Greg Gutfeld blasts Bob Costas, calls Jason Whitlock a bigot

Greg Gutfeld didn’t mince words yesterday, going after Bob Costas and Jason Whitlock over their calls to ban handguns:

  • Bob Costas has always been a pretty boy, and now he isn’t even pretty.

    • FreeManWalking

I’ll have to go with Walid on that, I never have seen a man that was pretty…

Opps my bad, you only attributed boyish qualities to Costa$$.

  • chatterbox365

I love Gutfield…he’s a straight shooter and does it so well.

  • Rocco11

Why is a diminutive libertarian comedian the only person on our side with the guts to speak the truth?

    • Sober_Thinking

      Dynamite comes in small packages?

I’m sure Rush, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Michelle Malkin and others have also called Costas on his moronic statement… but you’re right… there simply aren’t enough voices of reason out there right now.

    • Lee

He’s more of a man than 99.9% of the emasculated liberals out there.

  • FreeManWalking

Go Greg GO, point out these hypocrites!

and way to school fatso bob, with out blinking an eye…

Cost us FREEDOM needs to be banned from Audio & Video, at least at sports if he wants in the arena of politics put him on with Al SharpDullton

  • 911Infidel

Costas is a weasel. Whitlesslock is a racist troll. Both of them are oxygen theives of an order of magnitude equivalent to pretty much everyone in the O’Crapper administration or Indoctrination U or the rest of the enemedia. Hypocrites, trolls, ghouls, choose your own adjetive. Nice rant Greg.

    • Betsey_Ross

We need sooooooo much more of this. Always, always speak out. Never shut up.

  • Sober_Thinking

    Amen Greg. Well-said.

America needs to hear the truth and some reason from time-to-time to counter the multitude of idiots out there who shoot off their mouths and spew ignorance like the plague.

Though he can never be replaced, Greg Gutfeld is rapidly becoming more and more like Andrew Breitbart in my mind. He’s certainly cut from the same cloth. I’m glad Greg has a national platform to share his sanity with America.

    • I wish Fox would give him a show of his own! He recently hosted the O’Reilly Factor and did a GREAT job at it! Clearly showing he has the talent, ability, intelligence, wit, quick thinking to be able to host such a show and really *challenge* his guests, not just sit back and nod. Not saying BillO does this, but too many in the media do.

      • NHConservative0221

Ted Baxter aka O’Reilly is a clown.

He criticized the right and Rush during the financial collapse of 2008.

He even said he’d give Maobama the benefit of the doubt when he was first immaculated.

THen he gives a softball interview to maobama during the superbowl and jumps all over Palin during an interview.

Baxter is no conservative and Gutfeld would be a major upgrade!

      • Nukeman60

He does have Red Eye, but it’s on pretty late and usually just meant for slanted humor.

        • I’ve taped Red Eye a few times to watch it, but haven’t in a while. I must give it a rewatch or two and see what’s new. ๐Ÿ™‚ 3am is a little late for me! ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Sober_Thinking

Bill O is a nice guy but he’s an arrogant moderate blowhard.

Greg did indeed do a wonderful job – he’s a talented guy.

He does deserve a prime time show of his own. Maybe on a less “fair and balanced” network though…

        • You don’t mean give him a show on MSNBC do you?

          • Sober_Thinking

            Lol… wow… that’s the closest you’ve come to cussing at me!!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’d like to see a network that is ONLY right leaning… like MSNBC, but the exact opposite. A network that doesn’t water down or mix the truth with manure. One that is “Honest and Right” vs. “Fair and Balanced”. Frequent guests would include Michelle Bachman and Jim Demint, Ted Nugent, Allen West, Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin, Mark Levin, Mark Mix, Dick Armey, Thomas Sowell, Daniel Hannan, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck… and so many others. Maybe have a few solid, conservative pastors or Evangelists? Graham?

If such a place existed… then that’s where Greg and a few others ought to go. Maybe they could have a show called “The Four” (minus Bob). Just spit-ballin here…

  • Whaaat! ones a chuclehead and the others a ghoul!, Mr Gutfeld has these liberal punks down pat, so good for him.
Tell it like it is brother, the frying pan is hot and your cooking them with crisco.
    no more Mr nice guy.

  • mike3e4r7

Beckel was trying desperately to find something wrong to say with Gutfeld’s points but couldn’t find anything. He just looked unhappy and asked some lame question about “what is a ghoul”. Gutfeld should have said, “you are, Bob”.

    • the look on Beckel’s facve was part of what made this such an enjoyable clip ๐Ÿ™‚

      • mike3e4r7

        Yeah, that was enjoyable!

