This is a pretty incredible press conference where Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein explains the details of the indictment against 13 Russians and 3 Russian entities for interfering in the 2016 election.
This is a must watch, in my opinion:
Rosenstein makes clear that any cooperation with these 13 Russians by the Trump campaign or other Americans was unwitting. He explains that these 13 Russians went to great lengths to make it look like they were simply grass roots Americans.
He also explains the dichotomy of their interference, saying they organized both support rallies and protest rallies on the day of Trump’s inauguration.
Also I should note that Rosenstein said in response to a question afterwards that they will go through the normal procedures to try and get Russia to extradite these 13 individuals to the US for prosecution.
If Trump weren’t sure before of any Russian interference, let him be sure now.
