Whatever you might think of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, the guy is pretty dead on correct about the appropriateness of protests during the singing of the National Anthem at NFL games.

Very simple. He doesn’t even deny people the right to protest, or whether it’s right to protest, he just says that it seems inappropriate to do so during that time, when people are standing together to honor the flag and the good things it represents.
You should be able to do that, even if you think there are bad things being done in the name of our country. It’s a lesson for all of life – do you obsess over the worst aspects of anything, or look to the good? I can tell you which you are based on whether you’re generally happy, or generally miserable and need to spread that misery…
