Gowdy to FBI Director James Comey on Hillary email: This is NOT the FBI that I know and love

Trey Gowdy hammered FBI Director James Comey yesterday after inquiring why he gave out immunity deals in Hillary’s email case but failed pursue actual prosecution. He told Comey that this is not the FBI that he knows from working with them in the past.

Watch:

The most frustrating thing about all of this is that nothing will be done about the Hillary-elephant in the room. Gowdy is right that intent is proven with circumstantial evidence, of which there appears to be plenty. But he’s also right that the intent Comey claims he needs to prosecute Hillary doesn’t matter for gross negligence.

So when Comey tells the House Judiciary “You can call us wrong but don’t call us weasels. We are not weasels, we are honest people and we did this in that way”, I don’t believe him. Because he himself is acting like a great big weasel so why should we believe that all of his underlings aren’t weasels?

My point is his umbrage over this would be more believable if he were honest. But he’s not. He’s either in on it or he’s being manipulated, and he’s most certainly lying about something.

And just like Hillary, he’s getting away with it.
