Herman Cain gave an electric speech today at CPAC. I’m still watching it at double speed to try and catch up, but I didn’t want to withhold it from any longer. It is awesome!

Enjoy!

Finally thanks posting been waiting for this speech to show up on the internet… It’s a good one!!

  • zytekfan

Best speech thus far I think. Herman Cain definitely has a grasp of what’s going on in the country today. And he definitely doesn’t care what other people think. As Bachmann said earlier today, whoever wins in 2012 better be willing to be a one term president and I think Cain would do what’s necessary to return America to greatness, no matter the cost to his political career.

He’s truly the one to watch right now.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_ZM2XJEWHT7NXOHZTZWBFVKALNI DetroitS

If Palin runs and wins the nomination, he would be a great VP candidate. I like him a lot.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Bob-Zee/1060674129 Bob Zee

I thought about that too. It would truly be an “outsider” ticket.

    • Anonymous

If Sarah Palin chose Herman Cain as VP that would be one sure way for me to stop supporting her.

He’s Ross Perot all over again. And that’s not a compliment.

      • Anonymous

You mean the same Ross Perot that successfully advocated financing debt with short-term financing instead of financing school lunches with 30 year T-Bills. The same Ross Perot who rightly called NAFTA “that great sucking sound” of American jobs to Canada and Mexico. Enough said…

        • Anonymous

Yes, that’s him. The same Ross Perot who suspended his campaign because he said people were out to get him. The same Ross Perot who then started his campaign up again in time to get Bill Clinton elected. That’s him.

          • Dbehsman

No offense Jaynie59, but it was George Bush 41 who got Bill Clinton elected.

        • Anonymous

There is no problem with the “great sucking sound” every company should have the right for the cost savings. Unions and minimum wage caused the effect, by throwing the input markets outside of equilibrium. Cain has my vote over any in the GOP, except maybe Bachmann.

      • m0rl0

yeah, better to vote for Obama again.

      • m0rl0

yeah, better to vote for Obama again.

      • Anonymous

Maybe Herman Cain will choose Sarah Palin.

  • Shane2813

    Great job Herman.

  • Joe the Cop

No teleprompter, no notes. Just sit back and let the awesomeness role over you.
Mr. Cain speaks with wit and good-natured optimism. He’s downright (uh-oh) Reaganesque.

    • Joe the Cop

      “Roll”, not role. My bad.

    • Anonymous

He is very clearly reading from a teleprompter of some sort. Notice how he keeps looking to the left… and then to the right… and then to the left… and then to the right…

Also, Reagan used a teleprompter all the f-ing time. Do you memorize 45 minute speeches?

      • Anonymous

Of course he memorized all those speeches, he’s Reagan. He fed the hungry, cured the blind, healed the sick, and died for your–oh wait, wrong guy.

      • Anonymous

No, I don’t think so. He seems to be addressing an audience full of people, looking around the room to talk to them.

      • Joe the Cop

I agree with another poster re: Mr. Cain turning his head back and forth to address the audience. Having heard some his radio broadcasts, this speech is delivered in the same way, re: cadence and pace. My use of the term Reaganesque refers to his optimism and inspiration, not the use of ‘prompters.

Thanks very much for giving me an excuse to watch this speech again.

        • Anonymous

… that’s why they usually put teleprompters to the right and left of the speaker…

    • Is_Sense_Common

Please read this note from HC – then carry on with the ridiculous discussion about teleprompters or no teleprompters. (does it really matter? haven’t we learned that talk is cheap?!?!

This man is speaking the truth! BRAVO!

  • Aerialcat

    Outstanding!… What a speaker.

  • Anonymous

Absolutely brilliant, not a politically correct bone in this great man’s body. It’s much easier to speak without a teleprompter when you believe in what you are saying, it doesn’t have to be read and you don’t have to try and remember what you stand for, it’s in your heart and soul. Love that he specifically calls out the people who are ruining this country, Cain is exactly what we should be looking for, smart, tough, no nonsense, great business and capitalist background, optimistic, not a career politician, not politically correct, plain speaking and a great American success story who is proud of his country, imagine that, a president who is proud of his country. That would be a welcome change.

