Fox News did a great job last night explaining the details of what actually happened on the night of the attack that cost the lives of our ambassador and three other Americans.

This is why I love Foxnews, as their advertising says fair, balanced, and unafraid. Fox has to be given all the credit for their excellent reporting. I am glad to hear that the top guy at fox the guy that started it all Roger Ailes is going to be at fox for at least 4 more years. Now if we just get Juan Williams, Geraldo, O’reilly, Beckel out it would just be perfect.

    • Susitna

I am with you. Beckel has to leave Fox News as every single comment from this guy is garbage and he never says something intelligent. When it comes to O’Reilly I cannot understand that his guy hasn’t done more to unveil the truth about Obama. If he would have open his mouth two years ago, Obama would have been the first 1/2 term President. Maybe he got a death threat, I don’t know…….
Juan Williams is bipolar and I am really mad at him since he said about Mrs. Ann Romney that she looked like a rich corporate wife who’s husband takes care of her.
And Geraldo, I mean he is just a show man sometimes left, sometimes in the middle and when it is convenient to the right.

      • Bettye Jo Martin

I cannot stand Bob Beckel. I change channels when he comes on. It is not because he is liberal, it is because he is obnoxious. He rarely looks anyone (including the camera) in the eye. I do not trust anyone who won’t look you in the eye.

I have been watching O’Reilly forever and he has become less and less apt to address controversial issues. I read an article some time ago (wish I had kept it) in which the writer said TV stations, etc. were threatened with losing their license to broadcast if their anchors or reporters discussed, or allowed their guests to discuss, certain questions about Obama.

        • Susitna

Thanks BJM, I understand now what is going on. But these guys should have told this to the public long time ago or look for other means to transmit what they know, like Glenn Beck is doing. Recently a high member of the NAACP got a death threat and he immediately went out and told that on radio. The White House had to pull back by saying that it was a miscommunication problem………..so there might be lots of miscommunication in Congress and Courts………

        • proudhispanicconservative

I hope you are wrong about the threats, but I think the threat to O’reill went something like this (Obama to O’reilly) “if you continue ripping me I will not grant you an interview so if you want to see me here in your show stop it”.

      • proudhispanicconservative

Amen, O’reilly is a fool that instead of looking at the country and seeing the damage done By Obama keeps on trying his best to make Obama look good, in an effort to land an interview with him, lets not forget that during the time that the talks for a stimulus was going on he was calling it a necessity. But people are catching up to him and I have been watching his ratings on the Drudge Report and O’reilly is now leading Hannity by like 100k viewers, so I do think his time as the dominator of the 8’oclock hour is coming to an end.

Wait just a moment, you cannot believe FNC because it’s affiliation with the GOP, it’s right wing. I’m waiting for the final say of the blue ribbon panel that this regime is famous for……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………and yes, I’m being sarcastic.

    • loriannringold

And don’t forget Gretchen Carlson who made a big deal out of what Hank Jr. said and twisted what he meant.

    • CPAguy

I like Juan. To be “Fair & Balanced” Fox has to have liberals. And Juan is certainly a reasonable liberal.

Beckel is just there to cause a scene, and Geraldo is just another one of Fox’s implausible time fillers along the lines of Imus and Lou Dobbs.

(I mean Imus! Imus?!!!?? For shame Fox Business…how do you all expect to compete with Bloomberg and CNBC with that weight holding you down?!)

      • Bettye Jo Martin

I refuse to watch Imus for the same reasons I refuse to watch Bob Beckel. I’m with you, CPA, I like Juan. As you say, he is a reasonable liberal. And, he looks you in the eye.

      • proudhispanicconservative

Sorry but I have to respond to your claim that Juan is fair, if you remember during the convention, when Ann Romney gave her speech, Juan was brought in to give his impressions and a fair analysis on the speech and he was asked what does he think about the performance and instead of giving his opinion on the speech he said “I am sorry she looked like a corporate wife whose claim to understand the struggles of American women fell flat”, while I do believe fox has to have liberals on the show they dont have to have hack jobs like Juan. Pat Caddel, Joe Trippi, Kirsten Powers are fair and balanced on their opinions. Juan Williams is a product of NPR and is not to be considered a fair analyst. Geraldo is another one, he appears to be the only person on earth that now still thinks that what happened in Benghazi was because of the video, so no he is not to be considered a fair analyst. Beckel is a fool that no matter what evidence is presented to him he will try to spin it to a liberal point of view. One last point is that my comment was about Fox News not Fox News Business network which still is in its infant stages.

was a good report. glad someone in the msm is trying to get the facts of benghazi out to the public, we deserve to know the truth.

    • proudhispanicconservative

If it wasnt because the persistence from fox and not letting this story die, the MSM wouldve just buried it, just to protect their great leader.

  • proudhispanicconservative

Where is the third segment scoop?

  • MaxineCA

I watched the show yesterday, and it was excellent. For those that missed it, it will replay tomorrow (check your local listings).

Heads up on another show I think will be great this evening on the subject “Justice with Judge Jeanine”. She is really on fire on this topic. Funny, yesterday (I think it was Fox and Friends) Geraldo (puke) was on spinning for O, of course. Next Judge Jeanine came on and said, she absolutely disagreed with EVERYTHING Geraldo had said.

    Should be a good show.

    • proudhispanicconservative

Setting my dvr as we speak.

  • sjmom

Greg Palkot did an awesome job. When I saw what they went through that night and then think about the govt refusing them security I know there must be a special place in Hell set aside for the administration.

    • Orangeone

But, but, but David Brooks, columnist from the New York Slimes, an expert himself (gag me) calls Benghazi #SmallForeignIssue and tells Romney to just move on, nothing to see here.

      http://dailycaller.com/2012/10/20/david-brooks-advice-to-romney-dont-nitpick-on-small-foreign-issue-of-the-past-benghazi/

      • warpmine

No MR. Brooks, it’s your side that votes for the cult of personality and a pretty face.

      • NeedMyCoffee

Well, that just adds further proof of how damaging this is to Obama.

Good rule of thumb for any republican candidate – always do the opposite of what David Brooks says.

      • sjmom

I saw that but did not bother to read it because El Rusho has educated me well about Mr. Brooks.

On Fox today Elliott Engel (D) congressman tried to convince everyone of the Obama line and blamed the Republicans for making an issue of Benghazi. This in the face of the docs released by State yesterday. Uma P on Fox kept saying but what about the 4 Americans who were killed and he never blinked an eye.

The Dems are cold, heartless beings and will do anything to get or retain power even betray the American people. I hope we not only have a Romney win but a 2010 result with the GOP also winning the Senate. We need to get rid of these people.

    • MaxineCA

Bret’s interview with Woods was particular moving. You could tell he was holding back tears talking about the situation knowing that if his security team had been allowed to stay, they could have made a difference and maybe no one would have died.

      • sjmom

Maybe they would have made the difference, maybe that’s why they were pulled out. Not saying that’s true but I will echo what I have asked from the beginning. Why pull out security in a dangerous place and leave people in harm’s way? I understand the Bolton narrative that it might show Obama’s foreign policy to have been wrong, but what if its more? Either way its about as bad as it gets.

The entire show was very good and I was screaming at PJ Crowley from my chair. His utopian view is not only naive but dangerous. Gotta get the Obama administration unemployed.

        • MaxineCA

From those of us that have been paying attention over the last several years, we know this isn’t failed foreign policy, nor is it naive…… it’s been a deliberate policy on O’s part from the beginning, as evidenced with his actions starting with his Cairo speech.

When we kick this traitor to the curb, he can take all of his muslim brotherhood buddies that have been allowed to infiltrate our government at all levels, with him.

          • sjmom

Even when he is kicked to the curb I want Obama tried for high treason. If you saw 2016 you know Obama is not an American but a globalist and his loyalties are not to the US.

  • http://navalwarfare.blogspot.com/ Libertyship46

I saw this special last night and thought it was great. Obama is faced with just two excuses now. Either he lied about the video and used it to coverup the fact that his policy in Libya is a complete disaster, or our intelligence services are so bad (including the CIA, NSA, and the State Department) that they are incapable of giving accurate intelligence to our political leaders. Neither is a very good option for the president to have. And for Joe Biden to already say that “We just didn’t know,” well, I guess you can see where the president will be going with this on Monday night. Romney should hit Obama with this, but he should also make the larger point that the whole adventure in Libya has been a failure and will continue to fail unless the current Libyan government gets some military help to assist it in controlling the country, which is now bordering on anarchy. And in an eleciton year, I doubt that Obama will want to place boots on the ground to insure the safety of the Libyan government. What a mess.

    • warpmine

Mitt should bring that 3 AM phone with him on top of that

      • Orangeone

        And Ft Hood

        • freenca

Fox is featuring the Fort Hood victims tape and some of the survivors today. I’m so glad they picked up on right scoop’s lead on it that more people will see that very touching tape and have the opportunity to hear the truth about that tragic attack on our servicemen and women.

          • Orangeone

            Sweet, thanks for posting!

      • freenca

I was thinking the same thing. As his former opponent had predicted, the 3AM call came and BO wasn’t there, then he left the building for deniability ?, and it seems as if his former opponent wasn’t there either. Epic fail!- BAM and BAM! Time to kick them both down a notch, or 86 them all!

  • BHliberty

So…….I guess Obama has to go to Camp David and study up on how he’s going to worm his way through this tragedy! I bet the third debate will be the most intense yet! Don’t think Romney is going to let him off the hook with this one! Nor should he!

    • BHliberty

Ohhhhh loooookie…….Chris Matthews is crying cause his man is being attacked and now claims its unconstitutional to attack the president!

Are you flippin kidding me? I really don’t think CM is a stable man! No, really!

      • conservocop

Chris Matthews = Howdy Doody on drugs !!! What a blathering freak !!

    • Orangeone

He is coordinating with Bob Schieffer. It will be evident on the Sunday talk show.

    • conservative58

We can probably predict what Obama will have to say at the debate regarding Benghazi….

      — “I take offense that you (Romney) would accuse me or my staff of not caring!”
      — “We are still investigating this matter.”
      — “I take full responsibility that Hillary dropped the ball.”
      — “It was not your (Romney) place to speak on behalf of the American people since you did not know the facts.”
      — “We acted based on the intelligence we received.”

And finally, after Benghazi, I have no doubt that Obama will gloat…
      — “I (emphasis on “I”) killed Bin Laden!!!!”

  • DINORightMarie

Woah – great!! But what about the rest?! This is very compelling. Can you add the other segment(s)?

I’m not sure why it is said Stevens was tortured, dragged through the streets, etc. given this timeline. As more is learned about the actual events on the ground, it will be fascinating to find out if these rumors/other reports are true, and how they fit this timeline.

  • BikerHoop

I’ve been obnoxiously angry at the current mis-administration since this happened. Their attempted cover-up did nothing but exacerbate it. Then I find out there was a drone directly overhead and they could have had help there in an hour… and didn’t. Now this! Everyone in this administration who had anything whatsoever to do with this debacle needs to be arrested and prosecuted… starting with DuhOne!

  • http://twitter.com/extremelyright Eagle Eye

Some scary things about liberal ideology:

    1. Say whatever you like, and simply hope you’ll get away with it.

    Libya. What a gong show.

THANK YOU to Fox news for being the primary venue for reasonable thought, for years now. I shudder to think what America would be like without Fox.

The “liberal utopia” – in their minds – keeps ending up in reality as a concrete wasteland of misery, graffiti, looting, anarchy, turf wars, boarded-up windows, with the sound of sirens at all hours of the day, drifting through the chilly winds in a gray land of sobbing people huddled together in fear.

    2. Do whatever feels right in the moment, as opposed to considering the consequences.

    The national debt…

I know someone who’s academically bright – but a liberal – I asked her about the US debt. Does it “matter” to liberals? after all, it seems like it’s “just numbers”. I proposed that if she racked up all her credit cards… would it “matter”?

Most of us here realize that liberalism is a mental disorder.

However, being divisive and polarized isn’t a long term solution. The result is simply Us vs. them. That could eventually lead to class warfare, envy and civil war.

How do we convert people to our way of thought? how do you convert fundamentally emotional individuals into logical ones?

    • freenca

With patience and repeated facts and the Constitution and Bill of Rights, gently and quietly usually works best for me. Some of them just won’t listen though.

  • odin147

Why were they there when the British weren’t ?. If they are there why no extra security esp. on 9/11 ?, Why blame the video ?, When did the one know ?, the most important question, do the Obama voters care ?.

  • poljunkie

Maybe Gov Romney should bring a projector/screen monday night and say I need 9 min, and show this…..

