Even ROMNEY had more delegates than TRUMP at this point in 2012!!

So here’s an interesting tidbit – at this point in the 2012 election, Mitt Romney was in a much stronger position according to delegate count.

Here’s where we are now:

Trump has 460 delegates, but it’s only 90 points above Ted Cruz, who has 370 delegates.

At a similar point in 2012, this was the delegate count:

Romney won at least 41 delegates, while Santorum won at least 35, according to the Associated Press. To date, Romney has 495 delegates while Santorum has 252, by the AP count. To win the GOP presidential nomination, a candidate needs 1,144.

Romney had TWICE as many delegates as the second place Santorum.

And yet Trump keeps saying that he’s leading a “historic movement” – if that’s true, then how come he isn’t even doing better than Establishment Mitt in 2012?