  • kes

a West/Cain or Cain/west ticket? i am impressed by both. truly whomever runs against bambam will be trashed, but either would nullify the race card-which will be pulled again. just by listening to talk in my area.

  • http://twitter.com/ozziecastillo Ozzie Castillo

    What a great speech!

  • Political Bill.

I have seen a lot of things in my life. This speech was a jaw dropper.

    • Anonymous

I was going to just check in and I am still listening.

  • MKB

Oh, how I love this man. Wish he would run for president, that would be plus for the USA.

He is the only Republican to announce an exploratory committee. Go to his site hermancain.com and show him your support so he will run. Then go to cafepress.com and buy Herman Cain bumper stickers

  • Political Bill.

I am sitting here in the wee hours of the morning watching this again. A man
with a plan.. just like he had with Godfathers Pizza. Well, he pulled that one out
of the “dumper.” and to even mention the “Fair Tax,” when no one else will.
    I love Divine Intervention….

    • http://doorwaybuck.com CM Sackett

      Bill,

If you’re talking about THE “Godfather’s” Pizza (mid-west company… I nearly “lived” at the one in York, NE while in college)… BEST PIZZA ON EARTH (for any sort of ‘chain’ ~ PERNA’S pizza, in Rock Falls, IL. was the schnitz for authentic SICILIAN PIE!!!)

      Yessir, I MISS GODFATHER’S!!!

    - Potential candidates whom I could support:

Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Gary Johnson.

    – Potential candidates whom I am indifferent to:

Rick Perry, John Thune, Mitch Daniels, John Bolton, Mike Huckabee, Donald Trump.

    – Potential candidates who would make me run for the hills:

Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, Rick Santorum, Haley Barbour, Sarah Palin.

    • John

Ok, just saw Mitch Daniels’ speech. FANTASTIC. That guy would make a great leader. Cool, calm, articulate, humorous and has a great record. A modern day James Madison.

Newt “I ditched my first wife when she had cancer to marry my second wife who was then my mistress and then I cheated on her with the woman who became my third wife while leading an impeachment of the president for marital infidelity” Gingrich?

      • Anonymous

Clinton was impeached for perjury, not marital infidelity.

        • Anonymous

          I’m aware.

          • Shralper

If you are aware, then why do you continue to parrot the left’s lie that Clinton was impeached for marital infidelity?

I think the topic needs even further clarification– Clinton was impeached for perjury during a case where he was being accused of sexual harassment by Paula Jones. Establishing him as a philanderer was completely material in the plantiff’s case and therefore was allowed by the judge. Instead, Clinton perjured himself in an attempt to deprive the poor woman justice.

You clinton supporters make me sick. He was governor when he did the harrassing…the highest form of abuse of power. What if he had dropped his pants in front of your sister, mom, girlfriend or wife and told her to “kiss it”? Then how would you feel?

Allen West, Herman Cain, Sarah Palin, and Michele Bachmann are my four favorites right now, don’t see anyone else truly standing up for small government. I just hope we don’t get another John McCain like ticket.

    • Anonymous

Agree 100%, those are the four who stand out to me right now, also love John Bolton who would make a great secretary of state. Isn’t it amazing looking back at all the hatred the left, libs and dems had for Bolton when he was our U.N. ambassador, there is no room in their world for the truth. By the way West’s speech at CPAC sure sounded like he’s in for 2012.

  • paul

    What about Herman Cain?

  • Norma156

Wonderful. Palin supporters, I like her, but she’s a little thin-skinned. The flap with Santorum was unnecessary, distracting and didn’t show her in a favorable light. She doesn’t have to respond to EVERYTHING. This guy doesn’t seem to care who likes or doesn’t like him. I am floored. And, why just VP???

    • Anonymous

The last adjective I would think of to describe Sarah Palin is thin-skinned.In a very short time she was the most investigated, attacked, slandered, libeled, and defamed human being on the face of the earth, and yet she has not only survived but thrived. Smart, tough, honest, patriotic, attractive and sensible come to mind, but never thin-skinned.

    • Anonymous

How did we get on Sarah? This is a piece on Herman Cain.

  • Tomgraycycles

He’s the one that comes out of left field and has the ability to beat Obama. Here’s to his nomination.

