FACT CHECK: Romney RIGHT on all debate disputes

After giving his own opinion that Romney seemed more presidential during the debate, Chris Wallace fact checks the disputes between Obama and Romney on the Status of Forces agreement that would have left more troops as well as the auto bailout. As you might have expected, Obama lied his butt off:

I see some new Romney campaign ads being produced ASAP about the LIAR !!!!

    • Orangeone

Last debate the ads started rolling out immediately, I’ve yet to see any new ones so far. I hope today is a big rollout day and it needs to start with the Bibi Netanyahu ad

      • I agree! He’s got NObama on the ropes now and it’s time to finish him off.

        • Orangeone

Okay 1st one is out and it’s a great one!  “Apology Tour”.

  • buzzkill59

    Obama lied? I’m shocked!Shocked I tell you!

  • odin147

The one was designed to lie, he has a larger mission to fulfill, his father’s dream. He knows, lying well is crucial to fulfilling that dream.

    • Was it the Koran, or the Communist Manifesto that pronounced a lie as being truth? I can’t remember, but it works either way for Zero.

    • Most people try to make Americans out to look like liars.
Many of those that feel that Americans are living better then most others from other countries.
Many of those would love to bring Americans down to their level.
Which I think is Obama’s fathers dream, which is why Obama is he’ll bent on making that come true.
Remember that Obama and his wife had to surrender their licensees to practice law in Chicago due to fraud.
There is a lot we do not know about Obama due to his records being sealed.

  • toongoon

Is it that Obama lies or he just doesn’t know what the heck he is talking about?

    Oh, who cares? Romney/Ryan 2012!

    • sjmom

Good point but I’d say both.

      • toongoon

Once he is out of office I think Obama being known as an idiot is safer for the world than being a liar.

      • white531

        I agree.

  • JeffWRidge

For Obama, and the left in general, lying in a debate is the same as scoring points. Obama was condescending, arrogant and untruthful. In other words, Obama was being Obama.

    • excellent

    • white531

Obama lies during the debates for two reasons. He knows he is reaching a large audience, and he knows he is good at lying and making it seem believable. He also knows that the majority will not follow up the next day and do the fact checking necessary. He and his team lie, because they know it works with a large portion of their base.

  • sfitzgerald22

Did anyone think Obama was made to look larger when they went to the split screen?

    • toongoon

      It was the ears.

      • StandingGround

And, there it is, Toon. 🙂

      • PVG

        Killin’ me!

      • did anyone happen to notice the scare above obamas right ear? going straight up the side of his head. it was a very serious looking scare.

      • Orangeone
      • Looks like a TAXI with it’s doors open.

      • white531

That’s funny, toon. My wife and I were at my brother’s house for the debate, and we were all comparing Obama’s ears to Romney’s. My sister-in-law calls him, “Curious George,” after the children’s program.

        • I’d call him Dumbo the elephant but the elephant is our symbol. I guess we could call him a laughing jackass, they have long ears and the donkey fits right in there. 🙂

        • toongoon

That’s even funnier because during the debate my wife grabbed a Curious George DVD, held it up to the screen and asked “don’t they look alike?”

I think we’re all starting to think alike. 🙂

    • did anyone notice the scare on obama head over obamas right ear? it looked to be about 5″ long going straight up the side of the head. I think i noticed it while was standing talking and shaking Gov.Romney families hands.

  • Fact check = pay check.

  • PVG

BO tried to lie Michelle’s butt off too. Now that’s some lyin’!!

    • UnCL3

YUP…that’s a LOT of ass to deal with…I hear she’s interested in a set of Kenworth clearance lights for that ass…

…finally on November 7 th 2012 an ADULT will be ELECTED PRESIDENT to RETAKE the White House and the countries CHEQUE BOOK . Start packing your TOYS Mr. Obama .”

    • white531

Obama – “Can I at least keep the airplane?”

