth to the Modern Conservative Republican movement in the South. Why do they insist on biting the hand that feeds them?

A couple of references to compare Mormonism to Christianity:

      Comparison: http://irr.org/mit/is-mormonism-christian.html

Right after you complain about the South being the most “hated and profiled of any group in the United States”, you launch into a hate filled rant against Mormons, and then judge Romney to be a “liar”. The old adage about not throwing stones from glass houses comes to mind…

You really hate it when others judge you without any idea of what’s in your heart. But do you know the hearts of those you judge? Calling yourself “Christian” does not give you the right to be the judge of the living and the dead. Only Christ has that authority. Your attempt to turn Christianity into a private club with a sign on the door that says “No Mormons Allowed” is neither Biblical nor Christian. Why such bigotry against those who want to join with you in fighting against the destruction of our country and our freedoms?

  • StNikao

Newt was on Meet the Press today and did an awesome job. I felt great, encouraged, hopeful.

Then they had Chris Christie on next so he could root for Mitt and tell us what an embarrassment Newt was for the party in the past and that he simply could not be elected…and how wonderful Romney is. They are fighting tooth and toenail for Romney.

Somehow, Romney can’t convince anyone himself so they have to have surrogates to rave about him. Despite his ads, good looks, his photo-perfect life, etc. In person, he’s not convincing – he does not come across as sincere or honest.

Another good article about Newt today:
      http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/morning-jay-newt-gingrich-and-politics-frustration_617472.html

“Conservatives are very frustrated, and rightfully so. Their feeling is that they play by the rules – they work hard, pay their taxes, raise their kids right – but what do they get for it? Their values are mocked on television and the movies, the media castigates them as a bunch of extremists, they pay taxes while half of the country does not, and the Obama administration took to demagouging them virtually from day one of his tenure. I know of what I speak – a few months back I was driving down the road and saw a sign in front of a business lamenting, “Where is the America I grew up in?” I nodded my head in approval.
Enter Newt Gingrich, the person on the debate stage who finally speaks truth to power. ‘Not so fast, John King!’ ‘Hold it just a damned minute, Diane Sawyer!’ ‘How dare you talk to me like that, Brian Williams!’ These are the sorts of thoughts that millions of conservatives have every week. And now here is Newt Gingrich actually saying it right to them. Never mind the fact that he is expressing indignation at liberals while sometimes offering not-so-conservative policies, or using it as a form of misdirection to turn attention away from his own questionable deeds. Conservatives everywhere love to hear somebody finally stick it to the elites.

This explains why they are excited about the prospect of an Obama-Gingrich debate. They love the thought of someone finally standing in front of Obama and saying, “How dare you, sir!”

YEP – you got that right.

The establishment expects that the conservatives will fall into line like sheep as they have no other choice. THINK AGAIN!!! I absolutelyfrigginguaranty that we will stay at home on election day as the only vote is liberal and more liberal. The establishment can go to hell.

        • Amy

Not sure I’d stay home but I will be very tempted to write in my candidate of choice. Which, incidentally isn’t any of the four still left…

          • Anonymous

If this all goes sour and Romney is the man of choice, with the internet and blog sites there will still be plenty of time to organize a 3rd party protest vote of substance.

This may well be the reason Obama wants to be able to shut down the internet at a moments notice.

        • Anonymous

          protest vote?

        • Anonymous

Which “establishment” are you talking about? The Democratic establishment hopes you’ll stay home on election day. I’m certain they’re thrilled you want to cooperate. We’ll see.

    • Anonymous

Ya, saw the same show. Then he had Paul on and confirmed (?) that Paul has the backing of the military. I was surprised that Huck would do that, seeing how easy it is for me to donate and claim I was in the military. strange.

I noticed that on tonight’s show. He made a statement to Santorum, that ‘those people’ who suggest that Rick step down should just ‘shut up’. He was, of course, implying Newt, but didn’t say it.

