Looks like the charges brought against Gates yesterday by Mueller has convinced him to plead guilty and perhaps cooperate with Mueller’s investigation into Robert Mueller:

Former Trump campaign official Rick Gates is set to plead guilty to criminal charges brought against him by special counsel Robert Mueller.
According to multiple news reports, Gates could plead guilty as early as Friday afternoon, which also signals he is ready to cooperate in Mueller’s investigation.
In a letter obtained by ABC News, Gates, who is 45-years-old with a young family, wrote to family and friends that “despite my initial desire to vigorously defend myself, I have had a change of heart.”
“The reality of how long this legal process will likely take, the cost, and the circus-like atmosphere of an anticipated trial are too much. I will better serve my family moving forward by exiting this process,” he explained.
It is unclear which of the charges against him he will accept.
While Gates is a former campaign aide, the charges brought yesterday don’t mention the Trump campaign or Russian collusion.
According to CNN, he’s pleading guilty to lying about a 2013 meeting to the FBI and a conspiracy to defraud the United States.
