Recently, it was revealed that there was a list of words that GM put out so their employees would know to avoid using them. On the absurd list were such common everyday phrases as “Kevorkianesque”, “tomblike”, and “safety related.” If your company’s products are so messed up that you find “safety related” to be a synonym for “deathtrap”, well you’ve got some problems. But that list was only the beginning. Via IJReview, digitas daily has released a new video showing even more “judgment words” that GM would rather you not use in describing their products.
Well that certainly clears things up. And just remember, the next time you hop in your government motors car, it’s not just a way to get there, it’s a way to die there.
