Epic smack down! Anderson Cooper exposes MoveOn.org partisan agenda

Oh this you gotta see. This MoveOn.org guy never had a chance as Anderson Cooper just lets him bury himself under the rhetoric of his partisan agenda and then exposes him for everyone to see. It was glorious:

  • All this means is that CNN can read their own poll numbers, and realize that the White House is going to have new tenants come January, so they need to capitulate some.

    • maybe, but can’t you just enjoy seeing a moveon[dot]org dude get smacked down?

      • Joe

The dude was beside himself –

        • Is_Sense_Common

We only wish they could be rendered speechless – just for a little while. 🙂

          • tvlgds

            More like For – E V E R!

            • Great. Now watch some leftist ass monkey take this as Conservative a death threat.

              • tvlgds

Holy cow! That would be a real stretch! We’re talking speechless, not dead!

      • I think move on dude was about to cry. 🙂 I will sleep peacefully tonight. Thanks: Anderson, Anderson (Bachmann impersonation)

  • Is_Sense_Common

Who took over Anderson Cooper’s mouth in this segment? It sure looked like AC, but it sounded like a rational human being. Wow, I gotta admit. This has me a bit confused. His ratings must really be in the tank if he’s willing to defend Republicans with truth…

    • Joe

      See my comment

    • FreeManWalking

      New strategy…

Who do we believe AC or the moving dots

My thoughts exactly! is this the real AC?

  • PVG

EPIC!! And RARE! I wish AC would have qualified the student loan topic with, “the rate increase is ONLY for new loans”. That was a big fat meatball!

    • Yes, and also that it was the DEMS who built the rate increase into the bill when they wrote in in 2007.

  • Is this a Seinfeld “Bizarro” episode?

  • Joe

    Anderson did a great job

I hope he was sincere for once – BUT

Anderson has a daytime show on FOX now

and may be looking to get off the CNN “news” ship >>

  • I’m very surprised CNN and Anderson Cooper would jump in the way of moveon.org attacking republicans.

  • NYGino

He sounded like Debbie Wasserman Schultz trapped in a corner.

    • Is_Sense_Common

I think his voice was higher than hers…

      • NYGino

Yeah, he’s got better hair too.

      • hbnolikeee

probably had less testosterone as well.

        • Linky1

          Is that covered under Obamacare?

      • Sober_Thinking

    • tvlgds

We can only wish she was trapped in a corner–preferably somewhere other than in the US!

      • Linky1

As long as it’s not Canada. We have enough liberals to deal with.

        • tvlgds

I wouldn’t wish that on you. I was thinking more in terms of Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, Saudi Arabia—you know, the places the screaming liberals think are so wonderful

          • Linky1

Or, judging by the latest election results, France or Greece.

    • Joe

Why would anyone want to trap her?

      • Linky1

        She was eating chickens?

    • That guy was prettier than Wasserman Schultz

      • Linky1

Anyone (with the exception of Helen Thomas and Nancy Pelosi) is prettier than Whatser-name Sargent Shultz.

        • nibblesyble

          lol, this a funny thread!

        • Glazi

The difference there is that Sergeant Shultz admitted it when he knew nothing.

          • Linky1

            THAT Schultz wasn’t a Democrat.

      • MLCBLOG

        By far!!

      • nibblesyble

  • And this guy thought he was going to get the typical softball interview from a “friendly” network. Nice catch, Scoop. This is significant because CNN’s audience (however miniscule as it is these days) is nonetheless comprised overwhelmingly of Democrats and, to a lesser extent, self-described Independents. Seeing one of their own, on prime time television, expose a partisan hack organization for exactly what it is is indicative of just how much trouble the Obama administration and organizations committed to their cause are in right now. It is quite enjoyable to watch the implosion play out. I guess CNN finally cares about its ratings. Being “in the tank” is not as cool as it used to be, is it guys???

  • Moveon.org is nothing but criminal front group.

Evidently, even CNN is finally figuring this out.

    • Please. CNN is a criminal front group.

      • Point taken. Thank you.

I was quoting Mark Levin without giving him credit.

  • Don’t get me wrong: I don’t like Cooper. He’s a homosexual, doesn’t like Christians, and doesn’t like people that speak against his anti-Christian lifestyle choice. However, in a few instances, he actually does do a good journalist act. The idiot he was interviewing? Pathetic. He brought neither gun nor ammunition, believing that this was going to be a softball, marshmellow sauce interview, where Cooper would just butter his balls with praise. He couldn’t answer a single shot thrown at him, because he wasn’t smart enough to consider the possibility that he could come under fire, and he didn’t have the firepower to fight back, anyway. His ally turned on him, and revealed him for a charlatan and a liar, and there’s nothing he’s smart enough to do about it. I’m surprised he didn’t rip off his mike, and run off camera crying.

