I’ll watch this in a minute – but just want to say Thank You, rightscoop, for putting this up!

Btw – Dr Ben Carson got over 16,000 followers in the brief time he opened his twitter account yesterday!

  • LastMomStanding

Glad that Hannity is spotlighting Dr. Carson. Thanks, RS, for posting.

  • JRD1

Thank you Scoop. I wasn’t able to watch it last evening. I appreciate you posting this.

  • colliemum

I’m a bit over 60% through – and I really admire Dr Carson.
One thing he has – which politicians usually don’t – is a lovely sense of humour.

His serenity, his clarity, they are all founded on his living faith.
Why is he not an icon for the black community?

    • Patriot077

Why is he not an icon? I have wondered that about Thomas Sowell, also. Ben Carson reminds me a lot of Sowell. Both portray brevity and clarity of thought and word about even the most complex issues.

I’ll have to buy Carson’s book and put it with my Sowell collection 🙂

      • colliemum

        Good point about Thomas Sowell!
He, Dr Carson, and others not unknown on this site are outstanding examples of MLK’s dream – that it is the content of the character which matters, not the colour of their skin.

Yes they are and I feel they espouse the same beliefs that the majority of Americans do. We are not racists though there are still some folks that are bigoted. We want equal opportunity and equal justice under the law for everyone; justice in the U.S. was always intended to be blind. Now, the criminal gets more empathy than the victim.

Patriot077, I went to Barnes & Noble this morning early to see about buying his book, “America the Beautiful”, and they told me it was sold out & on back order from the publisher and they didn’t know when it would be in.

        Way to go!

I noticed how Hannity asked him about who he thought amongst current politicians was doing good stuff. He mentioned Marco Rubio and my governor, Bobby Jindal.

I know Hannity is trying to promote Rubio for 2016 for Republican Party presidential candidate but quite frankly neither of those two as good as they are can hold a candle to the good doctor.

I think all of us should be storming heaven with prayer that the good Lord will grab the good doctor by the collar and throw him into this fight for our nation as a presidential candidate, either as GOP or 3rd party or as independent.

I wondered why Amazon indicated it would not be delivered for a month or so. That is typical for pre-order but this one was released in late January.

About him running for president, I think I would like his voice to be prominent but not as an elected official. He could be a strong voice about reforming free market medical insurance and many other national issues.

He has been doing so much good with education, that I would rather see him focus his efforts there. I think he could untangle the federalization of our public education system.

(I say this after watching a couple of youtube videos of him addressing school children. Watching the expressions on their faces confirmed how deeply they were engaged in the message he was imparting).

          • fletch92131

            Patriot077,
I also agree that rather he not run for office, as I feared that the similar circumstances to Herman Cain will occur, whether or not there any skeletons in his closet. Skeletons can be invented, of course. I agree with you also something like education would be a good place for him to, particularly distance learning and other online types.

            • Patriot077

I’d like to see him get some God and the Golden Rule back into our brick & mortar schools too. Even atheists benefit from the strengths of a moral society.

There are Godless individuals in black communities just as their are Godless white people. We need to reach people’s hearts when it comes to faith. We also need to bring back our Lord to schools and communities. I think people are hungry for someone like Dr. Carson. A leader.

  • Listen children, this is the first day of school. There is a monster current living in our White House and I have been writing for The Tea Party for the last three years to no perceivable avail. Marco Rubio is much smarter than folks realize at first blush and he is the best salesman that conservatives have in our current batting order. Now in the on deck circle appears Dr. Benjamin Carson with his bat. They are my dream team. They both speak softly and carry a big stick and they both have class Obama can only dream about. Here is what I wrote last night about Senator Rubio’s State Of The Union Address. Of course Marco Rubio’s SOTU response was no failure as some have muttered. He is that rarest of all politicians, one who understands salesmanship. We conservatives are selling the product of our beliefs and we are presenting them to a scary Marxist. I learned years ago that there are two ways to express something that frightens the opposition: aggressiveness and assertiveness. If your opponent is 6 ft. 6 and ready to tear your head off you can be aggressive in your approach and end up dead in some alley. Or you can learn the three steps of assertiveness: #1 Sum up the situation…which Rubio did nicely without yelling #2 Tell how this makes you feel using terms like angry, disappointed, depressed, afraid, mad, glad… and #3 tell your opponent what you would like to see happen to address step #1 and #2. You may notice that nowhere have you accused your dangerous opponent of anything. That is the magic of Marco. So, I am promoting Ben Carson and Rubio for out next standard bearers. Check all this out on Facebook/Jimmy Travis and on The Tea Party websites, and many digital conservative sites. Thank you for your time.