  • sjmom

Obama always lies so I am not surprised at Chris’ fact check. Only shows Obama cannot be trusted.

  • Nukeman60

It’s really easy to fact-check Obama since everything he says is a lie. You don’t have to sift through his statements, just take them all.

  • stage9

Look at Obama’s eyes. You can see the hostility in them. The utter disdain for Romney. it’s like it’s personal with him. Just look at his eyes.

    • colliemum

All Bathhouse Barry has got is visceral hatred for aman he knows is better than him not just in politics but as a human being.

    • Tiffini

My friend Shilo and I discussed that very thing. How you could see the hate pouring out of him. I will just be glad when this is over and we can finally have a real president again. It’s been a long four years.

    • NOBama has that dead look about his eyes the same way a shark does.

  • colliemum

Well, Fox fact checkers would have to run a debate-long programme because Bathhouse Barry was lying every time he opened his mouth, in addition to being snarky, petulant, and impolite with interrupting all the time.

Yeah, Bathhouse Barry – everybody can check the record: your record. And it’s one big FAIL.

  • Glad Mr Wallace was able to get the fact check done so quickly, he heads off a tiny portion of the main stream media falsehoods and fabrications headed our way.
I noticed Mr Wallace discribe obama as slashing and cutting. Seems Mr Wallace still had bayonet on the back of his mind.

  • Yazz55

    The new debate rules…

Obama scores points for each lie.

    • p m

That way he’s always the winner…

      • kong1967

        He wins by a landslide.

  • p m

Romney is a very smart and knowledgable man.
Obama is very ignorant and a liar.
    That’s my fact-checking report.

  • I was stuck listening to the radio after the debate for a little while. Just in time hear a formerly decent journalist (who I never liked, but respected), Sam Donaldson, trying to carry water for Obama over the Detroit bailout lie.

Sam, just go back to J-School and continue teaching the next batch of tabloid scrawlers. Journalism is dead.

  • 3seven77

I thought that moment when Obama got nasty about “horses and bayonets” was very telling. I’m sure the leftists in his base were jumping up and down with delight, but for the rest of us it revealed just how small and petty Obama really is.

    • kong1967

Exactly. Condescending, and he was talking to Romney like he couldn’t recite the alphabet up to ‘C’. It was disrespectful and appalling.

  • Romney showed respect to his President which is what he should have done.
President Obama was very disrespectful and almost childish at times.
Were not dumb Americans, we know our facts and can see thru lies and deception, something President Obama needs to understand.
I was taught that truth always prevails.

    • kong1967

Talking about disrespect, what did you think of Obama when he said we have fewer bayonets and horses, and that we now have things called aircraft carriers and etc. ?

I thought that made him look arrogant, condescending, disrespectful, and he was talking to Romney like he had to have the alphabet spelled out for him. I wanted to bust Obama’s lip for that. Romney treated Obama with respect and Obama talked down to Romney.

  • kong1967

I was disappointed that Romney didn’t hit the first question out of the park. They were specifically asked if there was an attempt to cover up what happened in Benghazi, and Romney didn’t even touch it. In fact, he hardly said a word about Benghazi and had a broader argument about foreign policy.

Now I know why. He wanted to be more about the big picture and he didn’t want to start fights with Obama.

Obama really pi**ed me off with his comeback about the bayonets, aircraft carriers and submarines. It was way beyond condescending and he was talking to Romney like he was stupid. It was round 2 of Joe Biden in the VP debate.

    • Orangeone

If only the Marine in the audience who was tweeting Fox News about Barky Boy’s lies would have stood up and said “liar”, it would have been priceless!

      • kong1967

Yes, that would have been hilarious….along with the huge simulataneous gasps of the Democrat party. How dare he disrespect the King…I mean President.

    • white531

Interesting that you would bring that up, kong. This morning a woman called into our local talk radio show on that very subject.

