Glenn says he just went to the doctor because his hands and legs have been getting numb lately. He says it’s kinda like the eye thing, it could be bad or it may not be. Either way he sounds concerned:

losing, please, not loosing. “Loosing” is what you do to the dogs of war.

@Skydaddy: or what happens to a sane person’s bowels when they hear Glenn Beck speak.

  • Matt Skiles

That sounds like TIA’s (mini-strokes) which can lead to a full stroke if he doesn’t get that checked.

Let me tell you something Glenn, WHATEVER YOU NEED, WHATEVER YOU NEED.
Dear Lord, please be with Glenn, his family and all of us, give him strength and grant him wellness, he serves you and rejoyces in you, as he brings us closer to you oh lord. As we all try to do better, in your name, AMEN.

    • grizzlybarrmomma

cbs71,dito, I often think of Paul as he prayed “Lord please take this affliction from me”- My grace is sufficient, came the reply. However, Glenn’s been saying expect miracles. I can agree with that. The other day he said it was strange that he couldn’t see where he would be a year from now. In these times we can also say that about America. Lord we need you.

MS can cause loss of eyesight and neuropathy.

My thoughts exactly. Neil Cavuto has had MS for many years and appears to live life to the fullest. Positive thinking plus medical technology can do wonders.
      Prayers for Glenn.

      You could be correct.

      # Vision problems . Vision problems are relatively common in people with MS. In fact, one vision problem, optic neuritis, occurs in 55% of people with the condition. This can result in blurring or graying of vision or blindness in one eye. However ,most vision problems in MS do not lead to blindness.

      # Abnormal sensations. Many people with MS experience abnormal sensations such as “pins and needles,” numbness, itching, burning, stabbing, or tearing pains. Fortunately, most of these symptoms, while aggravating, are not life-threatening or debilitating and can be managed or treated.

I Pray he will be ok.

Williamm, you sound like a Dr. Have you heard of someone being misdiagnosed with MS who had lymes disease that was only detected after a second more expensive test 7 years later? These are just a few of the symptoms listed on the following site–
        http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/lyme/ld_humandisease_symptoms.htm
These include shooting pains, numbness or tingling in the hands or feet, and problems with concentration and short term memory.

This happened to my friend. She is now on antibiotics and recovering.

Ni I’m not a Dr and don’t know the first thing about the medical profession. I just have a lot of info available on computer.
          Thanks for the link.

        • Megan

grizzlybarrmomma, I also think it is most likely chronic lyme disease. I know the symptoms because my entire family is infected. It’s amazing doc’s can’t figure it out. It is really not that difficult to diagnose if you know the symptoms. Lyme is often misdiagnosed as MS or Lupus since the symptoms are so similar. But lyme is so much more common. AND he lives in CT – the worst place in the US for lyme!!!! Why not consider Lyme first?!

          • grizzlybarrmomma

M- Is there something about a second test that is more expensive that gives a true positive or a true neg.?

          • Dawnhopep

It is Lyme Disease, I will put money it. I have similar symptoms and it took the doctors 3 years to figure out that it was lyme.

          • Gail

My guess is Lyme. Get it checked out by a Lyme Literate Dr. or you will run from Dr. to Dr. getting misdiagnosed. That is what my sister did. After 20 doctors and the Mayo clinic twice, she was ready to give up hope. A nurse suggested that it might be Lyme disease. She is now on her way to recovery thanks to her Lyme Literate doctor.

It could also be nothing more than his muscles reacting to his work out regime he started not to long ago. The symptoms are very much like those experienced while the muscles heal after prolonged exercise. But still best to be on the safe side and let the Doctor run the tests to nail down the cause.

This doesn’t sound so much as tia’s ,but more likely, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, or periperaphy newropathy from spinal problems. or eve MS. A stroke will not usually affect both sides.

  • West Florida

Has he bothered to have a glucose test lately? Adult onset diabetes can produce similar symptoms.

There are a number of nutritional deficiences AND excesses (e.g., excess Vitamin D) that also can produce such symptoms. Instead of telling the world about his problems, why doesn’t get them taken care of and button up?

    • akw

What exactly is YOUR problem? He was telling his radio listeners that he had just gone to the doctor to find out what’s wrong. Why do you have a problem with that?

      • Leahsnow

You sound like a liberal moron to me. Do you actually believe that he hasn’t already “bothered” to have a glucose test? I’ll bet he has ALREADY had a lot of various tests run to try to diagnose this – everything common would naturally be considered. Only an idiot would think that someone as intelligent as Glenn would mention it on the radio without first consulting with many, many doctors. My uncle has similar symptoms and has been living with them for years. He had a probable case of polio as a child and recovered. Then, many years later it reappeared as a peripheral neuropathy that has slowly crept up his legs. He walks with a cane and drives a car still. It is painful, but he has a good attitude.

  • Karl Baumgarten

I had the same problem a couple of years ago. It turned out to be a bulging disc in my neck pressing against my spinal cord. Fusing the neck discs solved the problem.

Glenn has complained about his back before. I hope you are right because physical therapy can help. Or it could be related to the recent working out with a physical trainer. I don’t want to think Glenn has MS, but whatever he has, if anything, we should pray for him and his family.

    • http://twitter.com/gothicreader JW

You may be right as well; I had back surgery years ago, and my whole right left went numb due to the disc pressing on the nerve. After the surgery I got the feeling back, but have residual numbness on my foot.

I do hope it’s only this and nothing major.

      God Bless you Glenn.

He’s pushing it now. He’s crying wolfe and I’m not buying it. He should not jerk his audience around like this. There are many people who are living and dealing with REAL health issues everyday. Remeber the YouTube video he did after having anal surgery. Why did he do that? Why does he need his audience to be worried about it — it narcassistic. When Glenn goes blind (and I don’t want him to) then I’ll believe him

    • http://twitter.com/ClericalGal Cheryl Herin

It’s not narcissism. Glenn has always been honest with his audience about what is going on in his life, less so since he has become a big target for the left. After the “butt surgery” video, he hardly mentioned his health until recently. I have a feeling he will regret mentioning this if he sees all this speculation about what is wrong.

Ya that’s what Glenn does. Crys Wolf. What a jerk Carkrueger. You don’t have a clue what he goes through everyday trying to save YOUR sorry ass. Give the man a break. Although GBS “can” come on slow, it usually comes on very quick. I know, I am recovering from an acute version of it. One of my doctors said there is also a “chronic” form that has a slower progression. The good new for GBS patients is that one can completely recover from it. God be with Glenn and his family…I will be praying for all of them.

I am very worried about him. Anyone who was at 8/28 probably is like me–he’s like family. God, please don’t let anything happen to him. He’s so good…

  • Janis

Sounds like Glenn needs to visit a chiropracter, or a doctor of natural medicine.
Probably something wrong with his neck, if he has tingling in his hands and legs, or perhaps lower back. I don’t go to medical doctors. They have no clue as to what they are doing 75% of the time. Been once in the last ten years, and threw away $600 dollars.

To some this may seem far-fetched, but you all must realize that Glenn is very special and I believe, personally, he was given a mission.

It has been known that those who are “special” and “instructs” do tend to suffer – physically.

Please read up on visionaries and locutionists and the sufferings, which have been well documented.

Just a far-fetched thought – Do we know if he’s been tested for heavy-metal poisoning?? The “Medical Mystery” shows on cable have had several cases where arsenic or thallium have turned out to be the cause of a patient’s debilitating “mystery symptoms”; and we ALL know he’s got enemies in high places who want to shut him up…

So I’m paranoid. Doesn’t mean it’s not worth looking into.

I would bet a lot of $$$$$ it’s chronic Lyme disease. My entire family has it and I know the symptoms well. It can make you lose your eyesight in addition to the other symptoms he describes. Too bad our current medical system doesn’t recognize it as a serious disease. It’s very typical for people to remain undiagnosed for years, even going to the “best” MD’s. If only a good doc would suggest a trial of antibiotics to see what happens.

    • grizzlybarrmomma

Megan, I wish you had replied to my comment earlier-I wouldn’t have had to sift thru to the end to find you—– I have a friend who was misdiagnosed with MS for 7 years—their Dr. even let them decide how to medicate themselves. They noticed that the symptoms fluctuated — sometimes extremely–even month to month and during the month (not like MS- a steady decline)—they recorded all these symptoms etc and finally found a Dr. who treated tons of people misdiagnosed with MS who have lymes disease. After a second more expensive test recently they received antibiotics and are finally recovering. These are just a few of the symptoms listed on the following site I found–
      http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/lyme/ld_humandisease_symptoms.htm
These include shooting pains, numbness or tingling in the hands or feet, and problems with concentration and short term memory.

    • grizzlybarrmomma

Did Glenn get either the seasonal or H1N1 vaccine last year? Guillan Barre Syndrome can present like this, and neuropathies such as this are one of the major reportable adverse effects.

  • Earl Conway

Sounds like it could be a mercury issue… just sayin’…

  • Rpggyr

He lives in Connecticut. Sounds like Neuro Lyme to me. I hope he doesn’t stay with big shot main stream Doctors for too long and gets his butt to a LLMD for Dx.
Put him on a course of Doxycycline and see what happens. He may need IV antibiotics. Bet its faory new infection and it has hit his CNS. Sure wound exactly like what my granddaughter has been experiencing for the last two months. Started Doxycycline five days ago and already her balance is improving. Oh by the wya the ELISA came up negative. Not surprised though. These tests are missing lots of cases. It has to be a clincical Dx and anti biotics started. Hope he doesn’t get DX with MS and pumped full of steroids that supress the immune system. He is already commenting on neuro toxin which makes me believe he is on to something. Lyme and its co-infections are neruro toxins. I’ll bet my bottom dollar its Lyme. Didn’t he just have appendicitis. Lyme can also attack organs. its the great mimicker.