He had Mitt on first, Rick on next and Ron last. He made a statement about Newt not being able to come on, but that’s not usually Huckabees style to showcase only three of the four. I don’t know.

It left a bad taste in my mouth, and I usually like what Huckabee does.

Romney came off as petulant, bitter, entitled and whiny. Such a glassjaw.

I’m pretty sure I could rip right through those inane asinine talking points of his.

Newt is probably just going to say there he goes again, he’s desperate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHapuEmt2xw

I hope Newt’s people are paying attention to Romney on the talking head shows today attacking him because Romney is going to try and prove he’s not a timid milquetoast and attack attack attack at thetwo debates if he ever did commit to them. Newt better be prepared to answer though after he makes the crowd laugh with the desperate line.

            • Anonymous

I find it interesting that a lot of pundits, and the talking points, say that Newt was just yelling and ranting at King during that last debate, and never answered the question. That is just wrong. After he railed on the LSM, took his applause, railed again, and finally let the crowd die down, then he answered the question. So, I don’t know where they are coming from with that. I’ve never heard him not answer a question.

Have you noticed since she started backing RINO ROMNEY,she’s well behaved and doesn’t annoy the heck out of liberals anymore, she’s been writing really tame, conformist stories, she’s NO CONSERVATIVE ANYMORE!

    • Anonymous

Who are these “GOP ELITES” that everyone keeps talking about? It seems to be a circular argument. Someone claims that the establishment elites want Romney to win, so now anyone who comes out for Romney is one of “them”. Rush Limbaugh makes the same nebulous argument and rails against some unnamed “Republican establishment”. Yet he calls himself the “titular head” of the Republican Party. So, wouldn’t that make Rush one of the establishment elites? I’m sure Newt has long considered himself one of the elites. So why wouldn’t the other elites want a long-time Washington insider like Newt to win?

And who are these RINO’s everyone keeps talking about? What makes Romney a RINO and Newt a conservative? Newt has been on the same side with Romney on every issue that makes him a RINO. Newt has been a long time supporter of healthcare mandates, not just at the state lever, but on a federal level. Newt has been a big time supporter of global warming issues and ethanol subsidies. Newt has even supported big time abortion advocates, like Dede Scozzafava. The list goes on and on.

Newt has also done a lot of good things in his political career, like balancing the budget while Speaker and welfare reform. But Romney has also done a lot of good things. Whoever wins the nomination, I will support against Obama. But this circular firing squad that Republicans seem so happy to participate in is going to leave our eventual nominee wounded and lame just as we need him to do battle against a rested Obama.

      • Anonymous

Which team is better prepared for the Superbowl? The wild card team that fights its way all the way to the top, or the favored team that sits out the entire playoffs till the big day?

Obama can sit on his laurels all he wants. Whoever gets there on the R side will be battle tested and ready to fight. If Romney takes it in Florida and then coasts till Nov, he may well lose to O. But if he is tested all along the way, the skeletons will have been well vetted out of the closet and the best man will win.

I seriously cannnot see Obama winning on his record. He will have to win with deceit, lies, corruption and trickery. We will not let that happen. So help me, God.

        • Anonymous

The tested team is better prepared, unless during the fight key players are injured and can’t play 100% in the final game. Then the rested team is at an advantage. I want our players tested and prepared, but not to the extent that we injure them with unproven rumors and innuendos. For example, when our side belittles our own candidates for being too rich or too capitalist or too immoral, how do we then defend them against the same attacks from the left later on?

In my adult life time, Democrats have never won an election without deceit and lies. When they tell us what they really plan to do, like Mondale admitting that he was going to raise taxes, they lose in a landslide.

          • Anonymous

…how do we then defend them against the same attacks from the left later on?‘ — PL

You defend them the way Newt did, not with a whimper but with a bang. If Newt is the candidate, do you really think the LSM or Libs will have the guts to attempt the ex-wife routine again. Declawed.