If that’s you scenario, how about Allen West Sec of Defense, and Mark Levin AG.

“We have to create the debate again”: that is the take-home message for everybody, I think.

  • West/Carson 2016

    • Don

I second that emotiom, AbC. Can you imagine Biden and Carson in a VP debate? Dr. Carson would expose Biden for being the babbling fool he has always been. Colonel West is the type of leader this nation desperately needs. What the RINOs did to him in November is just one of the many reasons there will never be another RINO elected to national office.

      • Don, this truly would be my dream ticket. I love both, and both too are strong men of faith and such common sense. It’d be amazing! We SO need real leadership, and I can think of a lot of folks I like, but these two men are tops with me. And I agree on the rino deal. That was a disgrace what they did to Col. West.

    • JohnCraven

As much as I like Palin, West, Rubio, Jindal, Bachmann and Herman Cain, all of them are second fiddles compared to Dr. Carson.

It was only he who dared to take on everything that Obama believes in and promotes and reject it point by point brilliantly in Nero Ceasar Obama’s face in front of Obama’s wife, the Cleopatra of our times, and with only the armor of God as his shield.

What absolute courage that was for Dr. Carson to do that! And with such wit and humor and grace and tranquility that could only come from Divine Providence.

Dr. Carson is at the top of the class with no peers when it comes to taking on Obama in Obama’s face.

Putting him as second fiddle in 2016 would be to hide his light under a bush.

The rest of them with the exception of Herman Caine and maybe Bachmann, have plenty more time ahead of them to run for president but it is with Dr. Carson that we can change the entire direction of the debate in this country very quickly.

We are today before the greatest combat that mankind has
ever seen. I do not believe that the Christian community has
completely understood it. We are today before the final
struggle between the Church and the anti-Church, between
      the Gospel and the anti-Gospel.

      • I agree, but Allen West has also spoken out a lot against communist and islamic ideologies that are rampant in the democrat party, and has spoken of his Christian faith as well. Both men in my mind are awesome, and as much as I respect Dr. Carson, Allen West has served in the Military and to me, we need a CIC who has served so our troops can know and have confidence in their CIC again.

When Hannity has alive audience, he always has a great show because the offer fantastic input.
Dr. Carson was great and not afraid to answer any questions. He is a true success story and the Left hates him. GOOD!
Makes me love him even more.

    • badbadlibs

It was a good show. The only thing that bothered me was that Dr. Carson seems naïve and perhaps not aware of the vicious tactics of the left?
When he said they wouldn’t be able to find anything hidden in his past I wanted to remind him the left doesn’t need to find anything.
The left will make it up, drag Gloria Allsatan out and she’ll drag out any number of minions to back up her lies, if that doesn’t work, they’ll keep throwing muck until something sticks. I worry for him the way I should have worried for Andrew Breitbart.

      • notsofastthere

That can be true, but Dr. Carson is not attempting to be anything other than himself. He may just be able to ignite people to rediscover their common sense.

      • tinlizzieowner

The Obama ‘machine’ is working overtime right now trying to get ‘something’ on this guy. He, like Col. Allen West and Herman Cain, is dangerous to their ‘dogma’.

        • badbadlibs

The machine will think nothing of doing whatever it takes to rid themselves of men of integrity. The “machine” lives to lie and will hold nothing back in these last days. God protect the very lives of those men and their families.

