Thomas Sowell put out a great article today showing the difference between individual issues in this election and the true future of America.

This is an excellent article - one that explains, in plain language, why we must defeat Obama, at all costs. We should all heed the warning.

OT- Obama visited Ohio State again today. When he came two years ago campus basically came to a stop due to people going to see him and it was nearly impossible walk across campus in less than 45-60min (usually takes about 20). Today though the difference amazed me, most students seemed to not know or at least not care that he was here and the overwhelming majority of people talking about it were complaining about him blocking traffic. As a friend of mine put on facebook: "dude obama go home no one likes you"
Gotta have at lease one of each. The Garfield comic strip nailed cats - they're way understated, so many people fail to connect with 'em.

Speaking of nailing cats--this guy knows cats. I'm posting my favorite, but if you go to "films" they're all great! Also a couple of books that are hysterical.
Open thread. Does anyone know the results of the O'Reilly poll asking "Would it be better for the country if a third political party rises up?" He said last Friday (or Thur.) that he'd give the result on Monday. I missed last night's show and the results aren't posted on his website either.
Hey WW09. I really don't know the answer to your question. But, if we're speaking of third parties, then this interview showcases one of its most prodigious and articulate proponents at his best.
The clip is part 1 of 2 and I'd recommend watching the second clip also, which should come up automatically after the first clip is done as it is part of a youtube playlist.
I also recommend starting your viewing of clip 1 at 01:40 minutes and cease it at 26: 59 mins, as that is where the action really commences and ends.
You may ultimately disagree with the content but I thought you might nonetheless like to have a look.

This is amazing; my brother and one of my sisters were born with arthrogryposis. They had many corrective surgeries to make them relatively ambulatory but my brother has severe scoliosis now at age 61 and losing his mobility and health. Not enough lung capacity for anesthesia now.
I've imagined a fix something like this and have done a lot of Google searches but never came up with this. Thanks, JoPA.
These are always sweet.
I grew up with dogs around the house and now have cats (one of them thinks she's a dog). Dogs have so many "human" qualities and are usually loyal to a fault. These videos warm my heart.

I'm not sure which one gets my eyes watering more ... the unconditional love of a dog or the sight of a service member coming home from overseas.
We watch this and our eyes start watering. Obama watches this and his mouth starts watering.
Okay... that was so wrong... but so brilliant!!! I'm ashamed that I laughed at that.