If Romney is the candidate, don’t you think it will be because he weathered the Bain Capital assault? Another tool taken away. And so it goes.

            • Anonymous

I agree with you to a point. Our nominee should be better able to defend himself against specific attacks because of the current vetting process (unless they end up mortally wounded like Herman Cain.) But how do you defend yourself against general demonizing? Even commenters here attack Romney for being rich. Obama’s supporters (i.e.the media) will attack him non-stop for being one of the “evil” one-percent. And they will quote Republicans who are currently saying the same thing.

Newt can defend himself well against attacks to his face. But what will he do when the NY Times and others publish stories behind his back and don’t give him a chance to respond? The Obama cheerleaders, who are our media today, will dig up every negative story ever written about Newt and attack him from all sides. He won’t have the chance to respond to all of them. Then consider that it’s not easy for conservatives to defend someone who’s cheated on his wives and still claim you’re for “Family Values”. So, if you think the media are “declawed”, you haven’t seen nothing yet.

      • Anonymous

It is not a circular firing squad. It is a purge.

I do not describe the majority of the Republican politicians as RINOs because they are simply big government Progressives. The worst of course are people like McCain, Graham, Boehner, Scott Brown, Snowe, Cantor etc. The Republicans have been on a 20+ year path of growing government, deficit spending, increasing regulations and trampling the Constitution.

There are a few limited government, Constitutional conservatives like Bachmann and West but they are only measured in a dozen or so.

The Republicans have sold us out. The Dems are laser focused on driving America to an oligarchy of collectivism marxism. The Republicans are complicit. They were supposed to fight and drag us back to a Republic without compromise. They have failed miserably.

Our generation is poised to go down as the one that lost America. If the Republican leadership and most of its elected Congressmen can be replaced starting in 2012, we may have a chance to save her.

        • Anonymous

You don’t include Newt in your list of big government Progressives. Don’t you think there is plenty of evidence from his past comments and speeches that he thinks he can solve all our problems with the power of big government, just like his heroes Teddy, Woodrow, and FDR – as long as he is the one at the helm?

But I do agree with you that putting more Tea Party type conservatives in Congress in 2012 is our best chance to save America. It may be more important than who we elect as President.

          • http://www.facebook.com/david.masiwchuk David Scott Masiwchuk

Like Beck you miss the mark. He stated Wilson’s speeches were effective…Seeing as the man was President and set forward the progressive movement I would say he was right. He said Teddy Roosevelt hard a charismatic way about him…….That was true as well. So the way I see it only Beck gets to tell others about history? Or that any truth about the ones Beck and you hate that doesn’t fit means the speaker is a evil progressive?

You might want to look up the word Hypocrisy.

            • Anonymous

Ok, I looked up the word hypocrite: “a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings.” That sounds like a conservative who rails against McCain for crossing the aisle to work will Democrats and then votes for Gingrich who made a commercial for Al Gore while sitting on the couch with Nancy Pelosi. Is that the type of hypocrisy you are talking about?

How does pointing out that Newt’s favorite Presidents were almost all big government Progressives make me a hypocrite? I don’t get it. I hope you’re right, that it was all innocent fun. But don’t expect me to wear blinders like you and ignore the obvious. That’s how Obama got elected.

Clintonites: That’s it! That SOB played the race card last election.

Reagan Democrats and Clinton Democrats = blowout for the GOP.

Most conservatives don’t give a shit about you anymore, Ann. You railed for Christie saying that Mitt Romney would lose to Obama, now you say everyone else will lose to Obama if their name isn’t Mitt. You’re an idiot. Get lost.