It never ceases to amaze me the way Snopes trys to take things apart. They call it ‘a mixture’ (of true and false). Apparently, there is more than on version of this speech. The words differ slightly, the context is exactly the same. By the time you get down to the bottom, there is only one question left to ask, the original one. Did Paul Harvey recite this on the air Snopes, True or False? TRUE, no ‘mixture’ about it.

        • badbadlibs

Picture if you will, something along the lines of: Cain & Carson as Prez and Vice Prez, West as SecDef, and Alonzo Rachel replacing the current spokesbrat as press secretary, and Rubio replacing Hairy Reid running the Senate……that line-up came to me yesterday as I was shoveling snow, and I smiled, thinking of the Progressives heads collectively exploding from coast to coast……..

    • colliemum

No – let Ted Cruz run the Senate, and have Sarah Palin run Foggy Bottom: she’d get rid of the lefty dead wood and the MB and their acolytes in no time flat.
And she’d scare the pants off all enemies, especially the jihadists across the M.E.. Also, she’d have Putin eat out of her hand!

    • What amazes me, is that we the people keep coming up with (dreaming of) who we’d love to see leading- any combo of West/Palin/Carson/Cruz/Cain/Zo/Levin/Bachmann and others, yet the rinos keep on setting up their little round table discussions to figure out “how can we make more people like us”.
It makes me kind’a sick to think about the amazing people that we have- not to mention others like Dan Bongino, Chris Fields (who ran against Ellis in Minn.) there are many quality Constitution loving conservatives out there, and we need to support them and keep pushing their names so they will get the call to run.

Carson is stunning. He’s smart, he’s perceptive, and he is apparently wise like a serpent in the face of the culture Marxist’s brain child, political correctness.

No skeletons eh! That would be awesome… definitely a prerequisite in the face of these execrable Democrat filth mongers.

    • las1

Answer: “Apparently, that’s what the book says. But it will take a lot more time to get America out of the mess that Mr. Obama and his culture wreckers have put it through. Next question.”

      • YAY!

        • las1

Just imagine… a team like Carson/West. JUST IMAGINE!

Democrat Plantation inmates all over America would commit suicide. They wouldn’t know whether to go to the loo or fill their pants on the spot. Their brains would not be able to process what they used to formerly process according to the dictates of the Democrat Party leftist wind baggery. Who would Chris Matthews have left to call racist? Democrats all over America and the Afro-American Grievance Industry would melt down on the spot.

    • Patriot077

In every speech he makes he takes his skeletons out of the closet and shows them to the audience. He makes no bones about his wrongdoings: Attempting to stab his friend, attempting to hit his mother over the head with a hammer, almost putting out a kid’s eye by throwing a huge rock in his face ….
it doesn’t get much grimmer than that. Fortunately his prayers were answered when he asked God to control his temper as he could not.

He seems very confident that he’s lived a clean life since and God bless him for his work and his patriotism. I’m not sure I like all of his solutions but I feel like his heart is in the right place and his message is just what the Doctor Ordered for America.

Down with PC! Up with Truth.

      • JohnCraven

Patriot077 you are absolutely correct, he doesn’t hide his skeletons in a closet, especially when he speaks to young people. He goes out of his way to let people know how horrible he really was before he shocked himself when he almost stabbed his friend and went home and hid in the bathroom for several hours with the Bible and discovered the Book of Proverbs which spoke to his deepest problems and he came out a completely changed person.

It was like a Damascus experience in many ways.

As far as not knowing whether you like all his solutions to every problem, I don’t think that is something to be concerned about since I think what the Good Doctor is trying to do is start a dialogue which will lead to good solutions.

In his Penn State Conversations video, he talks about how he decides on which patients to operate on by asking 4 basic questions about what is the prognosis for the patient if nothing is done and what is the prognosis if something is done and then what can be done and what can’t be done – I don’t remember exactly how he worded them but after he asks those basic questions then if he decides to operate, other questions then follow.

