I haven't read all the comments so this may have been said, but Henry J. said that the feds TOLD him that all these problems would go away if he would just move his manufacturing to Madagascar!
All of the nonsensical and cutesy replies notwithstanding, if a crime has been committed, why are there no charges? Is it just an attempt to burden the company into ruin? That sort of political chicanery is the standard MO for this corruption sodden administration and is quite plausible. This criminal cabal in the WH is comprised of the most vile, despicable, low-life vermin imagineable who will destroy anyone in their way to achieve their goals. I have a feeling this Gibson business and the new indictment of people involved in Medicare fraud are thin attempts to draw off attention from their disasterously stupid "Fast and Furious" travesty. It must require legions of brownshirts to keep track of all of the wrong doing being manifested by these disease-ridden, miserable wrtches.
Where did I get the idea the wood was from Madagascar? It's called East Indian Rosewood and can be found in several countries. Will have to do some legwork.
My son has a strat and doesn't even know how to play. I have a walmart special- cause all I can do is tune it. Now, if y'all wanna key board player, I'm yer duck!
Hugo Chavez a/k/a Obama is an anti-American communist traitor as are millions of other Democrats obsessed with funamentally transforming the America they hate so much and attacking their enemy, i.e. Americans. F. U. Democrats.
Please do a search on that name "Jax." I could use the hits on my Places page.

Martin's are REALLY pricey, so don't smash it. Just play some really cool conservative songs on it (Some of Rush's parodies will do) and that will exercise the liberal demons.
Amen. it also sends a message to the rest of American business. "Play by our rules or we will bring the hammer down on you."
At least you got us talking about the virtues of American business, that is beautiful!

Pot stirring is tiresome, I agree. We can't be too vigilant on the important stuff though... but I know I'm preaching to the choir.
I'm not sure on your point. Are you saying that the government didn't purposely allow drug runners to get weapons and those weapons weren't used to kill a Border Patrol agent? Or are you just mocking to mock with no real purpose. (I'm ok with that, just let us know so we all know you're just the guy in the back of the class who think everything's a joke.)
I hear what you're saying, and I appreciate your point that we might be wise to give the authorities the benefit of the doubt. I just simply disagree, here's why:
The government has just stolen (oh, I mean confiscated) one million dollars worth of supplies on to investigate Gibson's wood. This is after the Fed's stole over $100,000 of material in 2009. From everything I've read, Gibson still doesn't know exactly what it's being charged with. (The speculation is that it is an Indian law that isn't even being enforced by India, but that is only speculation.) - Where's due process?
I agree we are a nation of laws, but we are also a nation of due process. Gibson could receive the death penalty (go out of business) and then be found innocent.
Also, when does the Fed just get to come and trample on someone's property to protect a tree in India? Seriously? This is outside of it's authority in every way.
One other point. This is the same Federal Government who purposely murdered a Border Patrol agent because they allowed guns to be sold to Mexican drug dealers. this is one 1960's mantra I believe in:
QUESTION AUTHORITY.
I don't know what that means? If it takes one minute to assemble an iPad, then fifteen cents per item seems reasonable.
But the other question is, compared to what? If Apple didn't pay the Chinese fifteen cents per iPad those same Chinese would be off selling drugs or prostituting themselves. A country needs sweat shops so it's people can build the skills necessary for higher paying jobs. it's the same thing here in America, we just have the advantage of being uber-rich so we can start people at a higher wage. Having an American company, in China, paying employees the going rate for labor does more for US relations than Joe Biden at his stupid "good-will" tour ever could.
So no, I don't think the Fed government should decide how much companies should pay people to do a job. That's the company's business, not the Feds. And I don't think the Fed should (in this case, arbitrarily) enforce someone else's law.
I really gotta start reading ALL the comments before I comment. Sorry NYG, I had the same thoughts.
This brings back memories of all of those auto sale company closures- you know, only those run by republicans who donated to republicans? Can we expect more of this despicable behavior by dear leader? YES WE CAN.
... based on the comment in the article above, Martin (of martin Guitars) is a Demofag. "we take these laws seriously... blah, blah, blah." never use a gay Martin guitar again. Slimy.
First of all I disagree wholeheartedly with the premise that they are breaking the law. Why do you assume a law has been broken?
Having said that, what gives the Fed gov the right to shut down a company without due process to "investigate?" So the company goes out of business and they gov finds no wrong doing? Isn't that the definition of presumed guilt?
Also - the question remains, why is only Gibson being investigated? They are a non-union shop with a Republican owner. Can you say capricious?
Finally - why is it the Feds job to investigate and criminalize people with international (in this case, Indian) law? So should we charge Chinese people who are in America and have a second baby?
Sorry - this is wrong on so many levels. Get the Fed out of our lives!! PLEASE people, read a book. (Start with the Federalist Papers) The Feds are not our friends. They are the enemies of liberty. The purpose of America is an experiment in local, representative government, governed by the people. Not a Public Class dictating to the people how to conduct business. Wake up, because you're next.