If she tossed her hair and bobbed her head one more time I might have been more convinced.
I am so sick of the refrences to Newt being divorced. Is this Ozzie and Harriet or Leave it to Beaver fantasy land?? Reagan was divorced, Rush Limbaugh was divorced. The holier than though D-BAG Blenn Beck was divorced. Here’s a clue, I DON’T CARE if our preisdent was divorced. JFK was not divorced and he was screwing communist and mafia whores in the W.H., Bill Clinton (never divorced) was doing interesting things with cigars in the oval office. God knows what obama and Reggie Love are doing, I don’t think I wanna know actually.
Newt is not running to be Husband in Chief. I like his ability to communicate and his excellent plans to fix the sorry place our country is in. The crap about Newt being ‘run out of office’ in the late 90’s is a badge of honor in my book. Because ever since Newt left Congress, they have ALL royally sucked in Congress. Way to spend and grow Govt, REPUBLICANS (especially you Santorum). How’d the Bush years work out for us???
Anyway, to suggest Romney is ‘more conservative’ than Newt is right out of Bizzaro World. There’s officially 2 people that believe that, Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck. Those 2 may call themselves conservative, but there politcal sense is quite vacant.

Scoop you hit a winner with this offering on a Sunday in the US. I can’t believe how much pleasure reading these responses has been for me and the Mrs. on a rainy day in the Socialist Republic of California. Thank you.

I been watching Blaze all day and they still haven’t put this one up even though this story running everywhere else…

BLAZE’s censorship by omission? Fear of ginning up interest in Newt? Hear of FOX reprisal? Fear of GB reprisal? I don’t know, but as far as I am concerned SCOOPS’s #1! Go ahead. Make my day!

    • Anonymous

I’ve been noticing that about the Blaze. It’s not only censorship by omission, but also by position. The SC win by Newt dropped rather quickly in the front page list of stories, while a couple of anti-Newt stories stayed up to the top end until some other anti-Newt stories came in. It’s little things but noticable.

A lot of GOOD comedy on here tonight.
NEWT has set us free to be funny and as smart as he is…we wish.

What is this GRANDiosity thing going on with Mark Levin?

He decided to kind of rant on NEWT Friday night, after Rick Santrum set up NEWT with the word in debate that NEWT was GRANDios.

Then NEWT decided to brag on being GRANDious, and what it can be meant and be.

Well I looked it up, thinking it meant POMPOUS and NEWT certainly can be , and it mean a lot of differernt things.

RUSH sort of set the standard for me Friday on his show, so he is at odds with Levin (and his narrow definition and how it relates to his new book) and may not even know it.

Words were used all weekend after the debates, and seems to be something that will stick on NEWT. Expect it to turn up on blogs a lot….meaning pompous of course and BIG CRAZY IDEA PERSON who may be even BI-POLAR, and it goes on and on, but it is thinking LARGE and even exagerated.

See MARK went off on (NEWT or) the word GRANDiousity as big government politician (I guess progressive but we can say Libereral Democrat, I call them Commie Marxist but I digress) would be and it means using GOV to take over and ever expanding and telling everyone what to do and be equal. Mark was talking about like the green energy BIG IDEA where the idea can be good, but the tech is not there yet, but the Government decides to spend with OUR money we have to pay back (MASSIVE debt 16 trillion) and of course massive payoff to UNIONS out of control wages, Crony Capitalism (see GM now) etc. Money comes back to feed Democratic machine, so GOV in power can keep themselves in.

    OBAME is almost there !!!!!

Gee Mark, I like RUSH’s better, and probably NEWT’s, where Government does “spark” the project (too big of an idea for normal capitalist to fund, say the East to West Trans-Continental Railroad).

Think of it Gov can risk (progressive, make progress) big ideas (good ones, not current Progressives who are nothing but Academic nuts) and print the money (digitally) and say sponsor DEFENSE (NASA) or Skunk Works whaever, and the USA can prosper from the technology breakthroughs,

Satalites, Apollo Moon Missions, Computer chips, INTERNET, plastics, on and on.

See, the big government Progressive Libs like OBAMA want FOOD STAMPS and to re-distribute the wealth with higher taxes for rich which stifles the economy, to where no one gets work..WE ARE THERE NOW FOLKS.
Where the elite tell us what we can make, eat, drive, EVERYTHING.

