Elizabeth Warren lectures ‘Mitt’ that corporations aren’t people because people live and die

Introducing the president tonight, Elizabeth Warren decided to lecture Mitt Romney on why corporations aren’t people:

And Mitt Romney tells us in his own words that he believes corporations are people. No Mitt, corporations are not people. People have hearts, they have kids, they get jobs, they get sick, they love and they cry and they dance, they live and they die.

Learn the difference.

And Mitt, learn this. We don’t run this country for corporations, we run it for people.

Watch below:

The clip she’s referring to is from last year where Romney was talking about fixing entitlements and how some want to raise taxes on people to do that (he doesn’t). Someone shouted “what about [taxing] corporations” at which point Romney explained that corporations are people too because everything that a corporation earns eventually goes to people:

Why is this so hard for the left to understand? Corporations are businesses that are run by people and if they are successful real people benefit and if they fail real people lose jobs. The people that run corporations have hearts, they have kids, they get jobs (corporate ones!), they get sick, they love, they cry, they dance and they most certainly live and they die. They also poop at least once a day as well.

It’s ridiculous that the left thinks you can just raise taxes on corporations and it doesn’t affect real people. You raise taxes on corporations and they just pass the cost burden onto customers so that we pay higher prices and they likely lose customers. Keep it up and everyone loses.

This is why people like Elizabeth Warren sound so stupid when they try and play this talking point that corporations aren’t people. She doesn’t know what in the world she’s talking about.