      • colliemum

And the rest just sat there like scolded schoolchildren – pity the clip didn’t show us their jaws hitting the floor.

        Well done, Mr Gutfeld, Sir!

      • BikerHoop

I was surprised Beckel didn’t butt in like he usually does and start spewing his liberal vitriol. You know the kind I’m talking about… the kind that makes his obvious lack of any reasonable semblance of intelligence stand out like a liberal in a logic class.

        • I was waiting for it too- and pleasantly surprised when he kept his mouth shut ๐Ÿ˜‰

          • BikerHoop

Yeah, me too. With him that’s always a good thing.

            • The more he keeps his mouth shut, the more intelligent he looks! ๐Ÿ™‚ Then he opens it… All that good work looking intelligent gone!

              • BikerHoop

                Ain’t that the truth!!

    • E. Lee Zimmerman

That would’ve been too easy, even for Gutfield, to state the obvious: Beckel is a ghoul.

  • mike3e4r7

And yes, Whitcock is a worthless bigot. Anything wrong this Cheifs player (can’t remember his name) did isn’t his fault, it’s white guys trying use guns for sport or to defend themselves and their families. And girly men like Costas make a career of praising black bigots. “See Mr. Whitcock? I’m not like those other white people. Please love me.”

  • 911Infidel

Newsflash for Whitlesslock: It was Dhimiratz that enacted the first gun control laws in order to disarm blacks and prevent them from defending themselves against white Dhimirat members of the KKK. So shove it bud.

It isn’t the gun culture or the NRA that killed Jovan it is the gang culture.

    • 3seven77

“It isn’t the gun culture or the NRA that killed Jovan it is the gang culture.”

And that right there is the absolute truth of the matter. That’s something Costas, most blacks, and the left will never, ever admit. Gang culture is a huge part of the culture of the left. They’ve embraced gang culture and they reward it by glorifying it through music, dance, language, money and fame. It’s so much a part of the left that gang shootings even happen during their entertainment award ceremonies. Remember the BET awards a few years ago? And how many famous rappers have been killed by rivals and other gangs?

      • They won’t address it because thats exactly where they want to keep their voting bloc, dumbed down,,teach them to hate and kill each other, then tell them its not their faults,,,but the Mean ol’ Conservatives aka ‘The Man’ for not outlawing guns and not legalizing drugs…some are waking up to it if they live long enuff…

  • Well that was fun.

    • Nukeman60

Gutfeld is the reason I still watch The Five. Normally, it is just another version of The View, but with more right-leaning people than left. Many of them think Beckel is a nice guy, but Gutfeld calls it as he sees it.

Most of the time it breaks down to a gaggle of babbling nothingness, but Gutfeld cuts through it with a fine combination of satire and sarcasm (and he’s not afraid to say what he thinks).

  • I made the comment in front of others about this tragedy. It was simple. “So, what if the guy used a car to run over his girlfriend? Ban Automobiles?”. Someone got ‘offended’ and said “You don’t agree with banning guns?”

That was a fish on my hook. I happily reeled that bugger in. “Let’s say you’re my neighbor and you don’t have guns. Someone is breaking into your house. You know I have guns. Wouldn’t you want me to come help you if it came to that?”

Outlawing guns just means only Outlaws (criminals) will have guns, and the innocent people are left defenseless. It also allows the Federal Government imposing unconstitutional laws (which they are already doing), but by force.

  • anneinarkansas

Greg was wound up and correct. These liberals are disgusting.
Whitlock compared the NRA to the KKK.

  • I also thought that Whitlock’s comment on the KKK was stupid and what makes it even more stupid is the fact that the mainstream media keeps giving morons like that a platform to spew their stupidity. I wish somebody would have someone like Greg Gutfeld actually debate someone like Whitlock on TV to call them out for once and have the public see how foolish their arguments are. THAT would be refreshing, although it will never happen, especially with the mainstream media.

    • Nukeman60

Exactly. The only debates we see are on LameStream TV, where they set the agenda and pick the participants. The Conservative view is promoted on talk radio (and that is a good thing), but when it comes to TV, the liberals control 98% of it (and it appears FOX is starting to lean toward the left more and more every day).

  • Allan

Same idiot who made the Jermey Lin comment last year. Boy, he gets smarter every day.

  • NYGino

Nice job by Gutfeld calling Costas and Whitlock out as the low caliber hypocrites that they are; or should I have said no caliber?

  • E. Lee Zimmerman

Gutfield’s spot on there. This was Costas moment to draw attention to Costas. Despicable.

    • Dukehoopsfan

“This was Costas moment to draw attention to Costas.”