Pompous Elites who think they know what is best for us all and do not like the CONSTITUTION (think it is old obsolete documets we should work around, or evolve with Judicial rulings, OBAMACARE) because it tells us what the GOV can not do to its people.
They want to get around it by Executive Presidential powers alone.

The Smaller Smart Government Progressive Republicans want us all working, inventing things, creating, having BIG IDEAS.

Want Constitution to be followed and changed if necessary with everyone in agreement with Constitutional Amendment.

WE have to have Declaration of Independence and the Constitution RESTORED to promenence.

GRANDious NEWT ideas. FEEDOM, LIBERTY and to follow the Founding Fathers.

If NEWT veers from that, it is up to us to rein him in, if he is the kind of PROGRESSIVE GENNY BECK assigns to anyone he wants to demonize.

Annie is losing me. She loved Christie, now she hates Gingrich. RINO?

I was all high and might about Newt until I rethought my position. The open marriage request (if true) was years ago. Since then, he has apparently had a change of heart, might be more open to godly correction/wisdom, and has engaged in a Catholic marriage, of which I believe the priests still require sexual fidelity.

I have done some terrible things and have had a change brought about by God, so I must extend the same courtesy to Newt that I would like extended to me, that is, a release from my old ways that I am not doing any more!!!

When it comes to snotty remarks Coulter is the champ so I guess she’d know. She should stick to spewing her bile on the libtards instead of fellow conservatives.

  • Trust1TG

Mr. BAIN, uh, Romney, has decided to grace the debate tonight in Tampa.

Guess he’s rehearsed his sound bites and has his game on again.

Here’s his game (starting every sentence with And By The Way):

    1. “ABTW, I spent my life in business, saved the Olympics, started Staples, Sports Authority, created thousands of jobs…”
(won’t say if his company ever intentionally came in, cut jobs, ran up debt, and drained the pension funds, cheating employees out of their retirement funds in order to maximize Bain’s profits. Therein lies the story and the difference between Principled Capitalism and Corrupt Capitalism. To deny and defend this is evil. )

    2. “ABTW, Character counts, I have only had one wife, never cheated on her, never drunk coffee, tea or alcohol, smoked, done drugs, or said a bad word.”
(won’t mention his support for gay marriage and abortion, appointments of radical judges or the bizarre beliefs held by Mormons. He won’t mention that his ambition to be president likely has something to do with his biological father and spiritual father (Joseph Smith’s) failed presidential candidacies or that Joseph Smith was jailed for his spiritual and dishonest business practices in two failed banks.)

    3. “ABTW, I am the most conservative candidate.”
(won’t mention his left of Kennedy liberal policies, support for bailouts, global warming theory, etc.)

If that’s all he has to say, he might as well not show up; just send a pre-recorded tape and a life-sized smiling cut-out.

In 2008, Romney talked about radical Islam; this time around, he has been quiet about that. He has also been reluctant to call Obama a socialist.

Tonight, he and Santorum will probably go on the attack, and start naming Newt’s historical sins…which Newt will explain and with his answers, add visions for freeing the US from corruption, radicalism and liberal coercion, that will turn each of their attempts into home run after home run and have the audience standing, whistling and cheering again. (unless NBC decides to muzzle them or limit the audience to SFL zombies, frowning DNC liberals and Hispanic and Arab illegal aliens who don’t understand English.)

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mike-Florey/100002838321254 Mike Florey

“He has also been reluctant to call Obama a socialist.”
I respectfully disagree. He has not been reluctant. He has been AFRAID to call Obama a socialist, simply because they share too many policies. Obamneycare being the most glaring.

    • StNikao

THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW – against corporate investors and executives being able to grab pensions of their workers under any circumstances, especially to give themselves bonuses on the way out.

NEWT needs to explain moving Social Security funds into the general budget to make it look as though the budget was balanced and enable the politicians to raid those funds.

      That’s the same thing.