I think Anderson really wants to be a good journalist, and this sometimes shines through everything else.

  • tvlgds

Wow?? Anderson Cooper doing the smackdown? Amazing. I’d have expected it from someone like Tucker Carlson or Hannity, but Cooper??

  • NYGino

“Mr. Ruben, Mr. Soros would like to have a word with you”

  • Anderson! Why are you doing this to me?! I thought you were one of us!!!! Why oh WHY are you being so MEAN?

sorry, must be the flu meds again.

  • daisybud

I guess Soros gave CNN permission to ask a follow up question but I’ll take it any way I can get it. A few weeks ago Don Lemon of CNN told Obama to stop pointing the finger at everyone else and start taking responsibility for what he has or hasn’t done.

    • Joe

      That’s right

      What gives ?

Must be a deception of sorts!

  • freenca

Even Cooper is starting to get this? Are we starting to have a voice in the MSM? Who is consistently attacking women, BHO and the Dems!

  • Cooper’s got it all wrong. Obama and his boys love women.

  • Watchman74

What’s the saying, a broke clock is right twice a day.

  • hbnolikeee

Perhaps moof on doot ugh tax exempt status is bothering AC, but he did a good job. For whatever reason.

  • Wow, a random act of journalism on CNN. Who would have thunk it? I’ll give the people at CNN a little hint. If they kept doing this and keep doing their jobs by calling out people from MoveOn.Org and Media Matters, their ratings would go way up. I know it’s a stretch for the people at CNN to actually try and be unbiased, but if this is a sign of things to come, not only will their ratings go up but Obama’s minions will have a lot harder time selling the Messiah’s agenda.

    • freenca

Rats fleeing the sinking ? They’ve always tried to tout winners only, so what might be new may only be the old again ? Market share and all that ? Hate to be soo cynical but……

  • Either one of two things just happened, either

    A. i am dreaming

    B. Breightart’s Ghost has possessed Cooper

Only two explanations i can think off.

    • kim

The conspiracy theorists among us would say that TPTB must have decided they are going to push for Romney instead of Obama. And now the media are falling in line. Notice the unemployment number was explained more this time than usual.

    • I think it’s just that move-on is a liability during the election cycle for Obama. They didn’t do him any favors in 2008.

    • nibblesyble

      Good one John!

  • What the heck? How weird. Anderson completely destroyed this guy. He looked like an idiot. But Anderson has never been fair to our side… does not compute! does not compute!!! I’m of a conspiratorial bent here…

  • DCGere

Hehe…wow, AC got a twin brother?

  • Heeeeeyyyyy wait a minute!! There is a full moon- a SUPER moon last night. Ya think….?

    But then again, I like John’s theory ^^… Breibart’s Ghost? hmmmm….

    • toongoon

Oh yeah, (Dark Shadows theme music…). That must be it.
Maybe FOX will hire Anderson Cooper, they usually do hire people who commit random acts of journalism after their leftist media employer fires them.

      • freenca

Does seem a little bit out of character doesn’t it ? Anderson in the CYA mode maybe ?
        Aye,you might have it !

        • toongoon

CNN’s ratings are so low he’s interviewing for a job FOX. Jump ship before it sinks.

        • Linky1

Or, it could be the full moon that has Anderson barking at moonbats.

  • badbadlibs

Oh poor moveon, now they’ll have to limit their sorry appearances to shows like Rachel Madatallthingsdecent and that hateful man, sorry can’t remember his name, because those two shows love to entertain lies.
Kudos to Cooper, wonder if his job is in jeopardy?

  • marketcomp

WOW! Did someone bring Andersen Cooper a brain?

  • Pyrran

Wow, that guy gets whiny when he’s miffed!
I love it when he says, “We shouldn’t be having this conversation!”.
Didn’t expect to get anything from CNN except softballs, did ya?

    Darn those pesky facts!

    • toongoon

He never thought his lies would be questioned in friendly territory.

    • kong1967

Yeah, he wanted to have the conversation until he realized Cooper wasn’t going to play ball.

  • Sorry, this is just liberals trying hard to get on the right side of an issue to gain credibility with the American people, right before the election. This belongs in the toilet, next to my brownie as it is flushed down to where it belongs.

  • Jim Botts

Advertisers must have seen the latest network ratings……

Must steal viewers from FOX, adjust common sense truth/partisan bias ratio to 25/75 from 5/95

  • Nukeman60

I have always believed that polls are skewed to fit the pollsters agenda. The media, of course, denies this. But they can’t deny the drying up of income due to failing ratings. Perhaps we are seeing a desperate swing by desperate media organizations to vainly attempt to get that all important dollar back into their coffers.

