I’ve listened to this clip several times and I love it more and more each time I watch it, specifically that point Miller makes about the so-called “war on women” that Leno firmly believes in, and the point he makes about waterboarding. Both are excellent and there’s more.

Watch below:

“I want to help the helpless. I don’t CARE about the clueless!”
That could be the front and back of a t-shirt right there.

    • Cindy09

      Or an excellent bumper sticker!!

Waow!! That’s an awesome line from Dennis Miller!

    • bobemakk

We have too many Obama supporters who want the social justice programs a/k/a “Obama bucks.” And if Obama is re-elected we will be a bankrupt socialist country, the politically uneducated just don’t understand what that is. They are politically uneducated, Dennis Miller was great with Leno. Leno is full of crap!

  • Slickfoot

    Miller for Sec State.

    • steprock

Why the heck not? Al Frankenstein got elected…under weird circumstances, but hey. He got elected. Send all the comedians to Congress and let ‘em hang out with all the other jokers. At least they call it like they see it.

    • SineWaveII

      No Sec of Treasury

  • RosiesSeeingRed

Nice to hear the audience clapping and hooting and hollering for pretty much every point Dennis Miller made.

    • M_J_S

It goes to show you Obama is going down.

      • barney59

Unfortunately the lines outside of NBC Burbank for the Tonight Show are mostly out-of-state visitors… it’s a better barometer for Kansas than Studio City!

        • SineWaveII

Very true, on the other hand nobody is expecting R&R to carry California.

          • crosshr

true dat, myself and bunch of friends will vote not for Obama.

            • BS61

              Bless you!

          • ggswede

You just might be surprised ! Every day, more and more Californians like myself, are starting to wake up,and are not very impressed with whats going on here. And that’s from the president all the way to the governor and senators etc.

    • steprock

Yeah, I liked that too. (Some of it, they were just clapping at all the jokes because they were there to have a laugh. Like Miller makes a joke about the Spruce Goose. Do Jay Leno’s audience members even get the reference?)

But they sure as heck understood Miller saying help the helpless, not the clueless. They applauded that. Maybe they ARE waking up! Like Miller asked, what’s the draw to vote for Obama? What’s he done? He’s being as hawkish as a Republican.

      • Mtncougar

Democrats are sooo gullible. But maybe some are waking up. Liberal politicians say there’s a war on women!!! And democrats believe it. Liberal politicians say conservatives are violent!! And democrats don’t bother to see that 99% of politically motivated violence is by the left. Liberal pundits say Republicans are racist!! And no one checks the Democrat’s long history of rampant racism.

And the magic wand of Keyensian economics (spend more) which has been thoroughly debunked word wide.

        Democrats are so, so gullible.

        • RosiesSeeingRed

Gosh, Mtncougar, could you overhear my dinner conversation tonight with my husband? I said almost exactly the SAME thing to him about the left, adding to your examples that they have “announced” that Mitt Romney is unlikable, so therefore, liberals think he’s unlikable.

That’s why we call them sheeple, right? ;-)

          • BS61

I’ll take unlikeable and fiscally responsible any day!

            • RosiesSeeingRed

Seriously! I always ask liberals, if they had a brain tumor, would they want an unqualified, but likable, brain surgeon? Or would they want the expert with the lousy bedside manner?

Anyway, I don’t think Romney is unlikable at all. He appears to have been a good husband, good father, good neighbor, and good citizen. Let’s compare Romney’s charitable contributions to Obama’s and see how they fare.

              • http://twitter.com/LoriPatriot Lori Patriot

Actually, Romney gave 15% to various charities, he gave his inheritance away in his father’s name to help educate future generations at the schools he went to.

Obama is cheap with his own money. He gave 2% to charity despite earning 4.2 million – Joe Biden gave $300.00!! http://townhall.com/columnists/larryelder/2008/10/09/in_defense_of_the_rich/page/full/ Romney is what he seems, a smart, modest, loving, caring, accomplished, genteel, genuine statesman raised to be a giver NOT a taker. He’s the closest thing to George Washington,as far as love of country, morals & decency that we’ve had in a long time. God bless the R & R ticket. Hopefully more people will buy the only ticket that will put America on a fast track to recovery & prosperity.

