I have to admit I love it when Beck interviews someone, because he doesn’t go for all the fluff.  He’ll ask the tough questions and get the answers. Earlier today Beck gave his dire warning over this health care bill, and asked Demint if he was overstating it. Demint not only agrees, but believes that the bill will likely pass. They both agree that this is the tipping point.

Unfortunately, Sen DeMint is right. HC probably will pass. (And voting to move it to the floor is a weenie move. Once it's there, we're dead.) Mark Levin in Liberty and Tyranny points out how when Roosevelt came into power along with an overwhelming Democrat Congress, it proceeded to fundamentally change America. From a historical standpoint, I don't believe this House, Senate, and Administration will pass up this opportunity to cement more governmental control over our lives and continue the destruction of our liberty. Sen. DeMint is also right that those in power are hoping that America forgets. The thought that America will rise up in outrage, I believe, is wishful thinking. Levin also notes that liberty once lost is rarely recovered. John Stossel said on O'Reilly that he thinks people will just “take it.” With reports that a “test” vote will take place this weekend, I can't help but marvel at the arrogance, and how once again, a vote regarding a massive government program will be taken on the weekend isolated from voters.

Sorry, but I'm in the pessimism camp. This is bad, bad, bad for America and robs our children and our country of their/its future. I hope I'm proven wrong.
