When unions buy ads to run against candidates, it’s all well and good. But when conservative organizations do it, it threatens the fabric of political debate or something. It’s just so stupid.
What isn’t stupid is that these ads by conservative groups are effective and threaten the electoral chances of Democrats anywhere. Which is why Harry Reid is so obsessed with defaming both the ads and the people who fund them…the Koch brothers. So once again Reid takes to the floor to rail against these men, calling them oil barons and saying he’s not afraid to expose them or something:
