Israeli police release aerial video of protesters stoning Israeli police at Rahat funeral

I’ve been looking for the whole video that police released today and I’ve not been able to find it. But I do have some clips that explain what’s going on. First, here’s the lowdown from Jerusalem Online on the funeral in the Bedouin town of Rahat:

A video shot from a police helicopter and released today (Tue) reveals the funeral procession of Sami Al Ja’ar in Rahat last week, during which hundreds of rioters gathered around a police car, hurling stones at it. One rioter was killed and dozens were injured in the clashes.

The police car was driving down the same road in which the funeral procession was taking place, and the officers found themselves completely blocked. “Masses of raging rioters gathered around the car, and began stoning the officers”, the police stated.

The video shows the police car as it tries to make its way through the crowd, bumping into several vehicles on the way. Security forces shortly arrived at the scene and began using riot control to disperse the crowd. The forces were able to rescue the police officers, who had been mildly injured.

In this first video you can see protesters hurling rocks at Israeli Police:

Here’s a longer video of the Israeli cop fleeing for his life in his vehicle:

Here’s a video of more Israeli police arriving to fight back the protesters:

Here’s another video of this, upside down:

This is the crap Israeli police have to put up with. And as you can probably imagine, it’s still going on as protests are still raging in Rahat. It’s being reported now that a pipe bomb was lobbed at officers, though none were hurt.
