Trump supporter Jeffrey Lord tried to distract from Trump’s odd exchange with April Ryan today at the press conference by saying that there should be no Congressional Black Caucus at all. Then he compared it to David Duke, former Imperial Wizard of the Klu Klux Klan and now just generally a racist, starting a white caucus in the Congress.
And then it got really crazy.
According to a report in the Daily Caller, the Trump administration has now reached out the Black Caucus for a meeting after Trump said that they had cancelled a meeting, which they denied.
Here’s the odd exchange he had with April Ryan:

Sulu had to be all snarky about it:
Trump asked a Black reporter if she was friends with the Cong'l Black Caucus. I should ask Trump if he's friends with all the Oompa Loompas.

So was the CBC:
Hi, @realDonaldTrump. We’re the CBC. We sent you a letter on January 19, but you never wrote us back. Sad! Letter: https://t.co/58KiuHmITF

I’m not sure if this is the best way to do outreach to the black community, but Trump DID get 2% more than Mitt Romney, so who knows?