After all Obama got 4 min extra in the first debate and 5 in the second, right?

    :-)

    • Orangeone

Could he also use another 14 minutes to show the Ft. Hood victims speaking?

  • colliemum

Great to have the timeline laid out.

The one point which puzzles me, and which was not addressed in these first two segments is where the ex Navy SEALs come in.
They were not ‘security’ forces, they came, AFAIK, with the people from the Annexe, even though it was not the job they were in Benghazi for.
I read somewhere (can’t remember where) that without them the people from the Annexe couldn’t have withdrawn,They paid with their lives so that these others could live.

I hope there’s more in the following segments.

  • http://twitter.com/RMH2345 Honey Boo Boo

This was excellent journalism. Bret Baier is phenomenal.

  • http://twitter.com/RMH2345 Honey Boo Boo

Remember the near death beating that Greg Palkot and his camer man took while in Egypt?

    • conservocop

Today the reports came through that Egypt is asking Iran to help them build a nuclear weapon; and Obama would have us believe that democracy is on the move in the middle east. Not !! The middle east is coalescing into a war-mongering monster who’s very first intention is to innhilate Israel. Obama’s policy of appeasment in the middle east is a complete failure and Benghazi amplifies this fact. I expect Obama will do everything he can Monday night , with an assist from from Sheiffer, to navigate away from th foreign policy thread as often as he can.

  • ssenecal5000

Wait a minute. You mean they left Stevens behind for hours , he was still alive when they locals found him. In fact, it seems there was no attempt to get retrieve Stevens after the one guy climbs onto the roof.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_IDAKYMXLZIRLMLGEZJXV3AOO7E Vorlath

They did. They went in over and over and only found one guy who was already dead. They stayed as long as they could and then went to the other compound.

  • PicklePlants

Thank you Fox News. This is the first comprehensive begining to end synopsis of that terrible night I have seen. I just heard on the radio, an AP report I believe, that some alleged eyewitnesses are now coming forward to say there was a protest going on prior to the attack. Now why do I mistrust these “new” eyewitnesses?

Thanks too for posting this Scoop. I did not see it when it aired. Once again validating my near constant review of this site.

  • loriannringold

:) loved it. Fox is good when it comes to their documentaries

  • INEEDACOUNTRY

You know, I hope Mitt says all that about the drone cameras watching these people getting RAPED (why do middle east men rape men in combat for torture?) and slaughtered and no help being sent.

Really OBUMMER, no help sent to AMERICAN when you couod have?
Where were you, having a beer or on the golf course?

It woud sink OH-uh-oh right into the socialist/commie hole he crawled out of.

My friend was from IRAN, and he told me Iranian soldiers and Iraqi soldier were really into raping the enemy?

    Why is that, to humilate?

I don’t think AMERICANS are going to accept this if it is really true these 4 were tortured like that!!!!

Gonna take more than a drone strike day before election to satisfy people like me and I would not vote this trash back in to save my life.

I will never vote for TYRANNY, this is not Germany or Italy or something.
WE have a little more “true grit” in us than that!

  • INEEDACOUNTRY

I saw this today, the story is morphing again, and WH is tryig to launch now ideas there was a MOB of protesters to go along with new MEME about OBOZO saying terror ( you know the CANDY fiasco).

They keep moving the goal post folks, folks.

PROGRESSIVES, there is nothing thay will do to hold on to power.

They (progressives) know this time we are on to them, and may never get BACk into power.

I am still perplexed how REID got elected again, in NEVADA, against anybody no knock on that lady Sharon. I actually liked her SPUNK, and she was a HARD LINE CONSERVATIVE, that would be cool in the SENATE to see ONE.

  • Shery Hancock

On freerepublic the other night they had the complete transcript and Lt. Col. Hunt explaining what was going on and where as everything was going down. He explained that there would be people listening in at several forward operating sites (we were stationed at one of them before we retired a couple years ago) around the globe, as well as Panetta, Obama, Clinton, Dempsey, etc. For them all to concoct such a hare-brain story, thinking that everybody would believe it is incredible. So glad that FOX has come out with this. Just waiting to see what The One will say on Monday night, especially since the LA Times and others are saying that they think evidence exists to support the video theory. Some people would die to maintain their lie rather than accept the truth, and to that end, many will do just that.