      Bingo! Just another camera whore.

  • MeanGreenBeret

These people all despise weapons until they are needed to protect themselves against the criminal element.

Here’s an idea, tell Obama his secret service detail can no longer carry.See how that goes over. They can protect him with bayonets….

  • Very well said Greg! Bang! You hit the target dead in the center! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Sandra123456

I just lost some respect for Bernie Goldberg last night who was on O’Reilly to defend Costas. Among other things Goldberg stated that Jason Whitlock, who called NRA members the new KKK, was a “…very fine columnist, and that Costas was just concerned about the culture of guns in this country.

Must be Costas got a lot of blow back form his editorial. I am just shaking my head over what Goldberg said.

    See for yourself:

    • Nukeman60

I saw that last night and was appalled by what Goldberg said. I have never really ‘liked’ his point of view, but this was bending over backwards for absolutely no reason. I’m glad you mentioned it. I thought at the time there might be a thread on Scoop today about it.

  • This comment is not directed at the good Scoopers here, but at the media.

I’d like to see more condemnation of the shooter. He murders his girlfriend of many years, shooting her NINE times!!!! He has made an orphan of the little 3 month old innocent child who is now deprived of growing up knowing and loving his/her (I’m not sure which the child is) Mother! Those two facts alone should send this dirtbag straight to Hell, but no. He goes to the stadium and calls out 2 other people to kill himself in front of! Leaving those two gentlemen with a horrifying memory as well. What a cowardly, narcissistic, self absorbed, dirty rotten POS the killer (I deliberately won’t use his name) truly is!

Why isn’t the media concentrating on this, instead of talk of banning handguns and how many bangs to the head the killer might have had. There are THOUSANDS if not millions of people who play football and get their heads banged in. The killing has nothing to do with head banging!

The media also immediately jumped upon it’s little hobby horse named “gun control” and disgustingly and cynically exploited the murder/suicide to try and advance the liberal agenda of disarming the law abiding American citizen. They use statistics to back this up, but it’s all baloney and everyone knows it. If that killer didn’t have access to a gun, do you think he wouldn’t have used a knife? If not that, an iron bar? Anything really.

I hope this murdering rotten dirtbag is burning in Hell as I type because for what he did, that’s where he deserves to be.

My rant is now ended, you may read on in peace! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Sandra123456

      Applause. Well said/written.

      • Thanks Sandra. It had to be said.

    • WhiteGuy2

Exactly,……. no one in the main stream media is condemning the shooter. Instead they cast blame on others who had nothing to do with it. Perhaps if the killer was a whiteguy he would have recieved some condemnation. In the age of Obama, Holder, Rice, a black person cannot be held responsible for there own action. No matter how many innocents die because of them.

      • NYGino

“Gots to take care a my peoples”

      • NHConservative0221

        Exactly right….sad but true.

Whites are now routinely discriminated against for all the reasons you said… everything is our fault and now it’s “payback” time!

Just look at affirmative action and everything else!

    • tinlizzieowner

And now we find out that he was out all night, drunk, fooling around with his newest prospective ‘shack-job’ and the mother of his baby got upset about it.
Let’s blame guns, let’s blame possible football concussions, let’s blame everything BUT his obvious lack of moral character, right?
      ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • I was out and just head all that on talk radio too. He has a history of domestic violence and control issues as well and not just with the mother of his baby but with a previous girlfriend. What an upstanding citizen he is.

        • tinlizzieowner

I love this part. The cops find him passed out in a car parked on the street and all they do is tell him ‘not to drive’? Do you think that is what would happen to some average shmuk? I can testify from experiences long ago, that it isn’t.
#1. The car was a Bentley. #2. The driver was a famous sports figure. #3. He’s a famous Black sports figure.
The average shmuk would have has his car keys confiscated, at the very least, or been hauled in for being drunk in public at the very most.

          • If that were me or you… We’d be lucky not to end up in the clink. Perhaps if the cops had done their job, this dirtbag might have had to sober up and might not have done the murder/suicide… I’d hate to be the cop that let him go having that on my conscience.

    • unclesamnephew

dear wolfie, we are glad that you are noit howling mad at us scoopers

      • Oh this old wolf only bares his teeth at those who deserve it… And morons, but they always deserve it! This old wolf doesn’t suffer fools gladly either! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • mikeinidaho

As usual, Greg is correct about both those extreme left-wing losers. I wonder if Costas and Whitlock are dating or going steady at this point. Either way, they deserve each other.

  • Patriot077

I posted this on Scoop’s thread of Whitlock’s comment but it probably won’t get any media attention. It didn’t at the time and media is not searching for any real truth on Belcher’s own culpability. Just gun control and smear the NRA.