        • BS61

Well, hopefully this wiill cheer you up – this former life-long Dem from Chicago woke up, so maybe there is hope that normal Dem’s realize that we are not progressives!

          • ggswede

Was wondering how long it would be before you guys ( true democrats ) would begin voicing your opinions ?

    • dontcareaboutclueless

Good segment by Dennis, but man is Jay seriously that stupid? He’s just regurgitating DNC talking points. What War on Women, Jay? Because the party doesn’t support forcing religious institutions to pay for contraception? Obama is compassionate? Why because he says he cares? How are people doing under his administration? Look at the results, not the empty words he reads off a teleprompter.

    • Peter_S

Keep in mind that there is a pre-taping interview thats done with the guests. They ask them what they are going to talk about. Also this allows the host to set them up to be able to look their best during their segment. I don’t think Jay is unaware he just wants to make his guests look good. Unless the guest is completely out of their mind he doesn’t really ever challenge them. But Jay also lives and works in HW so of course he leans to the left.

    • Cindy09

I say, Leno should trade his spot with Letterman, we’ll see if he really means it!

    • SineWaveII

Consider this, Leno’s income and net worth is easily 20 times Dennis Miller’s. I read an article awhile back about why the super-rich are usually so liberal. The Answer: because they can afford to be.
Miller was hitting Leno with facts and Leno was responding with ideology. It was the typical upper-middle class trying to talk to sense to the upper-upper class.
Leno has been so rich for so long he’s no longer in contact with reality.

  • Nukeman60

You know, I want to help the helpless, but I don’t give a rats-a$$ about the clueless‘ – Miller

Yeah, that about sums it up. Miller has a way with words and it was hilarious just watching Leno flounder trying desparately to defend Fluke and her ‘war for wantonness’.

    • crosshr

Fluke = moan of ark. lol Miller is and always the funniest. my fav.

  • Kordane

    What’s with this “compassion” crap?

Government isn’t meant to be compassionate. It doesn’t have any money of its own to be compassionate with. It can only redistribute from some people for the sake of other people – Or in other words: Engage in theft for the sake of others.

If you want to be compassionate with your own money, then so be it, but when government forces me to be compassionate by seizing my money and then giving it to people it thinks are deserving/needy, then that’s just theft, plain and simple.

Statists love to exploit the human sense of compassion, because it allows them to justify bigger and bigger government. The Left is full of that corrupt thinking.

    • CalCoolidge

Exactly. What’s compassionate about any form of statism?

What’s compassionate about Obama wanting to bankrupt the coal industry, make utility bills skyrocket, shut down our oil wells, give our money to Brazil’s Soros-owned oil company so that we have to buy oil from them? What’s compassionate about running up the debt, making young healthy people buy expensive health insurance, shutting off the water supply to the San Joaquin Valley?

    • 3seven77

Kordane, what an absolutely awesome comment! I don’t think I’ve read any better explanation of what is happening with government today. I hope you don’t mind, but I’m going to copy this and keep it and use it whenever and whereever I can. But I will preceed it with the words, “Someone very wise once said…”.

      • Kordane

As I wrote that, I was actually thinking of the more articulate James Madison quote: “I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objective of benevolence, the money of their constituents.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Donald-Arey-III/100001713622116 Donald Arey III

Wow, Leno really has his head in the sand doesn’t he? He thinks Obama is “compassionate” and that is what we need. I’ve got news for you, the federal government has been playing “rich uncle” for 60 years and now we are 16 trillion in debt. There isn’t enough money in the world to pay for all of this alleged “compassion”.

It isn’t compassion to give drugs to a junkie.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2AYRITGII2XF25M7FQLGJIS6KM KM

What Jay meant was that since he must rely on Hollywood elitists, he must also echo their sentiments… Jay knows who butters his bread…

    • CalCoolidge

Their compassion is to scoop half the money off the top, and buy drugs for junkies by giving the contract to their cronies.

