Today I found out that I was eligible to upgrade to the iPhone 3G S, which wasn’t the case a week ago. I’m not sure what changed, but I’m happy about it. Incidentally, if you are curious as to whether you are eligible to upgrade your current iPhone 3G to the new 3G S, just dial *639# and it will tell you.
So after activating it, I was amazed at how much faster it loaded applications and web pages. I put together a little video to show how much faster the 600mhz processor is when loading one of my favorite sites on WIFI: www.hotair.com. I would have done both on 3G, but only one has service. It’s short and quick but you’ll get the idea.
As a bonus, I loaded the same site with my NEW iPhone 3G S on 3G, and my OLD iPhone 3G on WIFI. Confused yet?
