Of all the absurd, dishonest attacks that Trump has unloaded on Cruz, this has to be up there among the most dishonest. Trump has now figured out a way in his twisted mind to blame Ted Cruz for giving us Obamacare:
So Ted gave us Justice Roberts? He wasn’t even a Senator back then. Heck, he wasn’t even a Senator when Obamacare was rammed down our throats.
Trumpertantrum has clearly lost it.
It’s also quite ironic that Trump would actually say “what I hate, what I hate is when somebody lies” directly after he lies about Ted Cruz saying he gave us Obamacare.
His beef with Cruz on this is that Cruz said the other day that a vote for Trump is a vote for Obamacare, which is basically true. Here’s what Cruz said about it:
A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for Obamacare…
Donald Trump right now as a candidate is advocating full-on expanding Obamacare to make it socialized medicine. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders have the identical position on health care, which is they want to put the government in charge of you and your doctor.
Cruz is right. Just listen to the first couple of minutes from Trump’s interview on 60 Minutes just a few months ago where he advocated UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE that he admitted was a very un-Republican thing for him to support:
So he’s going to repeal and replace Obamacare with Universal Health Care that he admits the government is going to pay for? Even Breitbart wrote an article at the time pointing this out at the time.
Trump may not support Obamacare by name, but he certainly supports it in principle. And if you remember Obamacare originally had a ‘public option’, which was the single payer component, that died in the Senate. This is what Trump supports!