I doubt if Leno was ever compassionate in the first person, picking up a homeless bum from the street, bringing him home, and getting him a job.

  • brendawatkins

Right, compassion for regular people.. unless he’s your half brother living in poverty in Kenya.

    • MiketheMarine

Great Point and welcome aboard. We can always use more Hotties, Brenda !

    • MiketheMarine

      Brenda,

I checked out your profile and see that you are more active than I am in this political stuff. I don’t do social media, though I do have a facebook page. I never go to it. It is for my aunt and mother to have some more farms. I’ll give you my personal email and you can include me in your political stuff groups. I’ll read it.

      • brendawatkins

I’m not really with a group. I just read articles online, and voice my opinion. I do have twitter, but that’s it.

        • MiketheMarine

You have an unbelievable 5.75 likes per post. That means you make well thought out comments. I’m impressed…

          • brendawatkins

You’re embarrassing me.. lol. Thanks. :)

            • MiketheMarine

I have a tendency to say (or type) what I’m thinking. Probably why I have a slightly lower percentage. LOL

              • brendawatkins

I do too which is why i’m surprised mine is as high as it is.

                • MiketheMarine

                  Your avatar doesn’t hurt. =)

I’ve heard attractive women spend their lives knocking pushy men out of their way. Brains and beauty? If you were in Maryland, you would be forced to knock me with that stick. LOL

                • MiketheMarine

I’m outta here. I hope to run into you tomorrow.

  • http://tinyurl.com/wwsotu Whitewolf2009

Oh excellent! Thanks so much for posting that Scoop! After the other news, this is just the tonic I needed to lift my mood a little again! Loved the line about sending Warren (Chief Spreading Bull) a campaign contribution. But “just to pi$$ her off I sent it in beads” LOL!!! Also didn’t know Jay was a NObama supporter. So… fun and informative! :-)

  • Army_Pilot1967

Leno’s just a regular ol’ liberal talking about the Republicans’ war on women! What’s that all about? That’s an old Dimocrap line…drop it, Jay, and be realistic for once. The Dimocraps are waging war on the middle class, but I don’t hear you voicing any concern over that. Why not? Oh, never mind, you’d come up with another party line response, and I don’t want to hear it from you or anyone else.

    • steprock

Mike Huckabee posted a quip on Facebook about the Dems declaring the GOP is waging a war on women…right before introducing Bill Clinton as the convention keynote speaker.

      http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/c0.0.403.403/p403x403/552054_10151035306177869_1284603653_n.jpg

      • Army_Pilot1967

LOL….yeah, Clinton knows all about waging war on women, maybe he’s really a closet Republican……NOT!!! I hate the way Dims/Libs just pound away on Conservatives/Republicans about how evil we are, but it seems we never lob any big bombs back at ‘em. We ought to pound on them relentlessly up until election time.

        • http://twitter.com/finalfrontier10 M-Theory

Unfortunately, there aren’t enough big forums where these metaphorical conservative bombs can be lobbed. Miller probably reached the largest audience than any conservative in the last three years (considering the MSM’s slobbering love affair with BO to the exclusion of all opposing ideas) except for maybe the Republican convention with Ann Romney and Chris Christy last night. Much as we hate it, the traitorous “Big Three” networks still have the largest audiences, so for Miller to be able to get his poignant commentary uncensored and aired is a coup in and of itself. It was “stand up” of Jay to have him on the show and let him air the other (more common sense) side of the argument. Hopefully, more will wake up. I love a good Miller diatribe.

          • Army_Pilot1967

Amen on the loving “a good Miller diatribe.”

  • NYGino

I don’t get it. They talk about a mythical war on women but say nothing about a real war on Christianity.

    • Rshill7

The lefty elites have been waging a war on credulity itself too, for decades.

  • odin147

Jay people need jobs not compassion.

    • HarrietHT2

Or, if you want to show compassion, create an economic environment where jobs are plentiful and people can gain self-respect and dignity by working and paying their own way in life.

