Governor of Guam Says He’s Never Felt Safer, Thanks to Trump (VIDEO)

Gov. Eddie Baza Calvo of Guam spoke with President Trump last night and was perfectly at ease. He was not, for the record, in a bomb shelter.

The video of the call, which Calvo released on Facebook, shows him smiling and laughing with the President as he expresses his confidence in the Commander-in-Chief.

“As the governor of Guam representing the people of Guam and as an American citizen, I never felt more safe or confident than with you at the helm.” he says.

Here is the text that accompanied the video on Facebook:

I just got off the phone with Chief of Staff General John Kelly and with the President of the United States of America.

They called me from the White House this morning and both assured me that the people of Guam are safe.

In the President’s words they are behind us “1000 percent.”

As the head of the Government of Guam, I appreciate their reassurances that my family, my friends, everyone on this island, are all safe.

God Bless the people of Guam and God Bless the United States of America.

President Trump promised him that tourism would go way up. If Guam does get a lot of new visitors, let’s hope it’s under happy circumstances, not radiation suit ones.
