    Tea Party has it right – focus and aspire to the limited role that gov’t was designed to fulfill, trust in the recipe that elevated the masses into unprecedented prosperity- free individuals, economic freedom, limited govt., and to that end, and preventing the status quo, less taxes from the productive, less regulation and an end to intellectual ignorance embodied in anti-capitalist and anti-private sector. No one, even libs, trust DC more than any business or corporation they patronize daily without a thought or complaint.

  • As much as I love Ted Cruz and Mark Levin I fear the damage has been done and we are screwed, this mess is irreversible in my opinion. The only question remains when will they pull the trigger on us?

      It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace²but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

        froggy19510 faustmanv I love that Henry quote. I memorized it in my 11th grade US History class and almost 20 years later it is still a powerful reminder in my heart! We must never surrender to the forces of Marxism and Evil that is bearing down on us as our small force is hunkered down on top of Bunker Hill waiting to pour it into them!

    Cruz should be leaving the RINO Party and form a strong Conservative Party. Sarah should run for senate as a mamber of the Conservative Party. Abolish the IRS! Get your bumper stickers now.

    Abolish The IRS – this should be our rallying cry and as Mark Steyn says, this should be the moment we seize to do just that and rally around Senator Ted Cruz’s proposal to do just that.
    I think our fellow poster, fireme, is correct in saying that Ted Cruz should leave the Big Whigs of the GOP and form a strong Conservative Party and that Sarah Palin should run for the senate as a member of this Conservative Party.  Ted Cruz would have a lot of us from The Right Scoop join him right now were he to form a strong Conservative Party. 
    Until then ABOLISH THE IRS!

      A couple of thoughts (from my so called brain)
      In no particular order
      A. Someone has to collect the taxes, so the IRS is not going away.  
      That said there obviously needs to be some major overhauls in that agency.
      B. (and this relates to point A)  We need to change the federal tax code. Its too big, too complicated , no one knows what’s in the damn thing (Google Steve Forbes Tax Code).  We change the tax code, we reduce the power of the IRS, political corruption in political campaigns, the vast majority of these DC lobbyists go away. Flat  Tax…Fair Tax…some combination of the two…something else….whatever, don’t really care what.
      C. If you think Immigration is a big fight…Johnny my boy,  you ain’t seen nothing! Too many people across the political/societal spectrum have invested way to much time money effort into this code to go quietly into that good night. 
      D. Trends that cannot continue….won’t. This top down model that we’ve had for the last hundred years, it doesn’t work any more, and the IRS is just one more symptom of this.

        Valin, how difficult is it to tell everyone to send in 10% of whatever they’ve made after a standard deduction and then let the Treasury Department collect the money and the US Justice Department bring charges against those citizens who violate the law by not fiiling.
        You don’t need thousands upon thousands of IRS agents to do that.  You don’t even need an IRS to do that.  We don’t need to reduce the power of the IRS. We need to get rid of the IRS especially as an unaccountable to anyone 4th branch of government.
        Here in Louisiana, as I’m sure it is in most states where there is an income tax, we send in a form with whatever we owe to the Department of Revenue.  In Texas, you don’t even have to worry about that and Texas is doing just fine.
        If you want to save a forest abolish the tax code and just a fair tax or a flat tax.
        The only thing that makes Immigration difficult is the Big Whigs in the GOP who insist on bringing into our nation as many future voters for the Democrat Party as they can.  That’s simply nuts.  So what if it’s difficult.  So what if it’s a big fight.  Our nation is doomed if we don’t put up a fight.  No matter how big!  No matter how difficult! Duhhh!
        Whether it be over the unconstitutional acitivities of the IRS or over immigration and securing our borders or the 2nd Ammendment and the Bill of Rights, we have to fight or we’ve lost.
        All these people who’ve testified the last few days in Congress about the tyranny of the IRS are absolutely right.  It is tyranny.  It’s a tyranny that simply won’t be addressed by overhauling the tax code but will be addressed by Abolishing the IRS.