I think any solutions he would decide upon would be after a significant investigation in to whatever the problem is but he is obviously not someone who will take forever to make a decision because a patient’s life is at stake and the patient may not have long to survive without an operation. By my estimate, Dr. Carson has done somewhere between 10,000 and 17,000 operations during his career. He has said that in his early years he did around 500 a year and has “cut back” in recent years to 300 or so.

He is not one to dilly dally about making decisions but he does thoroughly investigate the matter at hand before making a decision.

So that should alleviate many concerns about the solutions he proposes especially since he encourages dialogue on our problems.

I just mentioned the fact in another post that I worry Dr. Carson is being naïve if he thinks the left needs to find anything in his past to exploit.
As I mentioned, they will drag out the queen of hate and lies, Gloria Allsatan and make things up and she’ll have her filthy minions behind her to pay off so they will agree.
The media will lap it up and report it as truth.

      • fletch92131

        badbadlibs,
I worry about exactly the same thing, it doesn’t have to be true, only printable/on TV.

  • Kordane

If Obama had his utopian communist dictatorship, just as he has always desired, then he’d have just had Benjamin Carson taken out back and shot through the head.

I don’t doubt, even for a moment, that Obama has put Benjamin Carson on his “enemies list”, as a target for execution when he implements his communist vision for America.

    • las1

Yeah, but his list will be one hellofa long list once people really begin to wake up. And what Obama’s got planned and when he proceeds to implement it all, he will definitely begin to wake them up. It won’t be pretty, but grumpy people awakened from their sleep seldom are.

      • Kordane

The problem is that you can’t wake people up who are pretending to sleep, and that’s probably the largest segment that the population falls into, since you have a lot of folks out there who sense that things are getting bad, but they choose to focus inward on their own lives and careers, rather than focus outward and actually do something to fight these bad things.

I know from my own experience that a lot of people I talk to just don’t want to know about anything outside the little box that is their lives, and certainly not politics, which they get irritable at the mere mention of. It’s extremely tough to deal with such apathetic people.

        • las1

Once people are thrown into a crisis, they unceremoniously get dumped out of their apathy onto the cold hard floor. Face slaps from reality can suck… even for the dumbest.

          • johnfromjersey

            Exactly!

  • Since Obama care started being an agenda of this administration, I have been watching the decline of the well being of my physician colleagues and myself as we struggle to continue to provide our patients with the same quality of care we take pride in. Do people understand the Starling curve where efficiency peaks, plateaus then declines? Do people not believe that medicine is an art and not a machine? Doctors are not computers, we are human beings caring for human beings. I am not surprised there is a nationwide shortage of primary care physicians. I became a physician because I wanted to take care of people. It took a lot of time, effort, sacrifice and resources. Why would anyone with a good mind go into medicine these days when every autonomy is being taken from him/her?

Thanks Scoop, cannot get enough of this man and his soft-spoken brilliance!

  • Dr. Carson is the opposite of Obama. Obama uses our country’s unique diversity to divide us and therefore control us. Obama is “Divider in Chief” and “Blamer in Chief”, and a person who infuses complexity and regulation as a means of control and pursuit of crony capitalism. Dr. Carson does not have that agenda. He wants to solve problems by maximizing the potential of the individual.

  • Patriot077

Fantastic interview and panel questions. Thank you so much for posting it for us, Scoop.

  • Jaels_Song

I loved it when he said that the media could “dig for dirt,” but they won’t find any. Lovely man. This interview kept me captivated throughout. Dr.Carson has excellent ideas that would work. Carson makes Obama look the little petulant-peon-pipsqueak that he is. It is said that Obama is an intellectual. Dr. Carson puts that fallacy completely to rest.

  • poljunkie

I realize he is a pediatric surgeon. But wouldn’t he be amazing to have as your Doctor? Until he decides to move on to larger things?
In my 50+ years there have only been a few medical professionals that I have really connected with.

