Sarah Palin gave a great speech in Manchester, New Hampshire at a Tea Party Express Rally this morning where she challenged the Tea Party to continue to grow by allowing in those candidates who have finally seen the light as to what must be done in our country to preserve it for our children and grandchildren. She says we need to hear from candidates who can do more than just talk, as we’ve tried that before, but have records of accomplishment and proven records of reform.

It was at this point the crowd broke out into “Run Sarah Run” chants, interrupting her speech for a moment, to which she gladly thanked them for their encouragement and continued talking about the pro-growth agenda that our country needs.

UPDATE: Thanks to SarahPac for posting my video and giving a h/t back to The Right Scoop.

Also, here are some photos from the event today.

And some people still believe that 68% of TPers don’t want her to run. Yeah, believe it./

It’s true.. In a crowd of 600 about 400 of them were from out of state… they are NOT NH people. She would do poorly here in any case. She messed with our elections and has ignored the tea party 6 times… has no use for them, only for what it does to aggrandize herself. 3 years now, and she even said NH is not important.

Thank you very much for posting the speech.

The fact that her central theme of today’s speech was about growing the Tea Party movement seemed to fly over Wolf Blitzer’s head. Prior to the speech, he complimented her for being substantive in recent speeches and not relying on platitudes. After today’s speech, he said she didn’t offer any solutions. Today, she made it about the TP movement, not about the campaign. She was plenty specific today. She let the TP know that they are the solution and that she stands with them in their war against big government.

I would not expect Blitzer to get what she is saying…he is as much a part of the establishment as any politician who has been in DC for 25 years!

    • David Robertson

I agree. I think she also took some slight off-handed shots at tea parties who are protesting other tea parties because of having Romney speak. She said more than once that we should focus on the larger issues and stand united. I agree with her. If the Tea Party movement wants to continue to have a wide demographic, they are going to need to focus on the basics and not get tied up in who’s letting who speak.
I consider myself a Tea Partier, and for the record, Romney isn’t even in my top 5 of people I would like to see win the primary. However, if he has ideas that support what the tea party is pushing, then good for him and good for us.

      • Anonymous

She went one step further than saying she wanted the TEA Party to unite, she said she was so glad to see people representing various candidates in the crowd. This is truly a gracious woman.

Nobody believes those polls not even twits such as Allahpundit and Ace. I see the Palin support. It is Palin vs. Perry and soon Perry will slip and it will be Palin vs. Christie. The RNC Media Machine can chop up Texas Male Cheerleader when it lands Christie probably around Thanksgiving. Remember Rasmussen says someone like Christie can get in the race around Thanksgiving and Shake up the Race. Rasmussen is a Christie Shill so I would be shocked if Christie enters and it becomes Palin vs. Christie.

You are right. Christie is the last line of defense of the RINOs. After Perry inplodes and the establishment knows he cannot win in Northern states with his Southern secessionist attitude(think Huckabee), they will bring the fatty.

Pretty sure Sarah will pick a conservative as her running mate.

That eliminates Christie on the spot.

Also sure she won’t choose someone who fought the United States government to keep them from deporting a known Hamas terrorist, or someone who appointed a Justice who not only represented Gitmo terrorists, but wants Sharia as the law of the land.

That too would eliminate Chris Christie. He needs to be on the terror watch list, not any VP list.

I don’t believe the polls either. It is an interesting exercise to see how the establishment, media, and pollsters treated Reagan and run that against how they treat Palin. We in the Republican party keep decrying that we can’t find another leader like Reagan again, but we must not forget that he didn’t come out of the establishment elite, and neither will the next great leader.

She dropped “no you go to hell” from today’s speech. When she said that on saturday it was highly inapropriate.

    • Anonymous

She said in her speech in Iowa that one should stay classy and not say
      “no, you go to hell”.

      Your lies are highly inappropriate.

I did not lie. She changed it today therefore she and her campaign agree she should not have said it.

        • Anonymous

Yes, Brian, you are literally correct in that she did not speak those exact words today. However, you have no idea as to why. You are not part of her “campaign”, and unless you are claiming psychic powers are simply projecting your belief that it was inappropriate on to Governor Palin.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Brian-Skinner/100000598231323 Brian Skinner

I do not make any connection between the two. If she had kept it in this version of the speech, I would have said, “More power to her.”

One: Palin’s New Hampshire speech was always going to be a shorter one than her Iowa speech.

Two: Here is what she said: http://www.sarahpac.com/posts/governor-palins-speech-at-the-restoring-america-tea-party-of-america-rally-in-indianola-iowa-video-and-transcript

“Friends, you are better than that. Our country is better than that. We’ve got to unite. We’ve got to stand together. We can confront the problem and we can achieve lasting reform. And I can tell you from hard-earned experience with bumps and bruises along the way, that the road ahead is not easy. You will be demonized. They’ll mock you. They’ll make things up. They’ll tell you to “go to hell.” But we’ll bite our tongue, we’ll keep it classy, and we won’t respond—as tempting as it is—to anyone who just has such disdain for our free market economy and for individual initiative and responsibility. We won’t say, “No, you go to hell.” No, we won’t say that. You know why we don’t have to say that? Because when we have time-tested truth and logic on our side, we win. And when we refuse to retreat because we know that our children’s future is at stake, we win.”

