Former congressguy Joe Walsh explained what happened when he was duped by Sacha Cohen into a fake interview.
It actually sounds kinda funny:
Surprisingly, Walsh was pretty easy on Cohen – he said he actually has enjoyed his comedic work before, and didn’t think the interview was all that damaging. Apparently he got Walsh to go on and on about how great Israel is, and told him that they arm toddlers and perhaps we should do that in America too.
BUT Walsh admits, and so does CNN host Mike Smerconish, that it is troubling that the guy apparently pretended to be a wounded veteran for the Palin interview. I guess we’ll find out how bad it is when the show finally comes out.
I want to add that Walsh has been shockingly fair during the Trump episode – he’s praised and supported the president when he’s done good stuff, but he has been very very honest in criticizing him when necessary. It’s good to see honest critics in a age of dishonest hyper-partisanship.