Workers’ pension funds should be guarded with gold and platinum, and federal guarantees – safe from greedy political and business types.

If Newt admits he was wrong, we can forgive him – IF – he promises to restore soundness to SS for the elderly who are currently on it.

That is the only way his base, seniors and retirees, will really trust him.

Retirees in FL will be asking and listening for his response on this.

Isn’t that what Ann Cut um up Coulter does all the time. She is the the worlds leader in snooty remarks. As for myself I use to admire and respect Anne but I think she has become out of touch with the conservatives for the past few years. It could be a change in life. I have no idea. The Webster definition of Ann Coulter = Grossly Over Opinionated. Im my opinion.

  • StNikao

Read, mark and inwardly digest, Ms. Coulter:

“Yet the elites ignored the roar. After all, the roar came from the unwashed. It came from the fans of cockfights. It came from tea party folks and other such rabble. Inside the sterile cable studios and on their laptops, the pundits scored their debate and their election prospects without the roar. They have their little formulas about who has to raise doubts here and who has to score points there.

“What they don’t understand is what the roar means.

“The roar is passion. The roar is intensity. The roar is pent up frustration (aka rage). The roar, put another way, is the national mood of conservatives. It is a roar that will demand a fighter. It will demand that those who want our votes must not cower in the face of the liberal template. If fact, it is a roar that demands that we do not accept any liberal templates.

“That’s why Newt has gotten all the roars, and why he has vaulted into serious contention only days after being written off.”

I don’t know about you but I have thoroughly enjoyed watching all the “establishment” and Romney supporter’s heads explode all weekend. Makes me want to vote for Newt all the more. Why is Newt soaring again? Because he has captured the anger out there that is very real and the Establishment just doesn’t get it. I have never in my lifetime been so financially insecure because of what those same Establishment types did to our Country. Obviously Newt isn’t perfect, but he really is the only one during interviews, speeches or the debates where I have cheered outloud. And without the base energized we are lost.

Does Ann Coulter really have an Adam’s Apple? Maybe she should come out of her shell.

This was the best bit I have seen recently by a “conservative” promoting the current denizen of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

The married women and evangelicals are presumably christian. One of the tenets of Christianity is forgiveness. I guess the rockefeller republicrats, the rinos and Ms. Coulter cannot embrace the idea of forgiveness which many others have.

Hopefully the “soul” of the gop is being wrested away by true conservatives.

Oh, and independents? Aren’t the independents to which Ms. Coulter refers a major part of the Tea Party? Hmmm? How out of touch with America is she?

They (the establishment types) are getting a taste of the unbelievable disappointment the rest of America has been feeling for 3.5 years now. Get over it, Ann. You just need to suck it up, embrace the suck, and vote for the only candidate who can beat Maobama. That would be Newt.

  • Anonymous

Wow, I just saw this. Then, I began reading the comments. It’s as if nobody on here heard anything she said. I don’t support Romney, but Newt is just as much of a hack. Conservatives are just like Liberals now. Follow the Leader.

    • Amy

If we were following the leader we would all be voting Romney.

      • Anonymous

No you wouldn’t. This is the anti-Romney blog.

        • Amy

Ah… you figured us out / sarc off

If you don’t support Romney, and you think Newt is a hack then who’s your choice? Santorum? Big gov conservative as well. Paul? or maybe Obama is more your style?

This isn’t a election where any of the top three are small government conservatives. It’s now a personality choice. The people of SC chose Newt. The people of IA chose Santorum. The people of NH chose Romney. It’s still a long, long road ahead.

Right now, there are a lot of people sick and tired of being told that it’s Romney’s turn and we should just get in line and vote for him. Some of these people were already on record as saying Romney can’t win – Coulter being one of those people.

          • Anonymous

Amy, in his heart of hearts he likes Maobama.