The fact is that these “compassionate” political types have a vested interest in keeping people subservient — which is why the so-called war on poverty was nothing more than a slogan and has resulted in more human misery, not less.

“Helpless” versus the “clueless,” the take-away-line for me.

  • poljunkie

I’m really glad that Dennis saw the light after 9/11 and moved to the right.

  • MikeBri527

Hey Jay, government will never be compassionate or benevolent!

  • stevenbiot

Haha! Miller has skills. We need conservatives with this type of gusto. Jay Leno is an idiot. He brings up Akin, and then says that he stands for our viewpoints. Great analysis, Jay.

  • mder4thegov

Didn’t realize Leno was such a clueless wimp.
    Jay, Obama cares about Obama.

  • EchoMike

If Romeny wins, we need to take people like Leno, and show them step by step how lives are improved overall.
Go on every news show and highlight the number of jobs created, revenues into the Fed Govt, so on and so forth.
Improving on Obama’s record should be a cake walk, but have to make sure we educate peolpe at the same time so when the next elecetion comes around, and the Dems use the same old tired arguments, we can respond with an increase in black employment, female employment to show that capitalism, and free markets work!

    • Nukeman60

What gets me is someone like Leno, who has made his millions and, in so doing, created tons of jobs and boosted the economy, doesn’t seem to get it even though it’s staring him in the face. Could Obama be right? Is Leno one of those people who has ‘made too much money’? How much does he need before he understands capitalism.

I think he understands it all too well, though. It’s the old socialist philosophy of excess for me and only compassion for thee.

      • badbadlibs

Too bad Miller didn’t ask Leno why he had to take a pay cut and fire about 20 people who work for the show….how’s that “compassion” and “hope and change” working out and how many women lost their jobs on his show….that’s the real war on women.

  • Arrrggghhh

Leno showed his hand big time when he parroted the “war on women” talking point. Making the Catholic church pay for birth control and abortions is a “war on women”, seriously? Standing up for a baby’s right to be born is a “war on women”, seriously?

Even if one were to stipulate, for arguments sake, that reasonable people could honestly disagree on the abortion issue, to call it a “war on women” is ridiculous. Do liberals truly think that people who are pro choice or who believe in freedom of religion actually hate women? Perhaps they do. If they were intelligent, they wouldn’t be liberals, now would they?

    • poljunkie

We were traveling last week and the week before.
At the airport, my husband and I bought a handful of magazines to help us get thru the “hurry up and wait” at the gate. I was in relaxation mode and just wanted to chill. I bought a women’s fitness magazine, a few travel magazines, and a couple other random selections. One of the journals I purchased was Women’s Day, and Good Housekeeping. I thought they would have some recipes, and some mindless information that would help pass the time.
To my surprise ½ thru the glossy was a “special” on “WOMENS Health and “what you need to know!”
The 6 or 8-page article complete with an endorsement by the one and only Sandra Fluke highlighted her pro-abortion stance, and discussed how she testified before the House Democratic Steering/ Policy Committee. The article delved into the ongoing wish for to provide access for contraception, abortion and everything else in-between (and how the Democrats were so much better for women rights issues than Republcans)

I was disgusted. This was supposed to be a “fun” magazine. Recipes, maybe workout recommendations, cars and sewing suggestions, travel opinions, light hearted stuff. I didn’t want, need or expect biased political advertisements, clearly pushing an agenda.

      • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

To the lefties, “Women’s Health” really only boils down to “free birth control.”

One look at the survivability ratios in England for breast cancer shows exactly what leftists think of women’s actual health.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2AYRITGII2XF25M7FQLGJIS6KM KM

I hope Miller is the “secret” speaker at the GOP convention…

    • poljunkie

That would be teh funny. or Greg Guttfeld. HA

  • http://twitter.com/LawrenceLange1 Lawrence Lange

High School educated Leno shows his naive, simple-minded approach to life. If he didn’t have writers telling him what to say Leno would be on the street himself. Ask Jay to explain what is “compassionate” about a president who is bankrupting the next two generations with his insane spending/borrowing.