RE: Maxine Waters: “The Tea Party can go straight to hell.”
It helps to be aware of what Palin was referring to in her speech. Just a couple of weeks earlier, ultra-liberal congresswoman Maxine Waters of California launched a broadside against the Tea Party, declaring “The Tea Party can go straight to hell.” That was what Palin was alluding to in her speech, but Palin was classy enough to implore Tea Partiers not to respond in kind (“.. but we shall not say, “No, you go to hell”).
      http://dailycaller.com/2011/08/21/maxine-waters-the-tea-party-can-go-straight-to-hell/

She’s not going to run. I wish she would, if just so conservatives can stop treating one another so badly but if she were going to run, she’d have built a national infrastructure. She hasn’t.

    • Anonymous

sure she has. the national infrastructure just doesn’t include the “normal” politcial pros that people think of. therefore to the media and others it looks like she hasn’t built one.

The O4p in Ia has been reported as one of the most organized groups that many long time political operatives have seen.

      • David Robertson

Absolutely. I think her experience with “the pros” of the McCain campaign sealed her attitude towards that. I’m sure a conversation around her dinner table in the aftermath included a commitment to run on her own terms with as few handlers as possible.

    • Anonymous

The key words in today’s speech were “We need a candidate who will run into the danger.” This phrase is right out of “The Undefeated” where she is described as a person who runs into danger, not away from it. She has continued over many speeches to describe herself as the person we need to defeat Obama.

She will announce her candidacy when it strategically suits her. Thinking that she’s not running just because she hasn’t said she’s running is to misread all of the signals. Organize4Palin.com is active in all the states and well organized in many. We show up at events and find none of the announced candidates represented.

If you are waiting for Gov. Palin to hire a bunch of political operatives to tell her what to say and where to go, which interviews to do, what states to campaign in, and that their polling shows she’s lost before she has started to run, you will be waiting a long time. She doesn’t work that way. Either we will do the work to put her into office or we will suffer four more years of Obama.

      • Barbara Adams

I have seen her work in Alaska and she does not need polls to tell her what she can or can not accomplish. She has her own time line and she listens to the spirit not a bunch of political operatives.

Perry hasn’t even got 150,000 by comparison.

      Etc.

Nomination fights are tough. But Palin supporters are on the side of the angels. We are like the supporters of Reagan against the supporters of Bush in 1979, with the same arguments being thrown out (he can’t win, the press makes fun of him). Reagan announced in November!

By not announcing her candidacy a couple months ago Palin missed out on grabbing that genius Ed Rollins. Now Michele Bachmann has him and all is lost. lol.

      • http://www.solitudeholdings.com/blog1/ Dan C

HA HA, good one! Ed Rollins=LOL.

      • Anonymous

IMO, Bachmann’s second worse mistake was hiring Rollins.

Her main mistake was running to be president.

I loved her as a representative.
A year ago, I thought she would be a good Speaker of the House.
If she wanted to, maybe a senator.
But I think all of that is gone now.

Gee – you mean Sarah didn’t use the speech she had already prepared for Sat – why work on a new speech when a 1,000+ miles away from the last – who would ever notice……err….except maybe some TPers, hobbits, and good common folk – who WILL take the TIME to listen/watch both speeches……for each time out Sarah is still reiterating certain points even as she alters her focus slightly for the group at hand – yet (unlike some candidates from the NE) you will never find her differentiating away from her principles, ethics, and what she sees as our main problems and the solutions we all are willing to work for……….What a joy it is for this constitutional conservative TPier to know that in Sarah Palin we have a consistent, principled, fiscally conservative, servant of We The People.

Hmmmmm. Add the content of this speech and the crowd’s reaction to it, together with Iowa. Now add the opening music to “Undefeated” from the various promos being aired on DirecTV, FNC and other cable networks carried by DirecTV. Tens of millions will see one of the promos at least in part. Almost daily Palin coverage for months now. And here lately, the intensity has really increased! The surprising thing here is the number of folks who swear she’s not running! REALLY? …..This is a masterful and unique campaign, quite immpressive. Almost totally grass roots and the MSM is helping! Every story told or published, whether factual or fiction, good and informative, slanderious or not; all of this appears to have been factored in at the very onset of her campaign. I see a master planner at work, someone who has completely and thoughtfully planned out a course towards a greater goal; and has planned a course with equal indepth planning, insight, and wisdom, the restoration of Constitutional American life! ….If Palin is the author and planner of this campaign,as I suspect she will be the next president. If as some say, she’s not smart, well I want the name of the master planner. He or She has my vote.

I agree VJ. The intelligence and resolve of this lady is vastly underestimated. She is one sharp cookie! The left has done (and continues to do) its best to marginalize her. I call it “Palinphobia”!!!