          • Anonymous

Amy, my point is that Conservatives used to be a pretty logical group of people. Liberals were always the ones who decide everything out of emotion. I’m not an Ann Coulter fan. I never have been. She has one of the most grating voices in media. However, she made some legitimate points about Newt and the South Carolina voters, that nobody on here is even willing to listen to because y’all hate Romney so much.
Who I’m voting for is not really my issue here, but since you asked, I’ll tell you. I had narrowed my choices down to Herman Cain, Michelle Bachman, and Ron Paul. When Cain and Bachman dropped out, they made my decision for me. Four years ago, I had never heard of Ron Paul. I supported Huckabee, because he was our governor, and he seemed to be the most conservative based on what I knew. When Obama got elected, I was in disbelief that someone who hates America and that most of us had never even heard of, was now the president. I started really trying to inform myself. I started reading more and became a talk radio junkie. I realized how far we actually are from the constitutional republic we began as. I realized(or decided)that I was a constitutionalist, not a conservative. I hate, despise, and abhor Islam and everything it stands for, and I don’t agree with Ron Paul that they hate us for being in there country. But he is so superior on every other issue than the three fakes he’s running against, that I have no choice but to vote for him. I think the idea that Iran is building a nuclear missile to blow up America has been so sensationalized that none of us know what’s really going on. If I thought they were, I obviously would want them destroyed. So would Ron Paul. He wants a strong defense. He just doesn’t want to waste money on offense when it’s not absolutely needed. He only wants wars that are legally declared by congress. Then go in and destroy the enemy and come home. I’m not a Paulbot(whatever that means) and the only medicine I take is for blood pressure.

        • Anonymous

Well, if Romney wasn’t a NE liberal maybe we wouldn’t hate his phony backside.

  • Anonymous

I believe the only reason she is in the Massachusetts Moderate’s camp is because Romney has already picked his V.P. The name happens to be Christie and she is so in love with this guy she can’t see straight any more. She is willing to compromise her conservative principles and jump into the Romney camp for this guy and that really dissapoints me and turns me off on her. A brilliant lady gone stupid over Christie. However what the country is realizing is that if Romney was a true conservative, he could not have been elected to a Dog Catcher’s job in liberal Taxachusetts, never mind govenor. We ain’t buying his flip-flopping lies anymore. I really wish she would come to her senses and quit compromising her core beliefs. That is what democrats do, not true conservatives.

To PapaLouie (sorry, Disqus got me again) :

I think everybody has to realize this is going to be an election cycle like no other. Many of us already do. If we just sit back and play nice, we will lose. The left is going to demonize our side like never before. There will be more mud slung than we have ever seen. There’s no stopping that. We need to counter it at every turn.

How do we counter it? With truth. All candidates have baggage. And if they don’t, the left will make some up. We can’t hide in the closet and hope the boogieman goes away. Let’s pull up all of Newt’s old baggage and analyze it. I already did. There are some astounding facts there that counter the rumors.

I say we can ‘declaw’ the media. I saw how they reacted to Newt’s attack on John King. Even now, they are trying to spin it as if he pulled the proverbial pin on the handgrenade. They were shocked that they didn’t get away with what they thought was a beautiful piece of work of drive-by shooting. Unfortunately for them, the bullet when through their own foot.

It’s going to be a long haul this year, but we will come out the other side being better for it. I, for one, welcome the challenge. To the Obama cheerleaders I say, Bring It.

It sounds like a debate here on The Right Scoop among it’s subscribers…..

Newts daughters also wrote to ABC about the Brian Ross interview with their mother and said it was a mean and nasty move right before a primary, which Gingrich won anyway. We need this man to bring back our country into prosperity. Look at Iraq when the troops were brought home, the Iranians will take over and the violence has started again and is worsening. We can all blame Obama for that and all the soldiers lost or maimed was all in vain.

However, I will vote for anyone who runs against the Obama regime.
I just wish that the candidates would stop slamming each other and focus on the multitude of failures by Obama, he has ruined US and we are on the brink of bankruptcy.
