Ferguson protesters to illegally block interstate over Michael Brown shooting

The ridiculousness never ends in Ferguson as they are now threatening to block the interstate today if Nixon won’t appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Michael Brown shooting:

CBS ST. LOUIS – The Missouri State Highway Patrol is preparing for this afternoon’s threatened shutdown of Interstate 70, as groups protest Gov. Jay Nixon’s refusal to appoint a special prosecutor in the Michael Brown case.

“Unsafe and unacceptable”—that’s how the Highway Patrol characterizes any effort to physically block traffic on a highway, regardless of the cause. …

Sgt. Nothum tells KMOX News that they are working with the leadership of the group that is threatening to stop I-70 traffic this afternoon. …

The Highway Patrol is teaming up with police from St. Louis city and county to keep traffic flowing.

They’re advising motorists who don’t absolutely have to be in that area this afternoon to find an alternate route.

The protest is set to happen sometime after 3 p.m.
