I guess the DNC Deputy Chair didn’t get the kudos and laurels he was expecting when he said that the North Korean dictator was better than Trump at acting responsibly.
Or did he?
From WaPo:
Ellison immediately retracted those remarks in an interview with a Washington Post reporter after leaving the panel.
“That was one of those I wish I’d not said,” Ellison told the Post. “It’s tailor-made for somebody to misuse. I’d say, he’s being incredibly irresponsible, and he’s putting us in a situation where you could have an accidental launch.
The panel, you should know, was at Netroots Nation 2017, more briefly and accurately known as simply “nutroots” where the remarks that the congressman now claims to regret were roundly applauded.
Nice trick. Say something outrageous for your fanatic audience, get their adoration, and then step right outside and tell the normals “nevermind, I regret it and whatever.”
Neat.
