EVIL: Government RIPPING AWAY 6-year-old from loving foster family for the sake of POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!!

This is a terribly horrible story, and it’s one that you can do something about.

Lexi is a girl who’s found a loving foster family, but the @#$%ing government is going to rip her away because she’s 1/16th Native American, and they want her to be “among her own kind.” This really disturbs and disgusts me, and it shows how heartless and stupid the government can be.

Watch below:

How the hell does this make any sense? I understand how it might be preferable for someone of a certain ethnicity to be raised with that same culture, but that’s only when everything else is equal. Lexi has found a great home where she is flourishing, and the government just can’t have that.

But you can do something about it.

Please sign this petition and spread this story to make sure Lexi stays home:

There is a 6 year old little girl who is going to be ripped away from the only family that she has ever known. Her name is Lexi. The first year of her life she moved from foster placement to foster placement. Lexi has been with a loving, stable family for nearly five years and is thriving and a happy, healthy little girl. To Lexi this family is her everything – her mommy, daddy and brother and sisters. Unfortunately, since Lexi is 1.5% Choctaw, the state of California and LA County have allowed the Indian Child Welfare Law to devastate this family and will be pulling Lexi from her Mommy and Daddy on Sunday to move her to Utah to live with a non-blood related family who aren’t even members of the tribe. I’m pleading with you to please sign our petition & pass this around to everyone you know. LA County & California need to know that Lexi’s rights, stability and permanence matter!

If you need more convincing, read this testimony from someone who went through a very similar situation, and posted about it about Facebook:

Removing a child from the only family that she knows just to further your own political means is just evil. La County DCFS is not about looking out for the best interest of the children in their system, yet looking out for themselves. A child’s best interest should be #1 above anything else, but sadly this is not always the fact. When I was 5 I was placed into foster care and lived with a family that I loved right away. I called them mom and dad after a couple of weeks and grew attached to them very quickly. It took 3 years to get adopted though because I was “Native American”. Being only 1/16 Native, the county decided that what was “best” for me was to leave the family I wanted to stay with and whom I loved just because they had the power to ruin my life and my brothers life. After a ton of fighting and court hearings, my parents finally won and my brother and I were adopted. Over a decade later DCFS still at it. And this little girl is even less native than me, and who’s foster mother is also Native. Sounds like “keeping her native culture alive” would definitely happen with the family that she is with now. Finally, I have shared my story and major concerns with officials at DCFS and they have done nothing to fix the problem at hand. This corruption must stop! savelexi

I think he’s absolutely right.

Please help spread this story and help out one little girl stay with her loving family.