Are there any video clips of her post-speech? Just wondering if she spent a good deal of time mixing with the crown like she did in Iowa?

BTW, Sarah just bought a house in Scottsdale/Cave Creek, right down the street from my son!

    • Anonymous

This was my first look at Sarah in person, but I watched her post speech activity and do not feel it was very long. As an Alaskan, I had hoped to say a personal word, but she talked to almost none outside the gated area.

I love Palin, but I do not agree with you about Perry. He is still far too close to his Democratic roots and it shows up far too often in his words and actions as governor of Texas.

    • Anonymous

That was a very nice way of putting that.

  • Anonymous

The first thing I noticed about this speech is her repeated use of the word WE. She does not talk about “I” as Obama does. She does not ask “you” to do the work. She says “we” must do this, “we” must work for this, “we” must change this. Brilliant!
And when she succeeds, she will still recognize that “we” did the work…she and me and YOU…and “we” brought about the restoration of America!

Of course no Sarah Palin, but still looking forward to going to the rally.

I never heard of a politician speak this way! Not even Reagan! She is literally going to the root of our problem. Political Crony Capitalism. She is saying alot of bold piercing words that grabs your heart. Her 5 point plan is extremely bold. I thought after her speech Saturday the media would spin everything she but the simply ignore it!

    • Frederick

Yes. This stood out to me as well. There is a lot of originalism/classic republicanism expressed in this speech. It is very pleasing to hear. She’s dusted it off shined it up, and is displaying it with conviction, and American pride. She’s also the only legitimate messenger to carry it IMO, and the only trusted leader who I feel can begin this process of what has been so neglected, and give it a soild footing. But the most important message she envokes though, is the empowering part. Without that, it has no power. The people are the only ones who can bring about a restoration of American exceptionalism by voting in like minded individuals, and holding them accountable. We are the employer. As she said Saturday, “who” we choose from the local level on up now, and into the future, as it is always true in a republic, determines our course. It always has. The cronyism is a huge road block to the peoples will. It must be slain, but it can only be slain if we vote, and hold those accountable to the purpose. Voting one conscience is not voting with one’s pocket book. It’s voting with principle over everything else, being consistant, but not over zealot.

Outstanding speech! Another grand slam by Sarah Palin! And this after running a marathon! She is going to enter the race with this great message and she’ll take this message to Pennsylvania Avenue! She’s the real, deal folks and what we need at this time.

Time tested truths to save our nation is in order, but we need bold leadership to push this relentless reform against the political Establishment hordes that are wedded to the status quo. If we want to save our country, fight for country, then we must stand with the Tea Party and a leader whose willing to carry their mantle in 2012 (as she did in 2010). Palin 2012, Accept No Substitutes!

In all fairness, even Sarah today in this speech acknowledged vocally other candidate signs while she was speaking too. I looked at the photos, and it appears to be a single Ron Paul sign off to her right, and appears to be the sign she was looking at when she mentioned it. The fact that she mentioned it at all is enlightening of her as well.

Crowd Count for Indianola. The oldest member of our TX delegation was McKinney, TX Patience Vaughan, 87. Mrs. Vaughan was driven on a golf cart to the “Texas is Palin Country” bus at the conclusion of the event, by the Event Marshall, after walking to the top of the hill to the event tent. The Event Marshall was with the Indianola Balloon Grounds, and not with the TP. He was questioned by Mrs. Vaughan’s son, re the crowd count, and his answer was 6000. And this was someone who perhaps happened to have the best experience of anyone at the event that day in estimating crowd size at this venue, as he led the team that parked the vehicles. The 6000 crowd size number makes sense if you figure about 20 people across at the bottom on the left hand side facing the stage, which widened to the top of the hill, and add those in the VIP center section, and then add the rest.

    Thanks for posting this.

Sarah is already running. Her speech in Iowa was much more substantive than this one. This was a Tea Party unity speech, and taking down Obama, big government, business as usual and crony capitalism was the unifying message. Reform is the answer, the Tea Party the agent of reform, and growing the movement the critical task of the moment.

Her speech in Iowa was more of a policy agenda speech with many more specifics than this one.

She was rallying the troops today, like Napoleon before his Italian campaign, like Caesar before taking Rome, like Churchill rallying the British. She knows what she is doing, even if Wolf Blitzer does not. The Tea Party is her army, she is their leader, and they are gearing up to do battle.

    That’s what today was about.

Too many honest people she can choose to be her VP. Rick Perry is the sort of corrupt politician she ran out of office in Alaska.

Friends if you haven’t seen it yet, you gotta see The Undefeated! Palin is the Reagan of our times. For those that think she is not qualified to be President and don’t watch The Undefeated, then you are choosing to be ignorant and your vote will be wasted because you choose to remain uninformed and even cowardly. Palin is the leader this nation needs at such a critical time in history. There are more Tea Partiers than any other voting segment and she is out firing up the troops to begin her official run. September 17th is Constitution Day. It would not be surprising she announces her candidacy then.
