Amen, to that. Remember, there are two types of patriot warriors. Those that go and fight have it easier, in my opinion than those warriors, like yourself, who stay and carry on the fight at home. THAT is the more difficult fight. It's hard to know who the enemy is most of the time. Don't under value what you and those like you do. Keeping the home fires burning is the hardest job.

It's good to be appreciated for what you did! To see people happy and living and free because of decisions you made. FREEDOM is NEVER FREE as well you know...
It isn't you or those that thank me. It's just a wierd thing. I was a self proclaimed tough guy, super athlete when school aged. I joined the Corps as a test of my own mettle. Then, what happened, happened and it changes a person, as you well know. So, in my mind, when someone thanks me, my brain goes to why I originally joined and think, what is worth thanking me for? Somehow, a vets brain separates why we did it, with what we did once there. I probably need a pshrink to explain and I'm even confusing myself. Oh, hell....

Because, under different circumstances I would have been right there beside you in whatever godforsaken foxhole you found yourself... And I'd have been happy to be there with you my brother! But God, in His wisdom... brought you home because he had more for you to do, and I didn't get to do what I wanted to do because He wanted me to do something different... Gad... I'm starting to sound like a preacher man... LOL! I better shut up! :-)