“I heard part of Todd Shnitt’s show today and the father of a man that was viciously bullied by Belcher as a kid. Worth listening to.

    • syvyn11

Try link again, goes to ‘page not found’.

Really want to listen to what the guy has to say.

      • Patriot077

Try this without the brackets. If that doesn’t work, just go to schnittshow dot com and you will see the headline.

        • That link works fine for me. Just FYI.

          • Patriot077

Thanks, wolf. What did you think of the father’s comments? I found him very believable and tortured at what his son had gone through with no help from any authorities.

            • He is believable! Thank you for posting that! Very revealing history of a young thug. Proof you can take the hoodlum out of the hood, but not the hood out of the hoodlum! I think the father is being ignored because his son is white and the perp is black. Doesn’t fit the libtard narrative you see…

              • Patriot077

I just tuned in to schnitt’s show and hope he has some follow up on it.

                • I’d not heard of him before your comment. Have you listened to him before? Is he any good?

        • DebbyX

Holy cow! That poor family. Thanks for the link. I too was “tortured” at school. As a blonde cheerleader, I was HATED by the black girls in my school. They took every chance they could to harass and try to humiliate me. Robbed me of lunch money, chased my friends and I to our cars, the whole nine yards.

Listening to that brought back a whole lotta bad memories. But I’m glad you posted it.

          • Wow DebbyX did you get any help from the school to put a stop to this racist hate attacks?

            • DebbyX

No, back in the day, we just sucked it up and went on. There was no such thing in the 70’s as going to the Principal and telling him that.

He probably would have told me to run a little faster.

  • syvyn11

If you want to voice your displeasure at Costas comments, don’t complain to NBC. That’s nothing but a waste of time. Voice your ire with the NFL.

The NFL has final say on who is on their broadcasts (any broadcast that carries the “NFL” shield). They might work for that particular network, but the NFL has to approve them.

If the NFL gets enough complaints, they’ll press on NBC. And NBC can’t risk losing their only successful program.

  • Howzah123

It wasn’t Bob’s fault guys. The microphone made him do it.

    • Sandra123456

      Ahhh….so true….Now that’s a great example of Liberal thought.

    • NHConservative0221

Funny, but please give credit where it’s due.

Rush just did a whole segment on that! ๐Ÿ™‚

Rush said we need to do background checks before giving people microphones… that he knows we have the 1st amendment but the Founders never heard of or envisioned microphones, PA systems, tvs, etc.

      • It was so funny too! I was outside raking leaves and my back was killing me and then it rained a bit… Great… Then Rush came on the radio and that whole segment about mikes just had me laughing out loud! I hope Scoop might be able to find it and share it, it was Rush at his brilliant and funniest best!

  • Nukeman60

After this glorious rant, Beckel’s only question is, “What’s a ghoul?” Bob, you’re a ghoul. Look in the mirror. And then just please be quiet, you’re interupting my listening pleasure.

  • Lee

Beckel is a moron. How did this guy EVER get a voice on Fox News??

    • tinlizzieowner

Because Fox News is the only thing that even remotely comes close to being a ‘Fair and Balanced’ news source, that’s how.

  • Funny, I don’t recall a mass outcry to ban knives, after O.J’s double homicide! Only a fool blames the tool, not the human who uses it! We all should be held accountable for OUR own actions, not be held accountable for the actions OF OTHERS.

    • Kane Able even… Kane didn’t even have an illegal handgun!

  • Funny, I don’t recall a mass outcry to ban knives, after O.J’s double homicide! Only a fool blames the tool, not the human who uses it! We all should be held accountable for OUR own actions, not be held accountable for the actions OF OTHERS.

  • James1754

Some nice points, I most especially liked the comment about we all have guns outside but most Americans do not.

  • kong1967

Greg and Dana are awesome. So are the others, but those two are my favorite. Woops, Bob sucks.

  • DebbyX

    Some of us do.

Have guns I mean, not live in buildings with armed guards.

  • Greg hit the nail on the head. Those whining over gun bans are usually the ones with paid protection.

As for the KKK comment, when intelligent comments can’t be made some always fall back on the controversial. That insures their name makes headlines.

  • Go ahead and try to ban guns. Little old church ladies in black, inner city neighborhoods will still pack heat, just like they do now, with the same, unregistered guns. And good for them for not being as stupid as Bob (‘The Ghoul’) Costas.

  • Banksters_Rule_the_World

Americans have the will to resist because you have weapons. If you don’t have a gun, freedom of speech has no power.
