Jimmy Carter makes an offer that the Trump administration definitely can and SHOULD refuse

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh no thanks.

That’s what President Donald Trump should say to former President Jimmy Carter, who is offering up his dubious expertise to the administration.

Remember when Obama said to Mitt Romney the 1980’s called when referring to his warnings about Russia? Well this is the 1970s calling, and if you have any experience at all with the 1970s, you’ll definitely screen that call. And then block that number. And then, you know, move to a different address and change your name. No thank, you 1970s. We’re trying our best to forget you.

Carter, 93, thinks he can help the State Department and the White House this year, explaining that he has the experience and the willingness. “I understand what they want and need,” he said in a recent interview. “And just this week – I had a representative from the White House who came down and gave me the latest developments…”

The “they” he is talking about is, of course, North Korea.

From the Washington Examiner:

Former President Jimmy Carter has offered his services to the Trump administration ahead of a meeting with North Korea later this year.

The Democratic leader cited 20 hours of experience working with previous senior officials in North Korea.

Here’s more from CNN and MSN:

The former president also told his Sunday school class about the briefing, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported recently.

“They came down the day that Kim Jong Un invited Trump to come over. So we had a lot to talk about,” he told the class.

Carter also told The New York Times last October that he had discussed the possibility of traveling to North Korea with his friend, national security adviser H.R. McMaster.

No. Nope. No no no. No. Nope. No. No thanks. Pass. No thank you. Don’t call us we’ll call you. Negative. Negatory. Nuh-uh. Naw. Nah.

Nope.
