Here’s how Trump is likely going to win most of the delegates in Missouri

As you may already know by now, most of Missouri’s delegates are awarded as winner-take-all by congressional district. If you win the district, you get all 5 delegates from that district.

Also, there are 12 statewide delegates that are also winner-take-all.

Based on this, it looks like Trump will walk away with 42 of the 52 delegates in Missouri last night even though he only won the state by less than 1%. This leaves Cruz with only 10 delegates from Missouri:

Cruz only won 2 districts and didn’t win statewide, so that’s why he only gets 10 delegates.

Here’s the bottom line. If Rubio had been honest about the Florida polls and hadn’t stayed in the race until last night, Cruz would have not only won Missouri but also North Carolina and possibly Illinois and would have walked away with far more delegates than he got last night.