Our son was born very premature, and so we hadn’t even determined who would be his pediatrician. We were assigned one in the NICU. We lucked out. He was the best ever, and even after leaving the area years later, we stayed in touch- and he took out an “ad” in our sons HS yearbook to congratulate him.

He was a Japanese American and was humble…He was interned at Angel Island near San Francisco. During WWII. He practiced medicine with such a kind heart, and he was so knowledgeable. The kind of Doctor that calls you to see how you are feeling.

    • nibblesyble

Praise the Lord you got that wonderful doctor for your son. Thanks for sharing!

  • opinionatedhermit

It would be a great thing to have such a skilled Doctor, one with Dr. Carson’s well of never ending love, as Speaker of the House.

Especially, given the nightmare of Obama care.

But, alas, as Republicans … we get John Boehner…..

    Oh, boy. Lucky us.

  • cabensg

Dr. Carson has a lot of the right answers but his special interest in education is very telling. He knows that’s one of the most necessary first steps to turning things around. Of course insisting there be a conversation is also vital. We can be very thankful he’s stepping forward to speak out and that it makes total sense in every way. So many times those who do step forward to speak are still caught up in government being the answer. Let’s hope he inspires many more who are now in the private sector to come forward speak out and run for office so we have people like him to represent us.

I like this guy a lot but I can’t help but see the irony in his Prayer Breakfast speech about not muzzling our speech..and not being politically correct..and his refusal here to state who he voted for. That seems contradictory to me and I question why he would hesitate to be bold and open about that.

    • 57thunderbird

      Good point.

    • aPLWBinAK

I too noticed that, and was a little curious about it.

    • cabensg

He’s against everything Obama’s doing and has done. He said (I paraphrase) ” I tend to align myself with parties that do good for the country. So he gives a speech at the prayer breakfast calling out Obama on just about everything and you still wonder who he voted for.

    • OHJan

Maybe because he wants to unite our country, not divide it? America has become so partisan that as soon as he confirms his vote, half of the country will hate him and not listen to a word he says because they hate the party he voted for. Seems like he is an Independent for that same reason.

    • tinlizzieowner

Interesting. The exact same post with 2 different screen names with the note ‘This message was anonymized by its previous owner’, under ‘Guest’.

What’s up Tamara? Not interesting in owning up to your ‘one’ post on this site? 😉
It seemed fairly apparent to me by the message of his speech, who he ‘didn’t’ vote for. 😉 😉

He made it known without saying the name. I don’t understand how the exact mention of the name is making him “politically correct or muzzled speech”.
There are things that can and should remain private without being contradictory to these kind of principles. 🙂

I hate to break this to you dear but who you (or I) vote for in nobody’s business. That’s why you vote by secret ballot and don’t sign your name to it. 😉

  • Awesome man !!! I highly recommend people watch this !!!

  • Dr. Carson sounds wonderful. But will his views be heard by the republican or democratic party? Will they twist his ideas into something totally different?

But Dr. Carson is right about this country crumbling from within by the pc and special interests like the trial lawyers assoc. (to cite one example).

  • c4pfan

Thanks scoop! I am glad that Dr. Carson has decided to start speaking out and hope there is more to come!

  • Hey! Rove! Are you paying attention?! Do you understand what “electable” means?

  • If Ben Carson runs for president, I would vote for him in a heartbeat.

  • Like Herman Cain, the right wing embraces any black person with any success or education that is willing to say anything bad about the president. That’s why they are swarming around a guy they’d never have over to their homes. These educated black men need to realize how they are being used. In the interview with “Hates Me Some Black Man Hannity” Dr Carson goes on and on about political correctness and free speech…This on a Network that is constantly pushing a “Science is Fantasy” agenda. Dr. Carson should be ashamed of himself and I’d debate President Obama’s policies with him…ANYWHERE…ANYTIME.