She basically said that Romney, knowing that Obama had a multitude of canned answers about the Benghazi attack, decided to ignore it completely, and talk instead about China and the economy and other issues. I think she was right, because it really messed with Obama’s mind all evening. He was all set for a big discussion of the Embassy attack, and Romney just sidestepped the whole thing.

It was brilliant, because it has already been proven, and more proof is coming out everyday, that the administration and the State department lied. There was no reason to discuss it further. This was one of the reasons Romney looked more Presidential, and Obama looked like a whiner.

      • I get a laugh out of thinking about NObama learning his lines and rehearsing his delivery regarding Benghazi and Romney didn’t even give him a chance to use them. Hours of preparing just wasted by a waster.

        • white531

Exactly. It was a beautiful strategy.

      • kong1967

I happen to agree with everything you just said.

  • Of course Obama lied. It’s what he does best. And when the facts are not on your side, simply make them up. Right, Mr. President? Romney showed, once again, that he has a great grasp on business and the economy and he made Obama look small and foolish. THAT is why Romney will win this election. He looked more like the president than the president did.

  • Gosh…it’s easy for Mr Wallace to fact check so quickly when all Hejaz to do is NOTHING. You guys have been so brainwashed by Fox “News” lies that you woulda know the truth if it turned around and bit you in the ass. But, of course the media/propaganda network of the GOP would NEVER lie, right?

    • 20Chitowndemrevenuestream12

you can take the cardboard box off your head now

    • notebene

Dearie, skip back over to the brain wash networks…CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and NPR. It’s at a level of 4th grade, so you should continue on in your immature and ignorant rant amongst people as ignorant as you are. Buh- bye! Can’t wait to watch the Imposter in Chief get booted in 2 weeks! Especially can’t wait to watch to robots such as yourself cry and carry on about how unfair the whole liberal bias of the lamestream media was to your Imposter. The Imposter lied throughout the debate and clearly showed his ignorance. That’s why he’s a hero to you, he is as ignorant and arrogant as the people he represents. Nothing about him has changed in the last 4 years. He’s all about himself and votes and he will lie and appear to give you what you want, when all it is is smoke and mirrors. There are plenty of us, who knew he was a progressive, socialist tool that should never be in office from the get go. Whine elsewhere little troll!

    • Orangeone

Oh Katie, your public school education is showing. Did they teach you the first thing about research or just tell you to trust them? Here’s a little free hint, Wikipedia was designed for people with your lack of intellect. So go to the Wikipedia website and research the following: “Narcissist”, “Islam”, and “Terrorist”. If someone has done their job, you should find a pix of the slime you worship.

      • Orangeone, why yes, I did go to public school through high school but then went to a very nice private university for my undergrad work. So, I know how to think for myself very well, thank you. And I don’t use Wikipedia at all for information – I know of far better sources for information. I don’t worship Obama, but I do prefer him over Romney, who flip-flops on issues like a fish out of water, gasping for air.

The other point I would like to make is that I can make an argument for why I will NOT vote for Romney that doesn’t involve name-calling, insults, or the need to insult his wife. And, in case you are wondering, I could never vote for Romney/Ryan for the same reason I could never have voted for McCain/Palin. As a woman, I would be doing myself an immense disservice by voting for them and their misogynistic policies. It’s 2012, and I can choose what to do with my own body…and, I choose NOT to spend my life barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.

        • Katie wrote: “need to insult my wife” and later “as a woman”. You just let the mask slip and the agenda show. You’ve had your fun trolling, not run along the adults need to discuss issues.

        • Orangeone

Enjoy your Sharia law.  I hope you realize when the gov’t controls your body that you went into it without researching the consequences.  And if you have a daughter, be sure to tell her, mommy believes you married to a mooslim that rapes you daily is for your own good.