  • marketcomp

They are both morons because the one thing they have in common is that they both like Obama?! Really! And frankly I am sick and tired of the liberal and conservative media miss quoting or just lying about what Todd Akin said. I mean what is this the Todd Akin bashing! I would take his core belief about preserving life than I would take Barack Obama’s belief of infanticide. I mean really which one is more destructive to life! This also shows how the establishment and Karl Rove need to lie about what a staunch conservative republican said, but the real goal is to remove the christian conservatives who is a solid base for the republican party and I believe that if this bashing continues then the RINOs and the establishment will have accomplished one thing, getting Barack Obama re-elected!

  • Rshill7

Dennis Miller is simply amazing. Smart, a virtual photographic memory, as quick with an eloquent and funny comeback as a mongoose taking on a cobra. Absolutely brilliant, salient, poignant, all wrapped up in humor. He’s a real hero IMO, and blessed with talent to spare.

The left needs to learn how to differentiate between verbalized/feigned compassion versus the genuine article. Tough love is so much more like true compassion. It lasts so much longer too. Attaching permanent crutches to the limbs of folks with government super glue is not. It zaps the human spirit and makes them so much less than they were created to be.

    Three “Yays!” for Dennis!

    No “Yays!” for Jays!

    • p m

Remember when Dennis had his own show on, believe it or not, MSNBC? Loved it and him. David Horowitz was on regularly as well as Dennis Prager – that’s where lots of us got hooked on them.
Course, it was all too good to last long – the excuse for shutting it down was ratings. But many fond memories. Thank goodness we have his radio show now.

      • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

Miller’s shows tend to have a sort of NPR-sounding quality. Kind of lulls you to sleep. I’m guessing that’s why his ratings are not higher. I also think he doesn’t give a rat’s hiney, because that’s his thing: long quiet discussions with lots of giggling, punctuated by occasional craziness.

The occasional craziness is when he brings on guests like Norm MacDonald.

  • poljunkie

  • lauslausdeo

The Obamas, compassionate? The most powerful man in the world has got a 1/2 brother, George Obama, who still lives in a shack in Kenya! Michelle Obama puts her “compassion” on display at a food bank, while she bags food in $540 designer sneakers! Compassion is personal sacrifice– the Obamas freely take and spend other people’s money for stylin’ and jet-setting and buying votes but are tight-fisted when it comes to spending their own money to help even their own impoverished relatives! http://www.theblaze.com/stories/why-the-presidents-impoverished-brother-is-ashamed-of-the-name-obama/

  • http://twitter.com/ozziecastillo Stewie

The appearance of compassion matter more, to Leno, than the compassion a person would feel when provided with an economy that will allow him/her to get a job and become self-sufficient.

  • http://twitter.com/ChiTownMackyD Macky D

Dennis Miller has it exactly right!…Liberal in spots that our government needs to stay out of and conservative where its needs….I’ve always said it, Miller is the smartest man in the room…he puts guys maher and his ilk to same! He even schooled Leno on the biggest lie told in this election cycle….the “war on women”…a absolute joke of a statement!

  • ManfredtheWonderDog

Miller’s comments reflect the lessons learned and documented by Marvin Olasky in his book The Tragedy of American Compassion. This is a terrific and easy to comprehend history lesson on the degradation of the social safety net – how the change in our culture and view of man destroyed the effective method of caring for the poor. Read a review of Olasky’s book here: http://defendingcontending.com/2011/12/09/the-tragedy-of-american-compassion/

  • Rshill7

I like how he referred to Fluke as “Moan of Arc” :-)

    • poljunkie

      That was pretty funny!

  • HARP2

How can they have a war on women………when there is always to much fraternizing with the enemy.

    • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

      I thought it was espionage.

      • KenInMontana

        It’s subversion.

