One of the most common and talked about complaints the right, and particularly the Trumpist right, has about the left and had about Obama in particular was his refusal to call Islamic terror by its name. Now some Republican lawmakers are lodging that same complaint against a President again, this time Trump.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides.”
This was the President’s statement today before reporters at a sunny golf resort in New Jersey. That lack of specificity about what happened is what has some Republicans demanding consistency.