If this is the way the media is turning (God forbid they actually listen to the American people for a change), then perhaps the November election will indeed be the blowout that we all assume it has to be, given what Obama has done to this country.

In deference to the great MLK, I say:

I have a dream that someday the media will speak the truth and be unbiased.
I have a dream that someday our politicians will work for us and not themselves.
I have a dream that someday we may truly live in ‘the home of the brave and the land of the free’.

And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, “Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!” – MLK

    Thanks, Anderson. It’s a start.

  • Busted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Call 911, Cooper has clearly had a massive stroke.

Who is targeting women? I’d say its the party that is willing to negotiate with the Taliban and embraces fundamentalist Islamist, ie, Obama and the Democrats.

    • kong1967

Ouch, how true that is…and that is a serious war on women.

    Super dooper Cooper !

    • nibblesyble

  • Mike Lee

Well done, Cooper. Credit where credit is due.

  • Enoch73

An unexpected (and obviously temporary) ally! I’ll take what I can get.

  • B C

    I don’t watch AC 360 but this was… epic.

  • MontanaAnnie

Both glorious AND surprising. I was as surprised as the Move On. org guy.

Wow….did Cooper fall and hit his head or something?

  • jondos

I can picture AC right after the commercial break, “Sorry dude, you know, I have to ask some tough questions, did you see our ratings recently?”

  • BS61

Guess he’s trying to save his own hide! I bet the ladies on the View won’t have him on anymore. 🙂

    • I would never call “The View” ladies, with the exception of Elizabeth. But, after this AC’s Liberal standing will be questioned by the White House, unless of course it was on their orders. You know the “Chicago Way”…throw the liabilities under the bus for the election, then best buds again afterwards. LOL

  • kong1967

    Three pointer for Cooper.

Most of the time I just see them attacking Republicans, but this was quite nice to see. Is CNN trying to grow up a little? It seems like they’ve been trying to be a little more perspective on things. That guy tried shouting over Cooper and he was caught with his pants down. Didn’t look like he was expecting to be taken to the woodshed.

    • NYGino

      Nothing but net.

  • wodiej

LOL, I actually enjoyed that. Good grief, Cooper asked him several times and the guest is just flat out hypocritical. It’s not targeting women if Obama does it but it is if Republicans do it.

  • Susitna

Cooper is a chameleon, according to the rating numbers he will be blue or red.

  • Kordane

Videos like this make me imagine a world in which the media isn’t carrying water for the Democrat party. I have to imagine it really hard though, because reality is the total opposite to that.

  • NCHokie02

  • 911Infidel

That was a good one. Especially comming from CNN. In the long run it will amount to nothing more than another shiny object. Lets see if AC retracts any part of his excellent reportage this week. Don’t want to get on the bad side of the lefty editors…next thing you know AC might get the boot and show up on FOX with his a show.

  • genann59

Loved it. Honest reporting something you don’t see that much of on CNN. Refreshing. Way to start a new day.

  • Well well well. I gotta give it to the Silver Fox on this one. GOOD JOB showing that wienerschnitzel up for the lying reprobate he is.

  • Sober_Thinking

Wow! What’s up with Anderson Cooper? He appears to have grown a soul and a conscience. Watch out Anderson, CNN is no better than NPR… remember what NPR did to Juan Williams. You might get in hot water by forcing out the truth and exposing these liars like this.

    Good job BTW.

  • Anderson Cooper: My job is to report facts. Wow, really? That would be a first, but Cooper did a really good job in smacking down the person representing MoveOn.

  • denbren52

The MoveOn guy looked like the deer in the headlights. He’s got to be thinking “Did I end up on FoxNews by mistake???” I fully expected to see Rod Serling appear on screen announcing a new episode of the Twilight Zone.

    • nibblesyble

  • Linky1

Has Anderson Cooper “seen the light” or is he kissing butt to ensure he has a job at….say…..FOX News?

Mind you, I think I would rather see him report on Fox than those Soros-flavoured radical leftards like Sally and Shamu that have infiltrated FOX these days.

  • drphibes

So, Cooper has a B.S. Detector and he knows how to use it. Please come to Fox news.

  • JJSoteria

    Mendacious MoveOn Metrosexual moron!

  • DebbyX

It seems I’ve seen Anderson do a few things like this, and it never ceases to amaze!

  • mikeyinbrooklyn

Have grown some respect for Mr. Cooper. Reminded me of Tim Russert.