  • Diamondback

    Believe in God.

And this advice from a barefoot slave/sharecropper fresh off the farm/plantation.

THAT, Folks, is what America [was] all about and where we need to get back to.

God Bless you Mr. Cain and God Bless America, my home sweet home.

What kind of America will we leave to our kids and grandkids?

  • Anonymous

What i think would be cool is for Herman Caine and Obama to give a speech and the rules would be no teleprompter, no notes on paper, no TV support ,each would give a speech different from the other, any topic and last no longer than 30 minutes. An educated voter is the government’s worse nighmare.

  • Anonymous

I really like this man. Straightforward, great speaker, great motivator. He would wipe the floor with Obama. I’d pay money to see that.

“INSPIRATIONAL FROM THE START,a Warrior for LIBERTY,a Warrior for COMMEN SENCE,a Warrior for a TRULY FREE ENTERPRISE CAPITALIST SYSTEM,THROW OBAMA OUT AND START OVER and RESET AMERICA in Herman Cain’s VISION,Knowledge and the Truth will set us all FREE,RIGHT ON, RIGHT ON and RIGHT ON from the start to the finish Mr.Herman Cain you sir are a GREAT AMERICAN PATRIOT with the Charisma and Knowledge you have.A RUN in 2012 for The President of the United States is a sure thing IF HE WANTS IT .Let us Pray for Mr.Cain and his VISION and VALUES , GOD , BELIEVE IN ONES SELF and the EXCEPTIONALISM of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA !

    “NO NOTES.”

  • T A Keller

A truly powerful speech that speaks to the truth and of the truth is he Presidential ? maybe. Conservatives need a strong candidate for 2012 is Herman Cain it? could very well be. However let us not fall into the game of making a pick based on one speech… I have to admit I have never listened to his radio show but then again most of America probably has not as well. He is someone that if as he says I can agree with more than disagree with would be someone that I could support and look for that 7/10 homerun…. it is good to see that he is out there looking into the possibility of it all just the same and I say good luck to him and will be looking for and listening to more from him …

    • http://twitter.com/poolboy88 Alex Ward

Go to youtube and look up more of his speeches. I listened to him when he was on the radio because I live in Atlanta, and I can assure you that this speech is truly a snapshot of who he really is. My favorite is when he talks about finding the solutions to the right problems. Again, go listen to more of his videos and then show your support at his website hermancain.com. So far he is the only Republican with an exploratory committee formed so he needs to see our support before he makes an official run. I will be honest the only thing I don’t like about him exploring a potential candidacy is not being able to listen to his show on the radio.

Heads up people incase you have not heard – Herman Cain supports the NWO (this may be just a rumor????) fact is he worked at the Federal Reserve (check his bio) and does not think auditing them is worthwhile. He could be right and may waste time and resources just to confirm how crooked they are.

He says what we want to here and since we have not heard anyone speak like a President in quite sometime we’re in starvation mode, but have reservations about the Fed Res stuff. He may be valuable as an insider but these are two concerns – please check everything before we support another Oblunder.

  • Is_Sense_Common

Love Love Love this man! Why oh why does he not get more press – yet?!?!

  • http://www.facebook.com/AMrSmith Robert Smith

I don’t care either. Say what ya want about being a free man, but I have gotten used to it, and now I WANT MORE FREEDOM.

  • Shralper

I’ve known about Herman Cain going all the way back to business school in 1992. He’s the real deal. He’s a true leader with an unbelievable story of success, is extremely articulate, and is a proud, non-apologetic American. I read his website and if anything, he’s playing down his resume…not padding it up like that empty suit who’s currently in the White House.

Cain is the guy I’ve been waiting for. The fact that he’s black just makes him all the more perfect. He would wipe up the floor with BO in a debate. I can see it now. It would be like a father reprimanding his know-it-all son about the real world. I’d pay money to watch it.

    Run Herman RUN!!!

    • Shralper

Oh yeah, and Herman Cain is no Ross Perot. He didn’t make his millions by sponging off of the federal government’s welfare system after suspiciously being awarded the first Medicare payment processing contract without any competitive bidding process. Nope, Cain made his millions in the real world.