    • William Woodward

Nonetheless, his message remains one full of truth and clarity. His message is not one that a “left” leaning news outlet would give airtime without attempting to denigrate the message and the messenger, so he took the message where it would be received and heard. The fact that Fox News and its shows have been and remain number one shows speaks to a logical conclusion – that a majority of the American citizenry watch Fox programming. Dr. Carson is smarter than you realize, Ken. Try not to be so filled with self-destructive cynicism.

    • JohnCraven

I think Dr. Carson would be happy to debate you and make mince meat out of you and your foolishness and your racism and your elitism and your know-nothing-ism about anything.

    • PVG

Listen again to the part about an educated populace, that includes you Ken!

    • iaintlyin

Yeah, good observation (as the sarcasm drips) . But Ken, whats your opinion of the left using Obama? Are you saying he is actually their messiah as advertised? The creepy side latched onto a minority for the same reason you suggest about Carson and the right. You Ken, are as guilty of one sided thinking/vision as those you throw your finger at.

    • tinlizzieowner

“That’s why they are swarming around a guy they’d never have over to their homes”.

How would you know who comes to my home? Bigot.
How would you know what ‘color’ my friends are? Bigot.
Take your racist ‘oreo-speak’ someplace else.

    • fletch92131

Ken, I’m not sure I agree with you about any Black person with success or education talking bad about the President. And to suggest they’re being used is ludicrous. And your comment about Fox network being a “Science is Fantasy” must be in relation to Anthropogenic Global Warming (AWG) where allegedly thousands of Scientists support the IPCC mantra. Unfortunately, I’ve seen too much hanky-panky and other scandals within the Global Warming Community to merely by that product lock stock and barrel, without further proof. I have read too many books by noted scientists whose version things is quite different, so I am not biting yet.

Perhaps you haven’t watch all 10 segments, http://bit.ly/WL39CV, . They seem to do a very good job of explaining why AWG is only a minor factor in total global warming. Donna Lafromboise, a Canadian investigative journalist, who worked for the Canadian National Post, did two years of research on AWG ,the result was her book, “The Delinquent Teenager Who Was Mistaken for the World’s Top Climate Expert”, http://amzn.to/XWvm6o, in which she totally eviscerated the notion that the IPCC is somehow a top scientific organization. In reality, it’s just a political organization formed to find evidence of man-made global warming, rather than being formed as an investigative body charged with determining whether or not warming was occurring, and if so, from what source. Also, other books you should read: Lawrence Solomon’s “The Deniers: The World Renowned Scientists Who Stood Up Against Global Warming Hysteria, Political Persecution, and Fraud**And those who are too fearful to do so”, http://amzn.to/12MiPoX, an excellent assembly of editors whose work is edited by Patrick J Michaels, Climate Coup, http://amzn.to/XCfpSZ , Roy Spencer, a former NASA senior climatologist and now a climatologist, Principal Research Scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and the U.S. Science Team leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer on NASA’s Aqua satellite. , “The Great Global Warming Blunder: How Mother Nature Fooled the World’s Top Climate Scientists”, http://amzn.to/WvHtJT , and of course the initial reason for my skepticism after all these years of being a closeted environmentalist, “The Skeptical Environmentalist: Measuring the Real State of the World”, Bjorn Lomborg, http://amzn.to/WNe4fM . Other than these books, you might try watching Prof. Bob Carter, James Cook University, Australia, “Climate Change – Is CO2 the cause? – Pt 1 of 4”, http://bit.ly/UbSqvB, and you can follow the other parts by searching for parts 2, 3, 4 in order. And these other documents supporting this position include “GLOBAL WARMING-The Origin and Nature of the Alleged Scientific Consensus”-Richard S Lindzen, http://bit.ly/14X9tcZ, “NOAA Conducts Large-Scale Experiment And Proves Global Warming Skeptics Correct”, http://bit.ly/12qlB7K, “Is the Earth Still Recovering From the ‘Little Ice Age’-A Possible Cause of Global Warming”, Syun-ichi Akasofu, IARC Founding Director and Professor of Physics, Emeritus, was the director of the International Arctic Research Center of the University of Alaska Fairbanks from its establishment in 1998 until January of 2007, http://bit.ly/12RUB0U , “Copernicus Meets the Greenhouse Effect”, Joe Postma, http://bit.ly/V . Frankly, I could go on and on giving you reverences and videos to watch which rebut the IPCC dogma, but I won’t spending any more time on this endeavor.