  • NJK

Jay’s very uninformed. I wish Dennis would bring up the fact that the left is welcoming with open arms, Bill clinton, who was accused of rape. Or how about years ago the Kennedy who was accused of rape by a girl on the beach? I think his name was, Michael Kennedy, he says it was consentual, and she said it was rape. Was that legitimate rape or not? All the media cared about was him not getting into med school. Of course he was excused.

  • steprock

Jay is 100% repeating the Dem talking points.

Other people work as hard as me. Obama said that.
GOP has a war on women. Obama said that.
Obama is a regular guy who cares. Obama loves that.

    Squawk! Obama loves you. Squawk!

Go Dennis. Common sense and funnier than Jay on his own show.

  • OldmanRick

All I can say is Wow! Dennis rocks.

  • badbadlibs

Now that was just plain fun to watch.
Btw, I would put Leno and the rest of the bo lemmings in the “clueless” catagory as well.
And oh, Leno, just exactly how much did you give to those people who work just as hard as you do but can’t catch a break? Did you give them the break out of your vast resources, or do you want the rest of us who live so far below your lifestyle to do your giving?
I wish Miller would have reminded Leno the difference in the percentage of giving between bo and Romney. bo is stingy, he wouldn’t even help his own brother….

  • FutureOnePercent

I love how all the positive things that he says about Obama are backhanded compliments that are all the things that Obama did that were just like Bush.

  • MiketheMarine

    FREAKING AWESOME.

Dennis Miller for President, since Romney is an idiot.

I’ll vote for Romney this time, but not next. The Third party of TEA needs to put Dennis Miller up in 2016.

    • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

I’d wait. His rants are epic, but Miller likes staying palsy-walsy with the Hollywood lefties, so he’s a big, “gay marriage” supporter, and often hammers Republicans for being too conservative. (Of course, he may have changed on those positions since I last heard him discuss them, and I’m too lazy to look that stuff up today.)

He’s a 9-11 convert, and a natural fiscal hawk, so he’s not voting for Obama. But I wouldn’t be shocked if it turned out he voted for Obama in 2008. I’d put money on him voting Gore in 2000, though.

  • stage9

Todd Aken was “saying what many believe” in the platform???

How many of you believe that a woman’s body can distinguish rape from other forms of intercourse?

I HAD NEVER EVEN HEARD ANYTHING like that before Aken made that comment, so how can I “believe it”??

    How ridiculous!

What we believe is that children shouldn’t be murdered because Sandra Fluke wants to be a more productive whore in college! THAT’S WHAT WE BELIEVE!

    • http://twitter.com/ozziecastillo Stewie

Agree about the accusation that it is part of the Republican platform. This was the first I heard of it when Akin hit the news.

We should apply the same standard to them and find some random idiot Democrat statement and apply it to their party leadership.

    • steprock

And it doesn’t matter that the GOP ran this man over with a truck. See, he confirms what they already believe, so facts be hanged.

  • ConservativeCool

Makes me wonder about his chances of getting invited back to Leno.

    • p m

They’re old pals and Dennis has been on many times, so we should have the pleasure again. Love that man.

everybody here thinks that was effective by miller? i thought that was weak at best. that was the perfect example of being put on defense and having to prove your party’s platform doesn’t hate women and the poor.

i’m thankful for miller but i think even he is kicking himself ove things he SHOULD have said. he had to play defense on a false narrative and failed in my opinion. speaks to the state we are in when we think that was a “just great.”

    • BeerPartyPatriot

I’ve heard Miller make identical comments on his radio show. If he “likes” the guy, he is not holding him accountable for running this country into the ground, and certainly not for putting us in harm’s way.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_JT6RK4NQME54FA3FVYTTHLTRTQ Southnsoul

I agree with you completely, Miller was weak and on the defensive. He should have blasted Leno for spouting the Democrat’s talking point that Republicans are conducting a “war on women,” which is a very serious charge, and demand Leno explain such an inflammatory statement. And as for Obama being more compassionate, he should have pointed out the fact that Obama’s compassion is leaving millions of people without a job.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/44F4AB4VSCTOCHBMBG4ZWWD5OU Laurel

I will say it…I dislike President Obama.

