Jay Carney refuses to admit Jerusalem is capital of Israel

The Weekly Standard suggests that Carney “unable to identify the capital of Israel” but in my opinion there was no “unable” about it. Carney simply refused to repeat the policy of this administration when asked which is the capital of Israel, Jersualem or Tel Aviv:

If this weren’t an election year he probably would have gleefully answered the question with “Tel Aviv”.

Because obama has been telling the muslime brotherhood that Jerusalem is the capital if Palestine

    • Jay

Muslime, that’s good. Didn’t catch it the first time. Pardon my asking, but isn’t Philo Beddoe related to the philosopher Harold Callahan?

  • anyonebutbarry2012

Romney better start stepping up his campaign, he best be calling this garbage that barry touts out or this is NO hope for him being elected. People are sick of whats going on, not just with the economy either.

    • johnos2112

      The takers aren’t!

    • Agreed. This is something Newt would have slammed in his response by now. Come on Mitt! I know you are overseas and do not want to bash our sitting president while overseas. I get that and I respect that. But you can still make a comment while you are in Israel in a few days that will address your stance that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

    • aZjimbo

Have you not seen any of Romneys ads?

  • WordsFailMe

He like an obedient dog, ears, tail and testiculars neatly trimmed. I doubt if the Obamanite lets Carney on the White House carpet though. Carney looks like a butt slider and wee-wee type to me.

  • Joe

    The answer is:

    Israel says it is Jerusalem

The International community says it is Tel Aviv (The US embassy is located there)

    Sooo– It is ????

Good heavens this guy is a SHMUCK!

    What a mess!

  • Army_Pilot1967

Well, Jay, what is the correct answer according to your boss?????? I can’t wait to hear the answer, so please, please tell us.

How does he sleep at night?

  • Let me see if I can help you there Junior.

Now the children of Judah had fought against Jerusalem, and had taken it, and smitten it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on fire.
    Judges 1:8

David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.
And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.
Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.
    2 Samuel 5:4-7

The men of Israel defeated the city of Jerusalem but did not inhabit the city until David, King of Israel captured Jerusalem around 1000 BC.

Of course, the City has fallen under other rulers from those who conquered Israel over the centuries, but since Israel has been reborn as a Nation, Jerusalem has been the capital.Even when the Israelites were taken away in captivity, they still remembered Jerusalem. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
    Daniel 6:10

It is the eternal city of God, and neither you, Junior, or anyone else, no matter how great and powerful you think you are, will change that fact.

The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
    Joel 6:13

So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
    Joel 6:17

And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
    Micah 4:2

    Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;
And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
    Zechariah 8:7,8

Jerusalem belongs to the Lord, you foolish little man, and some day He will establish His Holy City again.

    • Sober_Thinking

      Excellent response!!! You rock! 🙂

    • sinkat77

Well said!!!!! Thank you Americanbornincancda!!! And because they did not listen:

Jeremiah 51:7 Babylon was a golden cup in the Lord’s hand. That made all the earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; Therefore the nations are deranged. 8. Babylon has suddenly fallen and been destroyed. Wail for her! Take balm for her pain; Perhaps she may be healed. 9. We would have healed Babylon But she is not healed. Forsake her, and let us go everyone to his own country; For her judgement reaches to heaven and is lifted up to the skies.
Jeremiah 51:13 O you who dwell by many waters, Abundant in treasures, Your end has come, The measure of your covetousness. 14 The Lord of hosts has sworn by Himself: “Surely I will fill u=you with men as with locusts, And they shall lift up a shout against you.”

      • Amen! Not a pleasant picture, but they will have had plenty of warnings. All they need to do is heed them and they won’t have to suffer for them.

  • Ten bucks says this idiot thinks manual labor is the illegal who mows his lawn!

  • 911Infidel

And I refuse to admit that Jay Carney has a brain.

  • Sober_Thinking

Like a ripe pimple on an oily face, Jay Carney speaks and acts just as grossly as the master he serves. And America needs to pop these pimples and squeeze them right out onto the streets.

I use the gross “pimple” metaphor because these people are irritating infections and just like the pimple, what is inside them is gangrenous and vulgar.

  • MaroonRepublic

Maybe if 0 would go there he’d know.

    • p m

Hope they wouldn’t let him in. No reason to.

The White House removed references to Jerusalem, Israel from its website

  • jdbaird

The not-so-thinly-veiled anti semitism of the left… This is an example of their “unshakable commitment” to Israel, they won’t even acknowledge what Israeli’s consider to be their capital. Judging by his actions for the past few years, he has an even stronger commitment to the countries looking to destroy them.

  • What a pathetic waste of protoplasm.

  • sDee

    From US State Department website:
Capital: Government located in Jerusalem, Israel’s officially designated capital. In 1988 United States and most other countries continued to recognize Tel Aviv as capital and to maintain their chanceries there.

  • This answer should put Obama in “solid” with Jewish voters. I don’t have a clue as to why any Jew would vote for Obama these days, espcially if they care about what’s going to happen to Israel next year. The crisis with Iran is going to come to a head in 2013 and we had better be prepared for it. If Romney is president in 2013, I know which side we’re coming down on and it will be a big help to Israel. If Obama wins, I don’t even know if Israel will be around this time next year.

  • sybilll

This makes my blood boil. So help me, the Romney advisers must INSIST that the very first opportunity in a debate, Mitt MUST directly ask Obama this exact same question.

  • anyonebutbarry2012

Jay carney is a azz hat … enough said

  • B-Funk

This election can’t be over soon enough!

  • WordsFailMe

He denied Jerusalem twice. That’s almost biblical in proportion.

  • This assclown’s buffoonery should trigger a boycott. Reporters should refuse to cover Obama’s speeches and appearances, until he starts providing speakers that will respect the Press Corps, and stop playing games like this. They all should’ve started shouting demands that he answer the damned question, and if he refused, they should’ve declared the press conference OVER, and walked out.

  • aZjimbo

Does dumb jay even know Israel is a country?

    • Helen85

Betcha’ he spells it P-A-L-E-S-T-I-N-E, or as David would say, Philistine!

      • aZjimbo

        All anti-Israel sympathizers.

  • Rocco11

Was Jay this corrupt before he started working for Satan?

  • Jay

Can you believe this? The lapdog media just sat there while Spokesboy Carney told them, “F**k you!” 0 was made by the media, let’s hope they unmake him by Nov. 6th.

  • Army_Pilot1967

Remember when people used to crack on George Bush because of his smirk….check out Carney’s permanent smirk! NoShowobama could have selected a better frontman than Carney! He comes across as pathetic and unbelievable.

  • bobemakk

He probably doesn’t know the answer.

  • 12grace

Jay Carney, because you refuse to acknowledge Israel, G-d will refuse to acknowledge you or your name when you time on earth is over. Better bring some sun tan lotion where you are going, Carney.

  • stevenbiot

Obama would have to bow in forgiveness to countless Arab leaders in Carney answered the question.

  • What a weasel! – “Our position hasn’t changed”

Yes, the NObama admin was anti-Israel before and is still anti-Israel now. Thanks for confirming what everyone knew.

  • Jay Carney’s refusal to say that Jerusalem is the capital is technically correct, although the American public would be infuriated by it. Every President from Harry S Truman onward has recognized Tel Aviv as the capital, which is why our embassy is there and has been since 1966

One may bring up the Jerusalem Embassy Act, which passed with 91 percent support in the House and 95 percent support in the Senate, but the Justice Department contention is that in spite of its popularity, the law is unconstitutional.

    • Goods post. I think Israel should get to decide where it’s capital is and everyone else should respect that decision.