Basically what I’m says, I’ve not been convinced by the IPCC. I’m agnostic towards AWG.

  • William Woodward

A breath of fresh air Dr. Carson is. My hope is restored (or perhaps refreshed is a better way to put it). I am reading his book “America The Beautiful” as we speak and it is my hope that his spoken and written message permeates the political debates ongoing now and in the future. At a very minimum Dr. Carson should be a Secretary of Education (and I emphasis “minimum”); I cannot agree with anything more than his view of the educational failings of our country. I encourage anyone to try and answer the questions from an 1800s middle school graduation exam that Dr. Carson included in his book, after which he writes that it is doubtful that most college graduates today could answer correctly. I tried and I failed, admittedly. Shame on us!

  • Conniption Fitz

Be aware that Dr. Carson is still prescribing a form of socialized medicine – Nationalized medical care with his idea that ‘every baby at birth should get a personal medical account’

Nationalized medicine always leads to poor care. Look at the UK.

His tax plan of 10% for everyone with no deductions is actually harder on the poor than the rich by a long shot.

Yes, he is an inspiring Christian and a man of high and noble character and great achievement, but I am not sure about his business, economics and government knowledge and skills.

Let’s make sure he is willing to seek wise conservative counsel (Newt, Cruz, Palin, Bachmann, etc.), will be a president for all ethnic backgrounds and will stick by the CONSTITUTION, BILL OF RIGHTS and Conservative principlse and won’t attack or mock the TEA Party!

    • martha chandler

      Fair enough.

  • TickedWhiteDude

Why can’t they all be like this guy?? The world would be a better place.

    • tinlizzieowner

      Here’s your answer.
With any luck, many of you watched ‘Killing Lincoln’ on the National Geographic Channel last night. It was quite good, objective and contained NO Political ‘Spin’ what so ever. On the other hand……..
Quite coincidentally (and I’m sure it was no coincidence at all), on the History 2 channel, occupying the same time slot, there was a program titled ‘Stories From The Road To Freedom’, which opened with a speech by Barack Obama and then went on to document every indignantly, oppression and crime foisted upon the Black race by the ‘racist’ Whites, in the history of America. A blatant ‘hit piece’ skilfully written to keep the memories of ‘Black opression’ alive and well in America and in the twisted minds of those like former LAPD Officer Christopher Dorner.

      • TickedWhiteDude

Well they have to keep unfairly balanced i guess….I’ll check out that Killing Linoln.

        • tinlizzieowner

You should. It was a timeline documentary about what was happening in the era just before Lincoln’s death. It doesn’t in any way glorify Johm Wilkes Booth or lessen Lincoln’s greatness but there’s plenty in it, you’ll never read in the history books.
          😉 😉

  • iContretemps

I’m just a kid and this totally makes sense. I honestly don’t want to live in hell when I get older, so what Dr. Ben Carson is saying is true. Our generation needs to improve!

  • fletch92131

Doctor Carson seemed to me to be almost like Doctor Thomas Sowell, the Rose and Milton Friedman Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institute, talking with Peter Robinson of Uncommon Knowledge, in discussing his latest version of his book, Intellectuals and Society: Revised and Expanded Edition, http://amzn.to/TAiZvC. Doctor Carson’s discussion of the need for personal responsibility and education of the populace is very important to eliminating this sense of entitlement that envelops this country. He stresses that only with proper education can the nation understand what each candidate is stressing the things that should matter most to that voter. His understanding of the Ghetto problem of too many kids being born into a life of “programmed victim-hood”, if not being born into it, then certainly being taught it at the school level, where “Politically Correct”(PC) is all the rage/ norm/allowed. He also discussed how doctors and engineers use facts to make their decisions, rather than ideology. Also, Doctor Carson seem to understand that Health Savings Accounts (HSAs),which were used under the George W. Bush administration, were a great way in which people could save for their medical needs out of pretax dollars. His recognition of the time it takes to simply count the total debt, much less pay it off, was revealing.