        • Huss Family

Slam, dunk, another lieberal tool bites the dust. Tell us about those lovely professors at your “very nice private university” – which kind of “ists” were they? Marxists? Feminists? Critical Racist Theory? The party that hates women, that hates minorities, that truly hates the poor, by keeping them all reduced to carictures and slaves on the statist plantation, is the Democrat party. As a former Democrat I can’t understand why any woman would keep sucking up to a party that is as demeaning, insulting, objectifying and degrading to women as the modern Democrat party. Wake up, occupy your brain – to the Democrats you are nothing but a vagina with a vote, and they assume (and your response shows they are right) that you are defined by and will think with your sexual organs. Frankly I am a he#$ of a lot more concerned with the world and the country my children will inherit, whether they will be able to get a job, whether they will have any freedom or any opportunity left. My kids and grandkids deserve so much better than inheriting a bankrupt economy, a third rate, third world country and a boatload of broken promises. You, and female Dem tools like you, seem to be driven only by your passion for having the government subsidize your sex lives and saving yourselves from the inconvenient punishment of children. Because, btw? That body you and your “ist” minions are throwing in the trash? It’s NOT YOURS – it’s someone ELSE’s. Your arguments and your platform sell our kids’ future for today’s inane and unsupportable pandering political promises. Your sentiments, and the Democrat platform they offer women, are nothing more than institutionalized, shortsighted selfishness.

        • white531

I agree, Katie. I don’t want you reproducing, either.

        • wallwatchman

Then use those smarts and education your touting Katie, and do the fact checking yourself. This is not a dictatorship. Romney/Ryan can’t make you stay home, pregnant and in the kitchen!! This is an absurd reason to be voting for Obama.

I am a woman, and am tired of liberal women making us look stupid. Like the only thing we care about is having sex and making others pay for our pills. No one is taking your rights away as a woman. You can still vote, work, own property, marry or not, get an education, etc. Read the constitution. Got this a long time ago. What isn’t a right and should never be is me and others PAYING for your extra curricular activities! That’s not a right! That’s greedy and selfish. You want to know what it’s like to have men and governments telling you what to do with your body?! Check with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, etc. Girl, we’ve got it made here in America! Stop fighting these imagined grievances! We’ve got real problems here, but contraception, big bird, binders, aren’t them!! Distractions. And your falling for them!

        • ML438

I am surprised that, as a supposedly college-educated woman, you can say Romney’s policies are misogynistic. The very meaning of the adjective is “reflecting hatred, dislike, mistrust or mistreatment of women.” I am also a college-educated woman, and I haven’t seen any evidence of that. I see a very principled, good man who respects women no matter whether they are in the workforce or choose to be stay-at-home mothers. As governor of Massachusetts, he chose qualified women to work with him in Lt. Gov and cabinet positions, and he also respects and loves his wife.
I happen to be a mother, and I work. What is wrong with striving to have it all? Why are you so militant? Romney does not want to force any women to stay at home, barefoot and pregnant. No one is forcing you to do anything. If anything, Romney wants to restore an America where you can be whatever you want to be as long as you’re willing to strive and work for it. Contrast this to our current president who wants the government to tell us what we can and can’t do. I think that is a much more dangerous proposition.

        • GeorgiaPeachie

So, what you are saying is that a woman who doesn’t want to be “barefoot and pregnant” has to be able to kill babies? What about the options of being RESPONSIBLE and not screwing around without protection? Or taking birth control? Do you expect others to pay for your sex life?

          • white531

Call me crazy, but I never thought my wife was more beautiful, than when she was barefoot and pregnant with our son. There is nothing more beautiful, than a healthy woman, carrying new life.

I don’t believe any Father ever felt differently.

What has happened to this nation, when these monumental events in the life of a family, can be mocked and made fun of?

Using all the words I have ever learned, I am not able to describe the revulsion I feel, at someone killing an unborn child. Can you?

I will never understand the society that we are forced to live in, these days. Any number of primitive societies on this planet, have a better understanding of life than we do. They understand the miracle of birth, the dignity of death, after a life well lived, and everything that happens, in between. Primitive society has an order about it, that is missing in our so-called, “Modern Society.”

