Jesse Ventura lost an appeal to re-instate a $1.8 million claim against the late “American Sniper” Chris Kyle and his estate over claims made in his book.
Ventura, a former Navy SEAL, took issue with Kyle’s claim in his book that Kyle punched Ventura at a California bar in 2006 for offensive comments about the SEALs.
Ventura claims that the incident never occurred, and that its inclusion in the popular book hurt his reputation in the SEAL community.
In 2014, a court awarded Ventura $1.3 million for unjust enrichment and $500,000 for defamation, but that was overturned after the circuit court found there was no precedent under Minnesota law for the award.
The Supreme Court declined to hear Ventura’s appeal, leaving intact the circuit court’s decision.
Ventura, a crazy conspiracy theory nutcase, says he’ll keep fighting to get his grungy fingers on Chris Kyle’s money.

The Navy SEAL sniper was killed in 2013 by a man he was trying to help deal with PTSD on a gun range. Ventura soon after sued his family for the millions earned by Kyle’s book.
