Dick Cheney was on Face the Nation this morning to talk about Ukraine, why it’s happening and what can be done about it. He points out, to no big surprise, that Putin sees Obama as weak and gave several examples as to why. He also explains our response to the invasion of Georgia back in 2008 and laid out some ideas he has for a response now. When asked how much confrontation we are willing to get in with the Russians over Crimea, Cheney said the real question should be is are we willing to allow Putin to disregard commitments that were made in the 90s that led millions of free people after the Soviet Union collapsed.