With all our technology, and Hollywood movies, to help us with our morals, we have become a society lost between birth and death. We all face birth and death. Neither can be avoided. Its the stuff in between, that we have made a mess of.

I know I get like this sometimes. Its late, I know. Blame it on the Chardonnay.

            Don’t forget to vote.

    • Question. So, how much do MediaSpinMatters.org or Movealongalready.org pay you to come troll Conservative websites with this kind of blather? Do you get paid per post, or per reply?

      • I’ve never even heard of those sites Wolfie. I don’t need them to spin it for me. I can read and form my own opinions, despite what you and your cohorts believe.

        • Yeeeah! I have “cohorts” now! 🙂 How man, and do I have to pay them much? LOL!

I don’t believe you never heard of those two sites. Even though I deliberately mashed them up so as not to advertise them here, it’s obvious to everyone what sites I mean and why I used them.

  • Rocco11

I’m impressed by Mr. Wallace’s objectivity, it couldn’t have been easy growing up in that liberal bastion known as the Mike Wallace household.

    • Betsey_Ross

Chris Wallace is a Dem. You are right. It must have taught him to make sure he is fair and balanced. I think Chris is going for the Tim Russett Award in journalism. I didn’t/don’t agree much with either man, but I don’t hate either one. The best you can say about both of these men is that they aren’t obnoxious and are as fair as they can be.

  • FreeManWalking

We may not have horses in the military, but the CIC demonstrated he is the southbound part of a northbound horse.

  • deeme

Yes if winning is calling someone a liar when they are telling the truth, then I don’t want to be the winner..Not only that but if Israel meant so much to him , he should of proved it when they were here,he is trying to get back the Jewish vote ..Tooooo Late….Listening to their side, they don’t care if you tell the truth..

  • BiscuitCrumbs

My my. If only Romney could have summond the manuscripts from the mediator. An on site fact checker, if you will, like what was done in the last debate…oh wait, nevermind, Romney leans to the right.

  • Romney came across as the responsible adult. NObama came across as the spoiled brat infantile narcissist he actually is. I too, like many, wanted Romney to hammer NObama on Libya. But I guess, he knows what he’s doing and the reports I’ve read suggest it was actually a very sound strategy NOT to go on the attack on this one issue, not to talk about the tree, but the entire forest if you will.

Romney still won! And I think with moderates and independents he will win big and I expect to see this reflected in the upcoming polls.

    Romney is our next President.

  • MiketheMarine

It is against Maobama’s religion to tell the truth. That religion is islam and the term that explains it, for those of you that want to do your own research is taqiyya. It is a muslim’s religious duty to lie to all infidels.

  • Orangeone

OH focus group overwhelmingly believe Romney won the debate and their votes! And this from CBS. Even the alphabet soupers are seeing the writing on the wall.

  • steprock

The CIC insults the importance of the Navy? Good call.

What burns my butt is that Obama keeps saying “we should do this and that” and I keep screaming at the TV “Then why didn’t you do it???”

His supporters call in after and say “Bush made such a mess, I just think the President needs more than 4 years to get it all back on track again.”

  • Sober_Thinking

I appreciate this assessment. Today I’m hearing so-called “fact checkers” disputing Romney’s claim of an “apology tour”… but it was what it was – an apology tour.

Obama has nothing but lies and more snake oil to sell… he’s worthless and anyone voting for this lying, incompetent despot needs to have their head examined.

  • The Democrats are the party of the Ass.

  • The democratic machine, including their pet media, can not discredit the republicans on substance; so they go after trivial things: Big Bird, the binder and now bayonets. They twist things onto its head, accusing others of what they themselves are doing. Threatening violence, bullying others, and name calling. This is a serious matter, not a childrens’ playground. The fate of our nation is at stake, and the leadership has sold us down the river.

  • For those who say Obama is anti oil: Up yours!!!

NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. oil output is surging so fast that the United States could soon overtake Saudi Arabia as the world’s biggest producer.

Driven by high prices and new drilling methods, U.S. production of crude and other liquid hydrocarbons is on track to rise 7 percent this year to an average of 10.9 million barrels per day. This will be the fourth straight year of crude increases and the biggest single-year gain since 1951.

The boom has surprised even the experts.

“Five years ago, if I or anyone had predicted today’s production growth, people would have thought we were crazy,” says Jim Burkhard, head of oil markets research at IHS CERA, an energy consulting firm.

The Energy Department forecasts that U.S. production of crude and other liquid hydrocarbons, which includes biofuels, will average 11.4 million barrels per day next year. That would be a record for the U.S. and just below Saudi Arabia’s output of 11.6 million barrels. Citibank forecasts U.S. production could reach 13 million to 15 million barrels per day by 2020, helping to make North America “the new Middle East.”

The last year the U.S. was the world’s largest producer was 2002, after the Saudis drastically cut production because of low oil prices in the aftermath of 9/11. Since then, the Saudis and the Russians have been the world leaders.

    • GeorgiaPeachie

You do realize that the ONLY REASON we are producing more oil is BECAUSE OF PRIVATE DRILLING?!! Our Public Lands, that obama has CONTROL OVER are producing LESS!!! So yes, the American People are succeeding in spite of obama!

    • white531

What a pleasant way for you to introduce yourself to us, gagaling. I never cease to be amazed by the rudeness of Liberals.

I guess the question I would have to ask you, is why do you even come here in the first place?

You know you are not up to the task. You know we will bury you with facts, which you know you don’t really like.

Some say you get paid for these ventures into enemy territory. If that is true, then that would explain a lot.

In any event, GeorgiaPeachie just answered your question. Let’s use that as a starting point, and after that, we will try to make sure your visit here among us is as enjoyable as we can make it. You are a guest here, after all. An uninvited guest, but a guest, nonetheless.

Perhaps you can begin, by telling us a little about yourself. So far, all we have seen from you, are the ten words you began with. After that, a big quote from one of your favorite news sources.

Entertaining as that was, there must be more to your complicated personality, than we have seen so far. Please enlighten us, as to how we got so far off track, in our defense of basic American principles.

We look forward to the conversation.

      • Mark Sabotta

        The rudeness of liberals, huh?
“I agree, Katie. I don’t want you reproducing, either” is your quote about a woman I don’t assume you personally know, eh?
I’m a liberal independent voter, who has been absolutely appalled by some of the things I’ve read here. I don’t do the studies, so I’m not the one who can say one source is right when another is wrong, I’m simply forced to keep an open mind. I can tell you because I saw it with my own eyes that Romney agreed with Obama on at least 4 points throughout just the foreign policy debate. Sanctions, drones, the timetable to leave Iraq, and Syria were all agreed with by Romney, but there are people here who try to claim that every single thing Obama has done has made him appear weak and Romney would do much better.
The reason Obama did not follow through with the status of forces agreement was because the Iraqi people refused to grant our troops immunity from their laws. Obama decided that because that point was not going to be agreed upon, that we should pull out and not have the agreement in the first place. Fox goes on to spin what Obama said about the military: He said that we have FEWER bayonets and Fox tries their hardest to make it seem like Obama said “we no longer use bayonets.”
Both of the major candidates have flat out lied during the last four years, whether through self contradiction or promising to close Gitmo, so we need to pick our next president on policy more than whether or not we have caught them in a lie before. I can respectfully disagree with you about the place of government and taxes to bring up the lowest common denominator, the availability of birth control, the allowance of abortion, and the legality of marriage for homosexuals, but those things are far more opinion and preference based, and I do not feel this is the place for those discussions. I just would like to see respect from people when discussing politics, so that maybe we can talk about them openly again. Thank you for reading this if you did.
