Detroit Police Chief: We need to talk about fatal shootings of police officers who serve our communities

Last week The Daily Show was trying to suggest a pattern of police violence against black teens and lumped in one that caused the DA of San Bernardino County to post a video message to Stewart, slamming him for including Dante Parker who wasn’t shot but was instead tasered and telling him that the focus should be on officers who put their lives at risk to protect and serve. The Daily Show says there will be an on-air apology tonight but they believe their larger point still stands.

Fox and Friends had on Detroit Police Chief James Craig who agrees with the DA, arguing the narrative needs to expand to include officers who are shot while serving our communities. He also adds that while Jon Stewart is a comedian, he finds nothing funny about any of this.
