Howard Dean goes all in, says First Amendment does NOT protect Ann Coulter’s ‘hate speech’

While I’m no fan of Ann Coulter, who is nothing but a political chameleon these days, I do think Howard Dean has clearly lost it in this interview below where he suggests that the First Amendment doesn’t protect Ann Coulter’s ‘hate speech’:

So what Dean is really saying here is that if triggered college students are threatening to riot over Coulter’s visit, then that must mean that what Ann Coulter has to say is not protected by the first amendment because it’s only going to incite violence.

Ugh.

What’s so scary about Dean’s line of thinking is that it’s a very slippery slope to tyranny. If we adopt his fascist ideals, then one day even churches wouldn’t be able to preach against homosexuality because gays are going to riot. Anything the liberal state doesn’t like will be called ‘hate speech’ and it will be vanquished.
