Kellyanne Conway made a pretty classic distinction without a difference fallacy in this interview where she’s basically defending Trump’s stupid insulting tweets.

This is a wretchedly dumb argument, and one that Trump allies use a lot. If you criticize some stupid insult that he makes, they immediately defend his “right” to say it, which is a completely different thing altogether. It really is just tedious and tiresome. And we have three and a half more tedious, tiresome, annoying years of it to go. At least.
