In an amazing moment on Friday during a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing, Democrat Eleanor Norton bleated out at Republicans that they were not entitled to know everything that’s going on in the government. The quote came while congresspersons were trying to find out if the government Office of Political Strategy and Outreach was used for campaigning purposes, which would be against the law.

While there are certainly aspects of the Executive branch that are excused from having to be divulged to Congress, you simply can’t cite that as a magic wand to wish away accusations of wrongdoing.