And No! that isn’t what the platform is. Leno is just another one of the ignorant masses that there is no excuse for. LOOK. IT. UP. LENO.

Yeah, I wish SiriusXM would pick him up and replace one of their lackluster talkies.

  • NHConservative0221

    How stupid is Leno??

    war on women??

Obama has waged a pretty good war on everyone! Look at the price of gas, food, and the fall in the housing market!!

Yet we’re supposed to pay for women who can’t keep their legs shut and want to kill the baby??

And why doesn’t ANYONE mention that obama wants to let babies die in dirty laundry room closets? That’s out of bounds right, while it’s ok to have the BS memo that the GOP is anti-women??

  • bobafett67

Miller should open for Romney the night Mitt accepts the GOP nomination.

  • stage9

Akin may have been right after all….

Akin not far off base in rape comment
    http://www.wnd.com/2012/08/akin-not-far-off-base-in-rape-comment/

    • http://www.lds.org/ carbonfootprints

Pregnancy due to rape 6%. Pregnancy due to one-night stand 3%.

      • KenInMontana

Percentages can be deceiving, considering that in the cases of “one nighters” the use of contraception comes into the equation and affecting the numbers. A more accurate and valid comparison would be to use the number of pregnancies from unprotected sex versus the number of pregnancies resulting from rapes. This would remove the flaw from your premise.

    • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

The reason he was wrong is that, mathematically at least, it is like deciding on which cancer treatment to use.

(Almost all cancer treatments help “cure” a small percentage of patients. But if they don’t cure enough, the treatment gets tossed. It could be a treatment that only saved 5% of the patient population, but would have saved your life, too. Now you are stuck with some treatment that saves 40% of the population; just not you.)

In other words, what Akin said was numerically stupid, like telling people not to take any cancer cures, because none of them work “all” the time.

It was beyond stupid of him to try and bring that up. Especially since he has not mastered the topic.

Fact: women all over the world get pregnant from rape, in incredibly significant numbers. It doesn’t matter that some are so traumatized they are spared the extra trauma of “being punished with a baby.”

It wasn’t a mere gaffe; It was a major meltdown.

That was great. Jay is drinking the cool aid like the rest of the liberals.

How the heck is Romney not passionate? He gives millions to charity yearly. Is Biden passionate with his $350 to charity? I make 1/4 of what he does for salary and I gave more than that to charity.

Jay needs a good stiff shot and pour the Cool Aid down the drain. Who cares what your fellow hollywoodites think?

  • msverde1

Mirrors of partial reflection: Milton Friedman in Dennis Miller. I cannot agree more with DM that the well for the clueless has run dry. Compassion is enacted upon those who ARE willing to do something productive, or at least try to be, with their lives and not toward those who consume the energies of others who are. Yes, the world is filled with gamers and unfairness. But to allow that to lead you down the path of reclusiveness because your hard work has not materialized into substantial gains yet should never be an excuse to forfeit your life over into someone else’s hand. Dust off, re-huddle, and run another play. You’ll never know when one will finally across the goal line. Always remember, failing a thousand ways to produce a light bulb, but only taking one to succeed is a motto to die for!

  • NanNJ

Obama is compassionate??? He shows compassion for one person only…himself. He could give 2 hacks for anyone else. Give me a break Leno, you just sounded like a complete dolt.

It’s hard to top a Miller rant.

Leno needs more Miller and maybe some Gutfeld, too, just to keep his ratings up. He took a pay cut so he could keep staffers employed… because nobody wants to watch NBC anymore, and Leno can’t pay all the bills himself.

Here’s a nice mental vacation break for you folks: how about we shop for our next retirement getaway. Like a fifth-wheel camper trailer, complete with …well, everything.

  • James Leung

I love Dennis, but I’m not a fan of the “help the helpless, forget the clueless” slogan.

I prefer saying: Calling people ‘helpless’ takes away their dignity as functional human beings. At what level of living standard shall we call someone helpless?

