If you aren’t familiar with Anderson Cooper’s RidicuList, it’s a segment on his show where he highlights something absolutely ridiculous and occasionally ends up giggling like a schoolgirl through the entire segment.
Well today we have a recommendation for the RidcuList and it comes directly from CNN’s Chris Cuomo who took to Twitter this morning to embarrass himself by suggesting that hate speech is unconstitutional or something (h/t: Twitchy):
it doesn't. hate speech is excluded from protection. dont just say you love the constitution…read it https://t.co/znZJ8cPvpX

Twitter responded as you might expect:
@ChrisCuomo hey, long time listener first time caller, looking for this in this constitution you speak of. Got a link?

@ChrisCuomo I did read the First Amendment, and still can't find the "hate speech" exception to free speech. Can you point it out for us?

Such a painfully dumb tweet! @ChrisCuomo: can you point to where this free speech "exception" is in US Constitution? https://t.co/Z4yCw7IrsQ

I like the part where @ChrisCuomo tells someone to read the Constitution while simultaneously getting the Constitution wrong.

.@ChrisCuomo Your smug attitude about "reading the constitution" really makes this perfect.

I think somebody played a prank on @chriscuomo and gave him the Canadian constitution. https://t.co/SyYWZyjs0F
