Erick Erickson agrees that child separation is immoral, but explains that the situation at the border is not as simple as the media is portraying it. In fact he argues the media is purposefully skewing information in order to incite people on the issue instead of portraying it more fairly as he does below:

It’s not just that the media wants to incite people, but they want to do it during an election year in order to help Democrats win more seats in November. If you don’t believe me, ask yourself why the media never got this upset (or at all) at the Obama administration for creating this issue in the first place by allowing criminals and child traffickers into the country with their horrible immigration policies. As Erickson points out, this issue is multifaceted, but much of it belongs to Obama for his immoral ‘catch and release’ policies.
