They just made Ivanka Trump an official unpaid advisor to her father:
KETV – First daughter Ivanka Trump will now have an official role in the White House, according to a spokesperson.
Recently Ivanka was given an office in the West Wing but this week her role was announced. According to the New York Times, Ivanka will serve as an unpaid adviser to the president.
“I have heard the concerns some have with my advising the president in my personal capacity while voluntarily complying with all ethics rules, and I will instead serve as an unpaid employee in the White House office, subject to all of the same rules as other federal employees,” said Ivanka Trump in a statement.
Apparently all the blowback they got over Ivanka having access to classified material while not having an official position in the government led them down the path to give her an official position in government.
So now she has one of the highest positions in the administration as an advisor to Trump – and that serves as the justification they need for her classified information.
Ugh. I guess we did elect the whole family.
