Hilda Solis says Tea Party hurt the economy for not wanting to engage Obama

Outgoing Labor Secretary Hilda Solis blames the Right and the Tea Party for hurting the economy, suggesting they never wanted to engage Obama despite olive branches he extended to them (h/t: SooperMexican):

Yes, in many ways we did not get the kind of support we needed originally when he took office for the American Recovery Act funds, we didn’t get the votes that were needed there. It’s been a hard line for him because we’ll make overtures to try and extend an olive branch to them and they seem to turn away. And even now as we go into these other fiscal debates there are many in the small group known as the Tea Party movement that just do not want to engage with the president at all. And really that’s unfair because you’re not just hurting the president, because that’s not the point here. You’re hurting the American public and our country and our economy and the future of our country.

Seems that I recall Obama telling Republicans “I won” back in 2009 when they were putting ideas on the table to grow the economy. Doesn’t sound like much of an olive branch to me. Truthfully, the only concessions he ever made was for his own reelection purposes and not to extend olive branches or to the Right or help the country. No, they ignored the economy to pass Obamacare and the Stimulus, adding 6 trillion to the debt in four years. And somehow she blames this on the Tea Party?