  • http://profiles.google.com/ajtelles Art Telles

    The rest of the story…

I’m waiting for Fox and the rest of the American media, tv, print and radio, to report the rest of the story, starting with WHY Ambassador Stevens was in Bengazzi…

… ’cause the embassy is NOT in Bengazzi.

Glenn Beck on TheBlaze TV has been dealing with this seminal point since the day AFTER 9-11-12.

    Hint…

… for those who don’t like Glenn Beck and only get their news from Fox and et alli, it has to do with supplying weapons to the so-called Muslim Brotherhood friends of BHObama and Ambassador Stevens was the get-it-done conduit who was trying to get the weapons BACK into U.S. hands.

    Art

    • MaxineCA

Art, with all due respect, we don’t have to rely on Glenn to get our info. Don’t get me wrong, I loved him when he was on Fox, and actually planned my days around his show making sure I could watch everyday, after I lost my job and had time to pay attention. He sure as heck opened my eyes.

Fox has done some fantastic reporting on Benghazi from the very beginning. For goodness sakes….. none of us thought the “embassy” was in Benghazi, we all knew it was an out lying consulate as well as the weapons angle. Love Glenn, but he got too deep into the political opinion area for me. I preferred it when he was the historian and educator.

      • http://profiles.google.com/ajtelles Art Telles

        Ok…

The point is not that viewers thought the embassy was in Benghazi.

The point is that WHY was Ambassador Stevens IN Benghazi… and who was his contact?

Glenn is doing seminal reporting that seems to be picked up by the rest of the media… eventually.

        Art

  • aZjimbo

Just another bump in the road for barry and the gang.

  • Stuart Miller

Where is the followup to the reports that Amb. Stevens was sodomized before and after his murder? I guess it can’t be reported because it might inflame anger against “the religion of peace?”

  • http://tinyurl.com/wwsotu Wolfie

The more I learn, the angrier I get. The NYPost has a good article* which details some of the options our military could have taken if only we had a real MAN in the WH who’s heart was true American instead of the Muslim Loving Manchild we’re stuck with until Nov 6th!

    ==Partial quote from NYPost article:
The United States had an unmanned Predator drone over its consulate in Benghazi during the attack that slaughtered four Americans — which should have led to a quicker military response, it was revealed yesterday.

“They stood, and they watched, and our people died,” former CIA commander Gary Berntsen told CBS News.

The network reported that the drone and other reconnaissance aircraft observed the final hours of the hours-long siege on Sept. 11 — obtaining information that should have spurred swift action.

But as Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three colleagues were killed by terrorists armed with AK-47s and rocket-propelled grenade launchers, Defense Department officials were too slow to send in the troops, Berntsen said.

“They made zero adjustments in this. You find a way to make this happen,” he fumed.

“There isn’t a plan for every single engagement. Sometimes you have to be able to make adjustments.”

The Pentagon said it moved a team of special operators from Central Europe to Sigonella, Italy — about an hour flight from Libya — but gave no other details.

Fighter jets and Specter AC-130 gunships — which could have been used to help disperse the bloodthirsty mob — were also stationed at three nearby bases, sources told the network.

  • conservativemama

Great special. I cannot imagine the last moments of life for the ambassador and the others that were murdered.

And Obama didn’t seem to miss a beat. The man is so cold. It’s scary.

  • 1neteffect

The attack on the Embassy in Cairo began at approximately 11:30 AM local time. From that time on the responsible agencies of government should have been on maximum high alert. The attack on the consulate in Benghazi began at approximately 9:30 PM a difference of 10 hours.

It’s common knowledge Libya is a lawless, unstable, highly volatile area where lawless individuals and groups are in possession of heavy weapons. The CIA operatives there were in the process of trying to recover some of the 20,000 shoulder launched antiaircraft missiles which are unaccounted for since the war in Libya.

The Libyan mission was probably the most vulnerable target in the region due to the lax security. Once the attack on the Embassy in Cairo began prudence would have demanded the Libyan mission be given a top priority and steps taken to ensure the mission was protected in the event of an any attack. Given the inadequate security arrangements at the mission military and other security assets should have been mobilized and put into place which could respond in a timely way to repel any assault. They had 10 hours to make these arrangements. The failure to do so is a reflection of total incompetence.

You have to wonder how these people from the president on down have the nerve to collect their pay.