Most importantly I think, Doctor Carson recognizes that the main impediment to cheaper healthcare is the elimination of, or at least the constraining of Trial Lawyers, which caused more defensive medicine being conducted rather than good medicine.

  • God has sent us a leader in Dr. Carson! I would vote for him right now!!

  • mtngma

Thank you Dr. Ben, at the end when Sean said let not your heart be troubled, I realized maybe the trauma will be over some day, and a tear came to my eye. Let hope arise and let America again be great and strong with liberty and justice for all!

While there are many things I could say about Dr. Carson, the truth of the words and beliefs he speaks, his ideas that would ACTUALLY work, etc; the most outstanding qualities that cannot be overlooked are his WARMTH and his INTEGRITY.
He is reaching so many people, not just with the truth, but we are connecting because his warmth and selflessness touch our hearts.
Dr. Carson, with all due respect, I am inclined to believe God has indeed picked you up and put you in the political realm

  • pmisnerjr

So, I was in the car, and decided to listen to  the interview with Dr. Ben Carson and Sean Hannity. I truly admire Dr. Carson, and look to his mother as an example of what good parenting can do to help a child’s success.
Dr. Carson went onto some very good points, on how the problems this country has are real and undeniable, and how we need to get over the name calling and posturing and work together to address these problems, finding common solutions. I was impressed.
Then Hannity commented on how the leftist liberals were brainwashed into voting for hope and change, and Carson agreed with him.
Dr. Carson and Mr. Hannity, I was not brainwashed. I made my decision based upon the facts that the Bush administration got us into an unnecessary war in Iraq, greatly increased the size of government, and was partly responsible for a near collapse of the financial markets. I did not want another 8 years of a continuation of these policies. Oh, I forgot to mention that the Republican VP candidate appeared to be completely unqualified and unprepared to run the country. You are free to disagree with my choice, but don’t insult me by saying it was made without thoughtful exercise.
Since the President has been elected, I’m disappointed that spending continues to increase, and I wish that both parties would come to the table and agree on spending cuts and tax increases that are fair and that do not pose an unfair burden on the poor. I’m very disappointed that the President has chosen Treasury leaders who come from the same Wall Street companies that were too big to fail
I’d like to see a focus on personal responsibility on each of us to do our part to make things better, by educating ourselves and participation in the democratic process. With the Internet, education is more accessible and affordable than in any time in history.
What I have seen from Obama is a largely centrist president, who does make mistakes, but who is trying to make this country better. He is far from a socialist, even in the style of the Europeans.
I would vote for an alternative. A fiscally conservative candidate who balances the rights of the worker with providing opportunity for business growth would be someone I’d look at. At the same time, this candidate should promote personal liberties, allowing those in the minority to have the same rights as the majority. I expect that there are many like me out there.

    • viktort

pmisnerjr Sorry to tell you, but you were brainwashed, you just think you were not. I am europena and will tell you, where Obama is leading us is European model to socialism.

      • pmisnerjr

I don’t really accept the opinions of people who fear to put their own names on the  line

  • Everything he said is exactly what I always said is good for Republicans.  This guy has views based on fact and true understanding.  Doctors, scientists need to be political because they actually are intelligent with facts. Fathers in kids life.  Focus on learning. Flat tax. Insurance should have been overhauled with medicare. PC LIBERALS ARE THE REASON WE ARE NOW WEAKER THAN BEFORE.  LIBERALS TRYING TO SOCIALIZE AMERICA.  ROMAN EMPIRE FELL WITH CLOWNS LIKE YOYO