Poverty in the US is equivalent to royalty for 50% of the world population (my own guestimate) as well as virtually every civilization that have lived before us.

Where were the running hot water, heaters, fans, airconditioners, fast food delivery, flat screen tvs, brand name sneakers in the pre-1950s? Was every being in history all helpless?

I want to preserve the dignity of our so called “helpless”. Whatever life they make for themselves, it’s not up to me to say that’s not good enough.

    • http://twitter.com/08hayabusa 08hayabusa

You really should look up the meanings of words once in a while because the Progressives are very good at twisting their meanings.

      help·less
         [help-lis] Show IPA
      adjective
      1.
unable to help oneself; weak or dependent: a helpless invalid.
      2.
deprived of strength or power; powerless; incapacitated: They were helpless with laughter.

Adj. 1. clueless – totally uninformed about what is going on; not having even a clue from which to infer what is occurring
uninformed – not informed; lacking in knowledge or information; “the uninformed public”

Dennis’s meanings of these words are: Helping people who cannot take care of themselves and kicking the able-bodied to the curb who refuse to help themselves.

      • James Leung

        Thanks for the reply.

My thoughts are that the “helpless” category is so small, that they shouldn’t be the focus of a slogan. The word is something that can be manipulated to mean anything. An amputee for example, I would not necessarily consider helpless, because I have respect for his dignity and ability to do whatever it is they can do well.

We’re splitting hairs, but all I’m saying is that I believe a more effective argument could be made. Only my opinion.

Anyway, enjoyed watching Miller sticking it to Leno.

  • wodiej

  • friskyness

Yeah, Obama has really helped the helpless, by preventing them from getting jobs and keeping them on Welfare……..How is keeping people on Welfare, giving them a break? Leno is a useful idiot……….

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_Y2SLZRAVNFSN26JG24TIDW53E4 GibsonLP

First of all, you don’t get points for holding a gun to somebody’s head and forcing them to give their money to others. That’s not compassion, it’s extortion. It’s only compassion when you take it out of your own pocket and give it away.

I absolutely do NOT see how Obama has helped those who need it. I don’t see how his “compassion” has done anything to help anybody. We have gone from bad to worse during his occupancy and his slogan is “Forward”. What does that tell you?

  • aZjimbo

Dennis gets it. I always thought that leno was at least a decent guy for a liberal. But his comments just showed me he is another dumb ass liberal with the same old liberal talking points. leno is just another reason why I do not watch tv and waste my time.

  • http://teapartyreaganconservative.blogspot.com/ TeaPartyReaganConservative

Dennis Miller laid out the truth and Jay Leno tried but failed to dispell it.

Jay Leno’s usage of “compassion for the poor”, is a standard Liberal progressive marxist mantra, by which to attain political credibility to gain power and control, thus which is only a ruse for their hidden agenda.

Leno’s sad and pathetic attempt to justify Obama’s destruction of America, via his marxist inept incompetence leadership, is needless to say sad and pathetic..

Jay Leno, if you are not willing to see and acknowledge the truth of Obama and the radical far left’s corruption and destruction, then you are not better than those who commit the corruption and destruction.

What else is new with liberal drones..

  • kong1967

That was pretty funny, especially his response to the war on women….errr… the make believe war on women.

He got compassion in a nutshell. Doling out money unconditionally is not compassion, it’s naive. Help the helpless and screw the people that are gaming it. Eat out of a trash can if you aren’t willing to work and you are able.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/OOKK3KBK7M2DX5OKOV7ODZ3QTA Jay

Miller has a way with words, like George Carlin without all the vulgarity. However, people who think 0 is inept are dead wrong. He is systematically and deliberately dismantling the economy while using the Bill of Rights for toilet paper.

Ya know I have to say something. Jay questions Romney’s COMPASSION…..Romney just gave 4 Million dollars to charity….not sure but don’t non-profits usually “help” people…and wouldn’t that constitute compassion??? The left has nothing….nada. War on women…what women? Seriously??? I am so so so sick of it. I want this election to be over and I want Romney and Ryan in there bringing order back to this country.
