Greg Gutfeld isn’t buying what Stewart told Wallace the other day regarding his lack of bias but he does suggest that Stewart believes what he is saying. It’s just that Stewart doesn’t realize how far in the tank he really is:

Stewart and his writers are not swimming in it.
They are just floating in the same toilet bowl.
It’s an interesting point that Libs are so entrenched in their own ideology and, I would add, so out of the main stream that they don’t realize that the majority of Americans disagree with them.
P.S. I just started taping Red Eye, what a funny and enlightening show!
You remind me of the old “joke.” The NY Times editor saying in 72, “I don’t see how Nixon carried 49 states. I don’t know a single person who voted for him.”
They don’t know they don’t know.
Yep – it’s pathological in nature and can go far beyond a personality disorder.
Sounds like the inmates are running the asylum. Oops – we don’t have those places anymore so I guess they’re running just about anything and everything they can, including DC.
The liberal/left/progressives perceive themselves as moderate and mainstream, and definitely never biased… all claims which prove how GLORIOUSLY UN- SELF-AWARE they really are. They tread the liberal waters of fiction so long that even they believe their own press. But… point this out, and you are a biased FOX liar and racist. Funny how that works!
Does a fish know that it is in water? That is Stewart.
Right on, Greg. I love it when he’s in that “slightly serious mode.”
Did they pull the video?
this is *exactly* what JS said to CW. same substantive argument, that CW and those he works with/for at fox are unable to see the extent to which their ideological perspective frames their overall interaction the world.
none of the posters here have noticed that. which, on a very basic level, validates JS’ point in a measureable, practical way.
i’m not suggesting JS is free of bias – to my mind, objectivity is a complete myth – but it is really interesting that even in this anonymous, free space you don’t seem to be able to maintain the most cursory level of self-awareness.
not sure what it means, but it is pretty fascinating.
